Flashing lights filled the room, giving color to the beats and sounds that seemed to be coming from inside of her head. She could feel the music in her body, but clearer than the neon lights and flashing lasers, Mai could see the heat of the bodies dancing around her. Humans moved around the room, swaying and twisting their limbs while making hand-held lights dance with them.

The city life was rather boring, for a woman like Amaiya Sai, but the nightlife was filled with adventure and excitement. Every so often, her eyes would catch a glimpse of a body whose blood was as cold as hers. Grey eyes met for a moment, both pairs flashing golden yellow in response to one another. She was never alone on this planet.

The slender woman walked through the crowd, shoving fragile bodies aside roughly as they bumped into her. People laughed in drugged euphoria at the feel of the ground on their faces, the taste of blood running down their cheeks, and the wonderful sense of touch when another warm body lifted them back to their feet again. As if the humans weren't dumb enough already, they took substances to further retard themselves. It was like a jungle of babbling apes, all drunk and moving about as though they had no sense of direction.

Mai moved with purpose, though. It was another thing that set her people apart in this place. Those in the room whose blood was cold, they wouldn't even be effected by the human's drugs. Even those who didn't know they were different would know something was wrong with them when they took that pill and nothing happened.

White hair seeming to change colors with every flash of a light, Mai's path led her up a flight of stairs where she could see the whole room. And to think, these people would all be dead soon. Taking one last look at the worms squirming about the floor, Mai turned around and opened a black door.

Inside, there was no sound. It was nearly silent, save for the floor shaking slightly with the bass from the music outside. A man sat there, his arms flat at his side with a half-naked human clinging to each bicep. With a snap of his finger, the two stood and moved toward the door. The women each gave Amaiya a dirty look, which was met with a sharp-toothed smile and her eyes turning gold. Their faces went blank for a moment before they hurried out the door, and Mai was left alone with the man in the black tux.

"Miss Sai, how nice of you to come. Everything is ready, I presume?" the man asked in a feigned tone of dignity. How he could respect himself when betraying his own race, Mai could never understand. Humans were pathetic.

"Everything would be, if you weren't here," she growled irritably, toothy smile becoming replaced by an ugly scowl. "You were supposed to be gone an hour ago. I might still need you, but your usefulness is measured by how dependable you are. If you aren't dependable, then you are expendable, and the next time I'll have you wiped out with the rest of them, do you understand?"

"No need to get feisty, sugar. Here, take one of these, it'll make you feel better," he said, holding out a little pink pill.

"Save it for your whores, Gordon. You have five minutes to get yourself out of here, or you become a number in another covered up case-file."

Turning to leave, Mai stopped and added without looking back at him, "Oh by the way, the one on your right was human. Just thought you should know."

With that she left the room and headed back out into the noise and flashing lights. Time to get to work. Sharp teeth glistened as she smiled again. This was going to be fun.

User Image Jack walked calmly down the dark streets, his jacket flowing in the slight breeze. His hands were in his pockets, his green eyes observing everything. This wasn't the best part of town, for many reasons. He stopped as he reached a street corner, looked both ways, then continued his walk.

The two pistols had their familiar feel within his jacket, concealed from public view. They were loaded with armor piercing bullets. One of the only things that might stand a chance at protecting him against the true horrors of the world. The knife had its familiar lump in his right boot as well.

Jack walked on for a little bit longer before reaching his destination. A bar, with one of the newer clubs banging and bouncing across the street. A pang of fear shot through him, followed by a chill down his spine. There was never a clear sign of what was worse in that place. Jack shook his head and walked in to the bar.

It was a small bar, with only seven seats at the bar itself, and only four tables in it. There was a jute box in the corner, and one pool table across from it. There was also a back exit into the alley for the bartender to throw out the drunkards. As usual the club flunkies almost filled the place. One standing out with a spiked Mohawk dyed bright green. He seemed to be going on some large rant on why he should have been let in. Jack couldn't blame him on the dyed hair though, having done it recently himself. He got red highlight trying to change his look. A government hit man didn't really need to change his look as much as a regular one, considering Jack had more than himself to help cover his tracks.

All the tables were full with the flunkies, so Jack walked over to the bar and took the center seat. The bartender made his way behind the bar, picked up a glass and began to clean it before walked over to Jack. The bartender met Jack's eyes but said nothing, his eyes implying for Jack to make his order. "Give me the largest glass of the strongest stuff you got." The Bartender nodded and set to work.

While the man got his drink, Jack leaned forward to rest both of his elbows on the bar, his green eyes looking down at the table. He stayed this way until the bartender placed a brown bottle before him. Jack reached into his pants pocket, pulled out a fifty dollar bill. He slapped in on the table, "Keep filling me up 'till this is gone." The bartender grunted, then went back to working on the flunkies orders.

