I enjoyed it but pretty much guested most of the twists.

I think this might just have been a covert nosethumb to RTD. Moffat's taken all the villains he resurrected or created and completely wiped their credibility off the map with the ridiculous alliance nonsense. So now we'll only ever look at these aliens as the guys who were so ineffectual they had to team up to fight the doctor. And even then they were so rubbish at their jobs they couldn't even kill him properly.

I'm guessing we won't be seeing a lot of these guys threatening the Whoniverse again, anytime soon.

Oh, and while I'm here I better rant. WTF were they all doing turning up in 210 AD or whenever this was? The doctor didn't even meet half these creatures till the tail-end of the twentieth century. They shouldn't even be aware he EXISTS at this point in time. Unless they can all, you know, time travel now. Or maybe the daleks just did all the time travelling, and came sobbing about how big a bully the doctor is and how they should all join their new super bestfriends club.

Next week better be something bloody special or I think I'll be filing this series as an overall miss.

Ok, so the allegiance of evil was very comic book, but I think they puled it off quite well. I was sort of thinking that it was ridiculous, but no where near the same level as the s4 finale. This was more entertaining than not.

I dont know, ending series 4 with Davros coming back to throw up an Exterminate to the entire face of reality... and Doctor 10H deciding to do what 9 and 10 wanted to do but really couldnt... commit mass genocide and hopefully wipe out every Dalek in current existence.... Its not really ridiculous... what IS ridiculous?? the Mighty Morphin Power Daleks... now that was serious ridiculousness on a fanfic scale... 11's stories were nice quiet one shots with no real universe in peril storylines... but Ive only seen up to The Lodger... but hearing all of the villains banding together... sounds cheesy and sort of desperate for action...

Kinda making me really miss 10... =.=

Just remember this : like RTD, Moffatt is a sneaky conniving bastich of a writer ( think Blink, Silence in the Library, etc). I have a VERY funny feeling that all is not quite as it seems....

SPOILER:
I have it on pretty good authority that either 8 or a previous Companion shows up next season along with at least one Time Lord baddie...and the the Time War didn't quite go as told....

Just my two cents, peeps

OH!! Well that would be cool

@river((Highlight... maybe spoilers?)): If another timelord baddie shows up, it better be the Rani... I swear if they try to bring the master back this soon I might shoot myself

As Strange As It Sounds

I don't mean the Bad Wolf Bay scene, or Davros, I mean the banding together of all the companions. TPO is similar, but with "baddies" rather than "goodies", but I think that they managed to make a cheesy idea work in TPO, mainly because it actually has a plot, and all the villains is one room only takes up one scene at the end, instead of in the s4 finale when the idea was dragged out throughout the entire episode. Although I guess I have to wait until Saturday to be the judge of that.

I'm glad Nichelle said it first.

But seriously, that ending was all sorts of depressing. Even the Master mopping the floor with the doctor at the end of The Sound of Drums wasn't as grim as this one. It doesn't help much that Matt Smith looks all of twelve years old, either.

Anyone here seen Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog?

Alliance = Evil League of Evil.
Y/Y

Hilarious and intimidating-looking but really did nothing for the whole story (yanno, except locking certain people up).

The second part makes EVERYTHING make sense, and it's very well done. 3nodding

Just watched the new episode, and OMG I have to ask if anyone else noticed ΘΣ (Greek for 'Theta Sigma') characters about four minutes in under "Hello sweetie"? I spazzed hard, but I don't know what the other characters said...

For those who don't know Theta Sigma was the name The Doctor used in Prydon Academy.
