"Hm, two's fine." Alex grabs two glasses from the shelf above the sink, and the milk and orange juice from the fridge. Just as he sets them all on the table, there's a acratching sound at the door, "Oh, right. Hey, fill this bowl with water, would you?" he says, sliding a metal pet bowl across the floor with his foot.

Alex chuckles, seeing how the boy is using his tail, "Scrambled's fine." he opens the door, letting in a black cat, "This is Clover, by the way." the cat slinks around his ankles for a moment, then walks over to Shar.

Alex wrinkles his nose, "Uh, sure, if he wants it." He kicks over another bowl, this one obviously for food. The toast chooses that moment to pop up from the toaster, and Alex gets back to work, "If you want butter, it's in the fridge; there's butter knives in the drawer, here." he sets the two slices on a plate, and puts two more in, making a mental note to get one of the fancier, four-slot toasters next chance he gets.

Clover laps up some water happily, and sniffs the egg for a minute before digging in. Alex watches with disgust as he sips his orange juice. Raw eggs. Ew.
Instead, he lets his eyes wander over the young boy cooking his breakfast. Alex had never considered himself a *****; hell, he didn't think of anything sexual at all when he bought the boy, 'At least, not consciously.' he thinks to himself. Suddenly, a thought occurs to him, "Hey," he says to Shar, "how'd a little kid like you end up in that market, anyway?"

Alex lets a small smile grace his face, and reaches out to fuffle the boy's hair - he catches himself at the last second. Instead, he scratches lightly behind the boy's feline ears, "Aw, don't worry. You're not alone anymore." in the comfort of his own home, Alex doesn't mind showing this side of his personality. He'll have to be careful not to spoil the boy, though.

Alex chuckles, "Heh, no problem...Shar." he sprinkles some salt onto the eggs, and starts on his breakfast, "Hm, this is pretty good." he says around a mouthful.

Alex pauses in his eating, chewing on the fork as he ponders, "Well," he says slowly, "there's lots of different kinds of slaves, and masters...But most of them grow up, and then choose it. A kid like you shouldn't have to grow up in a place like that. There's some really hardcore masters out there, too...can't have you goin' to someone like that. Besides, you're cute." he ends it with a half-smile, still not quite sure if what he's said is the comeplete truth or not, 'Ah, well. That's how I roll.' he thinks.