Jack lifted the bottle to his lips and took his first long gulp of the stuff. The burn made it's way down his throat and through his body. It had a sweet flavor, with an overlaying feel of the bitter alcohol, served warm. The bartender must have made his own stuff, and it was good. He took a second gulp, with a similar sensation, before bring the bottle back down to the bar. His head turned towards the heavily pounding bass of the club next door. Hardly anyone else knew what was really going on in there. The others that knew were either profiting too much from it, or too cowardly to do anything about it. A small sinister smile came upon his face. I guess I'm part of the second group. The bottle found its way back to his lips for a third gulp.

"Another late night at work," she sighed, knowing that it would only lead to showing up late the next morning, or not sleeping at all that night. Oh well, such was life. It wasn't like she needed it, anyway. It was one of the few things that helped her feel like she was still human. At heart, she was, very much so, but staying this way for so many decades had made it obvious to her alone that she most certainly was not.

Lily Andrews, Ace Reporter. What a joke. All she reported on were lies, anyway. It had been her original intention to write about the truth, to put the actual facts out there for everyone to see, and to reveal that the humans were not the only ones here. Well that plan went right into the trash when she realized how bazaar that would have been. Really, who would believe it? And did she really need to draw that kind of attention to herself? The government already knew who she was, and every person she had been before. So, that was enough for her.

Walking the street, Lily checked behind herself every so often. There were always creeps roaming the city at this time of night, and Lily didn't want to be caught off guard. Human or not, she wasn't anything special when it came to combat. Even worse, if one of her kind was the stalker, the gun tucked in the back of her pants would be useless against them.

The day before, she had been on a crime scene, investigating some new terrorist group that had been screwing things up all over the country. Apparently, they had come here, and had made their first attack the night before. The details on it were shaky, and Lily knew she would have to find out more to know what really happened. Word was that a bomb went off, killing hundreds at a local hotel. But, from what Lily could see, there was no sign of an explosion at all, not even the lingering heat she would have expected to see had something like that happened. Another cover up, and that was how it was going to go in her report, but in her mind she needed all of the real answers. Something like this wouldn't be covered up if there wasn't some reason for it, and Lily was sure it had to do with those people.

She walked past a bar and a loud club on her way to the yellow-taped building. Risk was her middle name, it seemed, since she knew for sure that she would be in deep trouble if she was caught doing this. Still, it had to be done, and she could see easily that there were no people around or inside of the hotel right now. Good, then it should be an easy in and out, hopefully.

Lockpicks in hand, Lily headed to a side entrance and began working at the lock. It took her only a minute before she heard the click, and opened the door to let herself in, closing and locking it behind herself.

Mai could see the bodies of those colder than the humans as they moved toward the doors. Some of them leaving, while others stood their places there. The bouncers tonight were all Grekkens, and they blocked the exits as the humans unwittingly bounced about to their music. All at once, the room began to fill with a thick smoke. Amaiya smiled, and headed toward the front doors. People shouted and cheered for the smoke, as the lights caught it making the air around the resident druggies seem to change color.

When she got to the front doors, the two large men there flashed their golden eyes at her with sharp-toothed smiles as they opened the doors to let her outside. She wasn't going to be in there tonight. There were more important things to do. Walking to the bar across the street, Amaiya opened the doors. The bartender nodded to her, and Mai smiled and winked playfully at him. Across the room, she saw Gordon, the man who had helped her to set up this whole thing, sitting at a table in the back of the bar. Really, she could have easily done it without him, but her orders were to lay low on this planet still, and so she did.

"My dear, I am so sorry to have kept you waiting," she said in a gentle voice. This was how they talked when there were others around. While it pained Mai to be so sweet with anyone, especially this worm, it was what she had to do for now.

Gordon returned with a warm smile, "It's no trouble at all, really. Come, have a sit. I'll order us a drink."

She could tell by his slur and wording that he was already sloshed. Good, that would make this much easier. "Actually, I was hoping we could, maybe, go back to your room for drinks?" she asked with a wink.

Gordon wiggled in his seat excitedly, obviously so intoxicated that he didn't realize how dangerous an idea that was. No, he was most certainly thinking with a different part of his body than his brain, which was exactly what Mai was hoping for. "Most definitely," he said, very seriously as though it was what he had been hoping she would ask him since the day they first met. Disgusting.

