"He reads minds!" Vance blurted out proudly. "But only I can hear him!" Yes, Mr. Bear was just that amazing. The boy's imagination was quite alive and well.
If Vance's bear had been an actual bear, chances were he would treat it the same, and would definitely ride it everywhere. The likely hood he could keep a bear was slim to none though.
Wow, so Deimos was scared of things? Lot's of things? "Aw, don't be scared!" Vance said encouragingly. "You have a big kitty to help you!" Why was he scared? "Is it bed bugs? Shadow monsters? Daddy says you can hide from them under the covers and you'll be safe!"
"Maybe they go to camp for it! They have camps for everything!" Vance said knowingly, having asked his Dad a lot of questions while reading a newspaper that happened have listings for summer camps. He didn't see any daddy camps though, so maybe it was top secret?

Deimos's eyes got wide. Wow... a mind reading bear? How scary was that? He gave a slight shiver and found himself hoping against hope that he was never so unlucky as to run across Vance's bear. Last thing he wanted to deal with was a giant carnivore that could both eat him in one bite as well as read his mind so he couldn't escape easily since the bear would know where he was going.
"Yes, that is true. Gigan makes a good bodyguard." He agreed before his eyes went a bit wide at the things that Vance listed off, "W-Wait... what are bed bugs?!" He squeaked, having never heard of those before and while shadow monsters sounded scary those he had already heard of and was already afraid of but the bed bugs thing was new and quite frightening. He would need to see if his Daddy Reu would help to check his room to make sure none of those had invaded... last thing he wanted to do was share his bed with bugs.
The fear was pushed aside, though only for a moment since he wasn't near his bed, and his attention turned back to the conversation on had about Daddy Camp, "A camp...? That would make sense." He murmured to himself in a thoughtful manner. So Daddy's had to go to camps first to learn everything that they knew so that they could get better at what it was that they did as parents. He wondered for a moment if there was a camp for Mommies as well but couldn't quite see Jiang going to one of those since the kirin hated to leave Reu's side.

Vance shrugged a bit at his question, not quite realizing the added paranoia he had inflicted upon the older boy. He was simply proud that he was teaching someone older than him. Vance puffed up a bit at this thought. "Daddy said they like dirty stuff. So dats why i gotta clean my room all the time." His father might have glorified the pesty creature in order to fear monger the boy into tidying his bedroom. It might have involved much bigger trickier bug tales.
Vance wasn't sure if Daddy Camp would be fun at all. It might just be full of adults. No toys maybe. Who knows. But his dad had to learn somewhere, and that seemed the most logical place. Little did the bot know, his father the former player had little to know knowledge of raising kids prior to getting him. Details. Unneeded details.

Deimos took the information to heart, deciding that he was going to need to overcome his fears of being sucked up by the vacuum for at least a time so that he could make sure that his room was super clean to keep the bed bug invasion at bay. He gave a little nod to himself before he gave Vance a smile, "Well I will have to do my best to keep my room to keep them out of my room as well." He said with a smile, glad that he'd gotten a heads up about the dangerous bed bugs that were roving around looking for a room to invade. He didn't like the idea that they were out there and he didn't like having to know that they were out there but at least he new the secret needed to keep them from attacking which was a plus, "Than you for the warning."

Vance brightened up considerably when he was thanked, grinning ear to ear. Boy! It seemed like he was a very good teacher for this older boy! The toddler puffed up some more, with a cocky little smirk on his lips. "You are very welcome!" He said in a manner he thought would be very 'grown up'. Apparently he had heard someone else say that somewhere.
Room cleaning was a pain though. Vance still didn't like it. Maybe when he was bigger he could just beat up any bed bugs that came close.
"Oh! When I get big, I'll beat up the bed bugs for you! Then we don't have to clean our rooms ever!" It sounded awesome to him! He could live in squaller!
Yay?

Deimos couldn't help but to give a little chuckle at that, "I would appreciate that very much if you came to beat up any of them that try to break into my room." He told Vance in a happy manner, glad that there was someone who would deal with something as scary sounding as bed bugs in his stead. Last thing that the teen wanted to do was getting in a fight with anyone let alone one with Insect Invaders.
He wasn't sure that he would stop cleaning his room as he was sure that leaving it a mess would call in all sorts of other scary things like when the ants had tried to take over the kitchen because food had been left out. He didn't want an army of those in his room either but he wouldn't ruin Vance's happiness by mentioning that out loud, instead he just smiled. If Vance was happy then Deimos was happy even if the idea Vance was happy about wasn't one he agreed with completely.

"Awesome!" Vance exclaimed, looking mighty proud of himself, eager to battle! Oh, he would have to practice! The little toddler got to his feet, dusting off his pajamas. He looked up to the older boy with a big grin on his face.
"I'm gonna train! Then I can beat'em up good! I gotta be prepared!" He said knowingly to the older boy. If he was gonna be a big boy one day, he'd have to train to protect people. That's what a man had to do! He moved around a bit as if he was attemtping to warm up. "In TV shows heroes always carry heavy stuff. They got muscles!" How did they do that anyway?
"Just you wait, Deimos! I'ma be big and strong for you!" Not just him either. He had to be big and strong so he could be an awesome soldier for King Levi.

Deimos couldn't help but to find the boy's excitement to be far to cute, if only he could be that brave he found himself thinking before he pushed the thought aside, "I hope that your training goes very well." He said, giving a smile, "And I look forward to seeing the results of it."
As he said those words Gigantes pushed up to his feet, stretching out all over, then jumped over to land on his perch that was Deimos's shoulders before giving a somewhat pathetic mewling sound that said 'I'm hungry' to the teenager. Something that caused Deimos to give a little chuckle, "Alright, alright. Its time for me to get going so that I can get Gigan his lunch. We need to talk again sometime soon, Vance, its been fun." He told the boy he was talking with.
"Next time we meet you will have to show me how strong your training has made you." He said in an encouraging manner, while Deimos wasn't strong or brave himself he would certainly encourage others to be so themselves.

Vance grinned and nodded his head eagerly. "I will! I'll find you and save you from trouble!" Vance said proudly. The toddler waved to his friends and ran inside. He needed to ask his dad to help him train! And lunch was required!
How the child would go about finding the teen again was not the issue. It wasn't something that would cross the boy's mind until the time came about.

Deimos watched the boy go and was glad to see that he had gotten down off the fence without any problem before he turned to head off with Gigan perching on his shoulder, "He was very nice." He told his cat, glad to have gotten to meet the boy though now he had yet another thing to worry about... he really had to get home and set to work cleaning his room he thought to himself, quickening his steps a bit. Best that he got there to clean before the bed bugs got there to try to invade.