Still smiling playfully, Mai grabbed his hand and swayed back and forth a little, teasingly, as Gordon quickly got to his feet and stumbled toward the door with Amaiya in tow. "Put dat stuff on my tab," he shouted behind himself without even looking back at the bartender. Mai, on the other hand, flashed a knowing smile at him, and the corner of the barkeeps mouth went up in a little smile. "A feisty one, that one," he said in his gruff voice as Mai left the building with the slimy worm of a human.

Gordon was dumb enough to want to drive, and Amaiya was sure enough of her strength that she even let him. Besides, if they crashed, it would make her job much easier. Much to her disappointment, though, they made it back to the man's house just outside of the city with little trouble at all. The man must have had a lot of experience driving drunk, she thought to herself.

By now, she had tossed away the flirtatious facade, but was still being far more friendly than she normally would be. "My wife is home, so we'll have to be quiet," he said, which Mai responded to with a simple, "I've done this enough times to know how to keep quiet. And I can promise that you won't make a sound." Gordon just laughed at the idea of what he expected them to be doing, while Mai's mouth watered with the idea of what she knew was going to happen.

As soon as they got to his guest room to avoid his wife, Gordon rushed to the bathroom and began stripping off his clothes anxiously and excitedly. Mai closed the shades in the room, and turned off the lights. She knew how to cover up what was going on.

She waited until he was completely naked, standing behind him as her body changed and she took on her natural form. Long claws formed at her fingertips, and before Gordon could turn around to face her, she slit his throat from behind. Vocal chords severed, he made not a sound as his blood pooled all over the tiled bathroom floor. "Told you it would be quiet," she said, the sound seeming to come from multiple sets of vocal chords all at once.

Now to clean up the mess. Her long tongue licked her scaled lips before her jaws opened wide to devour her prey. When she was done, there would be no blood and no body, and she would take his clothes and burn them. In the morning, Gordon would be just another missing person, and that would be that.

User ImageThe first floor was nothing special. She hadn't gotten past the lobby earlier, so she wasn't too surprised not to find anything on this floor at all. Besides, the rooms were all above this floor. Kitchen, lobby, offices, nothing too interesting.

Lily took the stairs up to the second floor. As soon as she got between the first and second floor, a rancid stench filled her nostrils. "Ugh," she said, covering her highly sensitive nose from the smell. It was something like smoke and rotting bodies. But, there shouldn't have been any bodies up here at all. Hurrying her pace, Lily rushed to the second floor. She opened the first room, 101.

Her eyes went wide, and her hand dropped from her hose. "Oh God," she said, silently praying to herself for the souls of the poor creatures. There were still bodies here, or what was left of them anyway. A thick green coating of something covered them, and she assumed that was where the smell had come from. Two people lay on the floor, though what gender she couldn't tell at all. Defintely humans, though. Their bodies seemed to have rotted in the ten or so hours they had been here.

A biological weapon, maybe? But that would have to come from the government, Lily assumed. She didn't know everything, but it had become obvious to her that the government was working with her people. Even though some of them were nice people, like those that were helping her to stay on this planet, she was certain that there were those who were not necessarily good people.

Or, maybe this really was just another terrorist attack. She wanted to find out.

Room after room, it was the same thing, and she found nothing else that could tell her anything. Starting to feel sick to her stomach, Lily left the building with a heavy heart and so many questions running through her head that she didn't even know where to start.

Outside, the night brought clean fresh air, and Lily breathed in relief. She began walking back the way she had come, past the loud music. Her mind was so wrapped up in the horrors and possibilities of the hotel, that she didn't even notice the club as she approached it. Not until she smelled that same rancid odor. Smoke, and death. Her eyes went wide as she looked at the building to her right. "Oh no," she said to herself, rushing to the doors. A bouncer there stopped her with one hand, and she could tell from the heat of his body that he was one of them. The man looked at her angrily and with question in his eyes, and Lily had to think quick. "I know, I'm late. Can you let me in?" she said, hoping that would work.

"Ya, hurry up and get in position," he growled irritably before opening the door to let her in. He closed it immediately behind her, but Lily hardly noticed. SHe gasped at the sight inside the building. People dancing, all surrounded by thick smoke that looked like it was changing colors. She couldn't just let the same thing happen that they did to the hotel. She had to stop it, but how?

User Image Jack had brought his head back to facing forward after finishing the bottle. For a few moments he just sat there with the empty bottle in his hand. The bartender noticed, gave him a new bottle, then went back about his business. Jack drank this one slower, with more pace than the first one.

He hadn't been drinking for too long when the doors opened. A familiar chill ran up, then down his spine. The same one he had gotten looking at the club across the street, only this time it was in this room. Jack's shoulders instinctively tensed as the body passed. The foot steps were light, with purpose. Probably a female body. She spoke in almost heavenly tones, the voice calling back more gruff, drunken sounding.

She was luring her prey. Stand up! Do something! Part of him screamed to end this terror. The more sensible part told him to lay low. Stay down. He'll live longer. The indecision reigned as the man yelled back out the door, the female body in tow. Moments later a car started up and drove away. Only minutes after they had left did the sensation of fear die down, and his shoulders relax.

Anger flashed through him. Jack was a hit man. He shouldn't be afraid. Not even of them. "Dammit!" His voice became a vibrant yell and silence the whole room. The hand lifted its half full bottle and slammed it on the table, glass shattering every which way. The alcohol slowly slid down the bar, now mixed with the blood from his hand. Jack sighed, reached into his pocket with his not bloodied hand, pulled out a hundred dollar bill, slapped it on the table as he had with the fifty, and walked out of the bar. A large sigh escaped his mouth as it looked like he was doomed to wander the streets with out sleep again this night, the blood slowly dripping out of his hand leaving a temporary trail.

Haiden's bodiless form looked out over the desolate land. He had been here so long, he had almost forgotten what it was like to be happy. This place was miserable. Even though he couldn't feel the heat, he could see the death and despair all around him. At least the humans had something beautiful for him to look at, mountains and water and living things everywhere. Even the creatures who lived here looked like nothing more than rocks to him, their hard skin so unlike the soft flesh of a human body.

Jealousy was Haiden's biggest sin. It was what had gotten him kicked out of Heaven, wishing that he could be something that he wasn't and somewhere that he wasn't. He had fought alongside Lucifer just to prove that he was worth something, and to be able to say that he helped to bring down the almighty one. If he could take back any of that, what he wouldn't give to be back home, singing and serving like he was meant to. All hope was gone for that, though. Haiden was going to make his own home.

Behind him, in the middle of a flat piece of land, the Fah'Rang stood ready to take their orders. They were all anxious to go, to have bodies again, and to take from the humans what was rightfully deserved by them. Haiden and the others had given an eternity in nothing but service, and they had lost it all in a day. Since then, they had prayed and asked to be forgiven, but once they had sinned there was no hope of going back to Heaven. God would forgive the humans, his special favorites, but never these men. If the humans could be allowed into Heaven, then the Fah'Rang were going to take Earth. Grek was no longer their planet, ever since the Nephilim. The demons had become nothing more than pests amongst those with bodies, and they had nothing to take from any of them.

"Not yet," Haiden said softly to himself, and the figures behind him moved away. They weren't ready, yet. He knew that there were others on Earth already causing trouble. He would have to plan his attack carefully, so that they wouldn't have to try it again. If the others interfered with his plans, the Fah'Rang might fail, and that was unacceptable. It had to be done right, and the first time. Those Grekkens would definitely get in his way, make things difficult.

Ryven Diazen IV
The Earth Wielder

---------------------
"I suggest you step aside."
---------------------

"Why should we give you passage through our land, Earth Wielder?!" The Chieftain of another tribe hollered across the open plain, stamping the butt of his spear into the packed dirt near his feet. Behind him stood the warriors of his tribe, males and females alike, most bearing similar spears and some with shields, others with swords and a few with heavier axes. Their numbers were only slightly less then his own tribe who hadn't yet formed their weapons. Ryven wanted to end this as peacefully as he could, and since the other Grekkens they stood against couldn't materialize their weapons like his own tribe, he didn't take their arms as a sign of hostility.

"We not here to fight for your land!" Ryven's voice returned across the plain, after a moment of thought. "I only ask that you let us through! We've traveled hundreds of leagues, and have hundreds more to go! Grant us passage, Wind Waker!" Ryven stood unwavering, his stern eyes locked onto the other Chieftain's across the way, who visually corrected his stance to match his own. His tail twitched and swayed behind him as a breeze rolled through the plain, kicking up a mask of dust hurling towards him. Ryven closed his eyes until it passed.

"What do you search for, Earth Wielder?!" The Chieftain called out, even though he already knew the answer. He could feel it, much like Ryven had felt it days ago. The dark spirits had gathered, and their combined strength could be felt through the entire planet of Grek.

"We search for the dark ghosts of our world, who now gather like never before!" Was Ryven's simple answer. What the Wind Waker Chief didn't need to know was that Ryven was curious to know what it was that brought them together in such force to be felt from nearly six hundred leagues away. They had something planned, and if it had to do with this planet, Ryven wanted to be the first to defend his home.

There was a long pause. He watched as a few of the Wind warriors spoke to their Chief, who nodded or shook his head as they exchanged words. Minutes flashed by like seconds in the silence of another breeze, until the Chieftain spoke again. "I will allow you passage, Earth Wielder, with one condition! You take ten of my warriors with you to where the dark ghosts gather, who will return to my tribe once they've seen what it is you search for!"

Without a second's hesitation, Ryven called out. "Then choose your ten warriors and present them to me!"

Ryven began to walk forward, and watched the opposing Chieftain turn to his tribe, ten strong Grekkens stepping away from the rest of the tribe and towards their Chief. The Chief gave them condolences as the Earth Wielders approached, and spun around to face Ryven as he closed the few feet left between them.

"These are the warriors I choose, Earth Wielder. They've proven themselves to me." The Chieftain spoke, still carrying himself with a steady composure. Ryven looked from one warrior to the next, then to the Chieftain. He wasn't too concerned about them.

"Then I welcome them, Wind Waker. We will treat them like one of our own." Ryven slapped a closed fist against his broad chest, and bowed his head to the Wind Chief for a brief moment.

"I wouldn't expect anything less, Earth Wielder." The Chieftain said, repeating Ryven's quick bow. Slowly, the Wind Waker tribe separated down the center, and the ten warriors joined the rest of his tribe, almost disappearing amongst the crowd except for the weapons they still bore.

Without another word, the Wind Waker Chief stepped away from Ryven, and he moved forward, the rest of his tribe silently following without question.

As soon as her belly was fed, and the mess cleaned up, Amaiya gathered Gordon's clothing and returned to her human form save for a pair of small wings that sprouted from her back. Opening the window silently, she searched around for any warm bodies. Finding none, She jumped from the third story window, dragon-like wings catching the air and sending her gliding gently down to the ground. As soon as her feet touched down, the wings disappeared into her back, and she headed toward Gordon's car.

Taking the keys out of the pocket of the pants she carried in her arms, Amaiya opened the car and got inside. Thankfully, the newer technology made starting cars nearly silent, and she didn't have to worry at all about being heard as she quickly drove away back in the direction of the club. "Badrah pet," she said to herself with a smile in her native tongue. As she drove, she removed a small cellular phone from her blouse and pressed a single button.

The phone rang a few times, a gruff voice on the other end responding, "Fors?"

"Du lammanees tes ettil. Pet Gordon tes lusch," she replied with a chuckle, licking her lips for a few drops of blood that still rested there.

"Good. Get back to work, lanna," the man's voice replied before hanging up the phone.

Driving the car to a bridge nearby, Mai picked up speed. Behind her, she could see the blue and red lights of a human law enforcement vehicle, but she had no intention of stopping. The car was gaining on her, but she was so close to the water now that there would be no point in playing nice. The officer shouted something through a megaphone, but Mai just laughed. "Sorry, scum, but I've already eaten tonight."

Mai's body began to shift again as the bridge over the river drew closer. The car behind her squeeled to a stop as Mai drove Gordon's car straight off of the bridge and into the water. It wouldn't take long before the whole car was full of water, but Mai dug her long razor-like claws into the roof of the vehicle. Water leaked in, but she didn't mind. It wasn't like she had to breathe anyway. Using her strength, the lizard-woman tore open a gaping hole in the roof of the car and pushed herself through it as the water rushed in.

Golden eyes watched as the vehicle sunk down, farther and farther until she couldn't see it anymore. Above, red and blue lights filled the surface of the water. It wouldn't be long before they had a crew out here looking for the car. How interesting it would be to find out what the news had to say about it the next day.

Staying underwater, Mai wasn't willing to risk surfacing. She swam upstream quickly, glancing up every so often just in case she had been spotted. She was sure she was fine, and it was almost no time at all before the flashing lights couldn't be seen anymore. Still, she continued swimming, headed back toward the Club. She had unfinished business there, and it was just about time to finish the job.

Climbing out of the water a few blocks behind the site of the club, Mai shook her body off as it quickly changed back to her human form. Her clothes and hair were soaking wet, but she wasn't really concerned. She was already going to be in trouble for the Gordon incident, and most definitely for the car, so it wasn't too much of a big deal in her mind to have more trouble this way. Dripping water, she walked the rest of the way to the club.

When she got there, she ordered the man at the door to get the others out. Putting word into his walky-talky, it was only moments before a crowd of normal-looking people (or as normal as one could expect walking out of that place) came out, and dispersed throughout the street. Most of them headed toward the parking garage, to get in their cars and leave.

"That red-head girl hasn't come back out," the man said, suspicion ringing in his voice. Mai cocked an eyebrow curiously. What red-head?

"I'll go find her," Mai said, pretending she knew who he was talking about. "She's always a little slow," she added with a wink before heading in the doors.

There were only a few people left in the club whose bodies were as cold as her own. They probably had no idea what they were, and definitely would never find out after tonight. The doors were locked. The only exit now was through the door she had just come in through, and nobody would pass through there now. Some of the bodyguards were still standing their ground at the doors, martyrs for their cause. They would die here with the rest of them, but they already knew that it was their purpose. Their souls would find somewhere else to go, and they could hopefully meet up at another time in life.

Amaiya scanned the scene as she watched the smoke in the room slowly start to change color. Some of the people were already laying on the floor, drugged out companions laughing or crying over them. Only one of the people whose blood was cold had red hair, and Mai spotted her right away. "What would you be doing here?" she asked quietly, speaking more to herself than anything. How curious.

Hurrying up to the girl, Mai grabbed her arm. "You are not going to want to be here in a few minutes. Let's go," she said hurriedly, not wanting to stick around too long as the smoke began to get thicker and more green every moment. Not expecting any argument, Mai pulled the girl by the arm, her grip tight and unrelenting.

"We will be leaving at Earth's next dawn. It will allow us many bodies, and little distraction. Chances are the others will not act tomorrow morning, as my sources tell me their mischief tonight will carry on to the morrow.

"Earth rightfully belongs to us. We have slaved an eternity, and suffered even longer in this forsaken land. We have earned the right to our bodies, and to the carefree life that the humans have so selfishly squandered away on meaningless toils.

Our sins and mistakes of the past will never be forgiven or forgotten. If we do not act, we will spend the rest of existence or longer in this place. Nothing can change for us unless we make it so.

My brothers, this is our chance. War is in the air, and we are not the only ones who can taste its bitter hostility. Let us take advantage of this time, and make for ourselves a better existence, one that will make all of the pains of our past and present worth it. Let us feel again.
"

A loud "FAH'RANG" was shouted from the bodiless lips of thousands of the fallen. Demons, without physical form, but very much filled with spirit and now filled with hope. Haiden smiled, holding up an imaterial hand to bring silence to the crowd. "Now is our time, brothers, to find happiness again. Go and ready yourselves for the coming battle. When the sun rises on Earth, we will take the bodies of thousands of Adam's sons and a new breed of man will reign."

The dark figures scattered, all going in their own directions, swift as though carried by a wind that would never grace this planet. Haiden's plan was genius. If there was no interference from the others, that is, it would be flawless. The Fah'Rang would overpower the souls of thousands of men, then with their bodies cause war upon the planet. If one of their host's bodies died, they would move to another and another, until the humans had killed off so many of themselves that there would be only enough for the Fah'Rang to have their own. Of course, some would have to be captured. Without the humans, the demons could have no bodies, and so they would be made to breed and live for nothing more but breeding and working, so that when a century had passed each Fah'Rang would have a body to move to.

User Image Jack made his way back to the hotel he was staying at for the night. He made it there with no problems. His hand had even stopped bleeding half way there. Not that he was concerned with it. Jack had stared almost exclusively at the ground beneath his feet the whole way there.

Jack had one word on his mind. Coward. It was one thing to call yourself a coward, it was a different subject to have it proven moments later. He walked through the run down hotel's doors, with out looking at the clerk. Jack stopped at the elevator doors, looking up for the first time as the doors opened. The one person inside it stepped past in hurriedly, which allowed Jack to step in.

The music played a slow jingle, but it went unrecognized by the lone inhabitant. The elevator went up the floors. One, two, three, four, all the way up to six. It stopped at the hotels top floor and the doors opened. Jack walked out and began to reach in to his right pocket with his bloodied hand. He felt the scab crack with a small sting of pain as he gripped the key his room.

Jack stopped at his room number, 608, and opened the door. The room was small, one bed, with a small balcony and a bathroom on the left wall. The bathroom door was closed, with some light coming out from underneath. He put the key on the table by the door, then walked to the middle of the room and sat on the bed.

Jack hadn't been sitting for more than a second when the alarm from the alarm clock went off. He stared at the clock. Midnight. It was on the radio setting, the sound of heavy guitars strumming a beat. The lyrics sang in a haunted tune, "Hush little baby, don't say a word, and never mind the noise you heard. It's just the beast under your bed, in your closet, in your head!" Jack's mouth quirked into a crooked smile at the song.

The smile grew into a chuckle. The chuckle grew into a loud, twisted laugh. The laugh continued as the toilet flushed, the sink ran, then the door to the bathroom opened. A man in a black suit, with a black tie, slicked back brown hair, and sunglasses stepped out. "That's a nice laugh you got there Jack. I think I liked the old one better. Didn't make you seem like a homicidal maniac." The man's voice was deep, and showed as little emotion as his face.

The laugh slowly died off after the man's sentence. Jack wiped the tears from his eyes, before he met the other mans sunglasses. "What do you know about sanity? Your only job is to give me files. Now do it and get out." The corner of the suited man's mouth went up in a momentary smile, then back to normal.

"I think you're gonna have fun with this one. She's been giving us trouble before our grandparents were even thoughts." The suit walked over to the table. He reached into his coat pocket to pull out a file, then put it on the table. The suit said nothing as he continued out the door. As the door shut behind him, the song had ended, and the alarm stopped. Jack sat alone in the room, he stared the files down in silence.

Lily's head was practically spinning in this place. There were so many people, and so many smells, and even stranger the fact that there were hardly any of the cold-blooded ones here at all. For some reason, that fact in and of itself creeped her out, yet somehow she had expected it. Would this stuff kill them too, she wondered?

Lily didn't know what it was she was looking for, but she knew she had to find something. Frantically, she started grabbing people, telling them to hurry, to get out as fast as they could, that they were in danger. Most laughed at her, a few people shoved her away, but all of them ignored her.

"You've got to leave, or you're all going to die," she said to a man as she grabbed his arm. The man turned around with an ugly scowl on his face. "Shut up, tweeker," he snapped. The look on his face caused Lily to back up. Her eyebrow creased in irritation. These people were just going to let themselves get killed.

Just then, she felt something on her arm. Whipping around, Lily turned to see a woman who seemed very intent on getting her out of there. Lily was about to protest, when she realized that the woman obviously knew what was going to happen here. Since she couldn't find any way to stop it on her own, Lily followed the woman. Not like she had any choice, anyway. It was obvious that she was a cold-blooded one, and the grip on Lily's arm was so tight it actually hurt. She wasn't going to complain though.

Following the woman outside, Lily fought with herself on the inside. She was leaving all of those people to die...even if they didn't want to be saved, they had no idea what was coming. Even if she got answers here, would she be able to make it back in time to save them?

Probably not, but she knew that if she got enough information this time, she would be able to do something next time, since they were obviously going to do this again. Hopefully...she would have to find out.

((Karma: I wasn't sure what you have planned or what, so I'll just go with you on this one? Or you can PM me again and we'll talk some more on it.))

User Image Jack had stared at the files for around ten minutes before he got up to wash his bloody hand. After he pulled out some small shards of glass, then rewashed the hand, he walked over to his one and only bag. There were bandages inside that he used to wrap his hand. By the time that was done it was around 12:30.

Jack finally moved to the desk, grabbed the manila folder, then sat back down on the bed. He opened them to see a picture of a woman on an extremely thin iPad. It showed a very good looking female, with blue ((Can't really tell the color. sad )) eyes, and white hair. He tapped the iPad, and a recording started. Her voice came through the speakers, a familiar heavenly voice spoke words. Once the voice had come out of the speakers, he stopped listening, as the powerful chill ran through his body. Moments after the cruel laugh barked through his throat.

Jack's new target had been in the bar he had been in that night. She had probably killed someone already tonight, and he had just let her walk away. Once the laughter died down he moved the iPad out of the way to look at the papers. She was a jack of all trades, and she'd caused havoc before recorded time.

Underneath all the typed papers, with some small bits of her recorded past, there was a hand written note. Than handwriting was neat, and the writer had obviously taken the time to make the writing neat. Jack read the note, a gruff curt voice playing in his head as he read.

Dear Jack, I know that we never have any Grek's with this much age and experience taken out, but she been getting on our nerves recently. She may take you out, but don't worry we got a replacement for you. He wont be as good as you, but not even your mentor was as good as you are now. We're putting our faith in you. If you kill her and make it out alive you can officially retire. By retire, I mean you'd still get paid, but not have to go on anymore jobs. Good luck, Jack.
Signed, Director Lazard.

Jack sighed as he read the note. If he completed the job, he'd be set for life. It wouldn't be a happy one, but it'd be better than what he was doing now. Jack took the note and put it in his bag, then ripped the corner of one of the type sheets. Jack took the pen off the table and scrawled the name of what could be his last target down. He folded the paper and stuck it in his pocket.

Jack laid back down on the bed and closed his eyes. This target, was the target of a life time. He probably wasn't going to make it out alive. She might not even feel a scratch. The targets name was the last thing that ran through his head before he fell asleep. Amaiya Sai.

[]@Strifer: They are SUPPOSED to be gray, but they kinda do look blue, and I was too lazy to photoshop 'em.
@Blind: Message Sent. And you're good. Not much you could have said to her anyway. She's in a bit of a hurry, heh.[]

She wasn't at all surprised when the woman went along with her. Oh how fun it would have been to use force, but that could have messed things up a little for her. Not like things were going perfectly smoothly so far tonight anyway, but smoothly enough that it would all turn out how she wanted in the end. Still, she would have to answer for her "mistakes" when she got back to Grek. Amaiya almost never made mistakes, but nobody had to know that. Besides, everything she did was done in favors. She either owed someone, or she wanted them to owe her. In the case of Gordon, it was the former. However, now that the debt was paid, she could get to finishing this job. Oh, the humans were going to owe her big time for this one.

Pulling the woman out into the streets, she laughed a little, winking at the doorman as they passed. He shifted and nodded to her before closing the doors. From only a few feet away, she could hear a bolt on the inside going down. Nobody was leaving that building, or getting in, now.

Once the two had made it to the parking garage, Mai's smile turned less playful and more devious. One side of her mouth curled up in a sharp-toothed grin, while her eyebrow on the same side lifted slightly. "Warning the humans? Tsktsk, and here I thought I was doing myself a favor by saving you. You know, you owe me now. Five minutes more in that place, and you would have been dead," she said, holding up her hand. Continuing her overly-dramatized theatrics, Mai turned to face the opposite direction. She was hardly concerned that this woman would leave. If she intended to, she would have already.

"You're lucky I'm nice. I could have easily just left you there, and let you find out what is really going on in that building all on your own. Of course, you never would have gotten the chance to say anything about it. Who did you think you were helping anyway? You're out there fighting for the wrong side, without even finding out all of the facts beforehand. I mean, really, what did you think you could have possibly gained by betraying your race? You're only going to be pissing off the wrong people, my dear." Amaiya turned around to face her again, eyes turning a deep golden yellow as she did. A thin black slit, like the eyes of a lizard, went down the center of them as they blinked from the side and then the top. "And by the wrong people, of course, I mean me."

She stopped talking then, finally. Mai had a way of drawing things out, trying to get a feel for people, or trying to intimidate them. In this case, it was a little of both, but mostly the latter. This girl was anything but a threat, but Mai was so terribly curious about her. Obviously, the doorman had been tricked by her somehow, which meant that she knew something was going on inside. Mai wanted to know what she knew, how she had found out, and why she even cared. Even more so, though, she wanted the girl to change sides...and was determined to use every trick in the book to make sure that she did.

"The truth will set you free."

It was the time of reckoning yet again. By this time, reckoning on Earth became the norm. Humans died quickly and quietly, and almost none knew the truth. Parliament knew everything, but took hardly any incentive on stopping it soon. They were afraid of the panic on the streets, or perhaps the bad guys were waiting for the humans to understand before starting their onslaught.

Heaven however, had it's own plans. The army of God was rich with new recruits and seasoned officers. Micheal knew what he was doing, and Al was always there to make sure everything got done.

"They're going to take out another club. Uriel saw it happen already. He'll be back soon with the full report." Al told Micheal, of whom was fully aware of the situation. They were atop one of the highest clouds in Heaven, a single golden path leading to it, and nothing but a telescope atop it. "Al, you've known me all this time, but you still refuse to understand that I know everything that's happening on Earth." Micheal said to Al, with all of the lightheartedness he could put into it. "And you always choose to think I don't understand. I'm Prime Guardian, and I do my job." He argued back to Micheal. He shot him a devious smile, but Micheal knew Al enough to understand his intentions. "Intervening at this time-"; "Is starting to become our only option. Listen, Micheal, you're my best friend, why don't you trust me?"

"It is not I that makes the decisions around here, you know that." Micheal ended the conversation with that as he stared at Al with concerned eyes. "It's my job to protect heaven first, it's your job to protect the Earth." And with that, Micheal stretched out his wings and flew to the Archangel's keep. "...Then I'm going to protect it." Al said to himself, and if Micheal wanted to hear that, he could, but most likely chose not to.

"Alright Amaiya, it's about time we've begun to end this once and for all." He said as he looked through the telescope with a curious eye. "Damn you, He thought as he noticed she was with someone else. "Lily Andrews, a Grekken of the age of ninety-five. Oh Amaiya, you wouldn't dare hurt that little girl. Oh wait, you're Lucifer's daughter, I forgot." Al satirically relayed through his spiritual mind.

"Sir, Ryven's numbers just grew by ten, they are getting help from other tribes, it seems." A guardian scout told Al as he looked through the telescope. Al's head moved up, his eye leaving the lens to stare of into the beauty that lie beneath him. "Very good. Keep watching him. Once he gets to where he is going, we'll help him as much as we can. It is very important he stays alive, in his own body." Al ordered the scout. The scout saluted, and departed.
