His paws shifted slightly as the Alpha spoke once more, not that he was nervous or feared the wolf but more out of shame of admitting the failings of his birth pack. "Yes sir. Well I left my birth pack some time ago, they were...horribly lazy and that life did not suit me." He hated knowing that those wolves did nothing but sit around and sleep and found hunting to be bothersome because it interrupted their laziness. "I took to traveling to find a pack that better suited what I was looking for. Over the years I have been in many packs and learned many things however none of them seemed the right fit for me." His eyes ticked to Chantily for a moment as she watched him and the Alpha speak, then his gaze returned to Fantasia. "That was until I heard of your pack."

Dagonet lifted his head slightly now that he felt more comfortable in the presence of wolves whom he could respect. "An old wolf told me of your pack. I was traveling looking for a place to spend the night when I came across him. We spoke for a time and I mentioned that I was looking for a pack to live within and when questioned on what I was looking for he suggested that I seek out your pack." He licked his lips before continuing. "And that is how I came to be here." Falling silent Dagonet watched for the Alpha's reaction and hopefully his acceptance.

So word was spreading . . . It gladdened him enough to smile slightly, a short quirk of the corner of his lips before it resumed a neutral expression. Naturally Chantilly would bring him a wolf with a high work ethic; he was proud to call her his marshall. "I see. Did the wolf tell you of our ranks? Wolves are divided by a task of their choosing here, as one must earn their keep in The Order. I profess that we are in need of warriors and guardians, though in the end the choice is yours. Citizenship is not any less honorable, though the broadness of that title would lead you to do any task asked of you."

And there were quite a few puppies to sit and youths to teach.

Had that been a smile on Fantasia's muzzle? Chantily was almost certain that a swift almost imperceptible quirk had been there though such a thing was so few and far between for the large stoic male that Chantily couldn't be absolutely positive..though she hoped she'd seen right...Fantasia had been even quieter then normal lately and while it certainly wasn't her place to worry about her leader so...she had to admit that she did at times.

"I informed him of the general information upon finding and speaking with him" Chantily supplied - it seemed rather a waste of time to bring a wolf to Fantasia without first explaining the way of the pack and making sure that they did indeed want t be here - never mind the terrible breach of security that would cause, letting them pass through the thorn wall only to leave again and handover everything they had seen inside.

Dagonet waited for Chantily to speak before doing so himself. "No, the old wolf did not speak of ranks, but as Chantily says she has informed me of them and what each entails. I would be happy with any rank, though in truth I do wish to work towards one of the higher ranks, Guardian or Knight sounds like a position I could fill with enough training." He admitted, he would not be put out if he had to start as a citizen and work his way up, but he also didn't want to be handed a high rank just because he asked for it. No, Dagonet was a firm believer in the idea of one earning his or her rank within a pack.

His eyes moved from Fantasia, to Chantily, then back to Fantasia. The fact that the pack needed warriors and guardians boasted well for him taking on such a rank, but ultimately he would let the Alpha decide if he was worthy or not. Dagonet might not look it now, but he was in very good shape and certainly after a week or two of steady meals and a place to sleep his true strength would show. "I could start are a warrior, if you will let me, and work my way to Guardian. I prefer to earn my rank, not be given it."

"Then earn it you shall. Welcome, warrior Dagonet, to the Order," Fantasia said formally. "May you bring honor to your line. Chantily, would you conduct the Blood Oath ceremony with him in my stead? My head has not been clear as of late, and I was intending now to take a walk to clear it."

It was something in the air, he believed. Something trying to tell him about something else. The cold air might make the reception clearer, and it wasn't as if border patrollers were the only ones manning the barrier - Fanta liked to check on his land's defenses every once in a while as well.

Had she heard that right? Fantasia wished for her to induct this newest recruit? Her ears swiveled slightly in worry for her much - if secretly -beloved leader. She was far to honor bound to throw herself at his feet and beg to fix whatever it was bothering him of course, much as he wanted to that would be completely uncivilized.

She would instead ease the burdens from him that she could and bowed her head in acceptance of his request. "As you wish Grand Master, let us keep you no longer. Have a pleasant walk" She wished him before raising her head and looked to Dagonet.

"Well..come along then and we'll get you properly inducted" She told him as she herded him away from her clearly over burdened leader.

"Thank you again, Grand Master." He said with a bow of his head as the other male took his leave. He had done it, he had gained a place in this pack and that was one step closer to his dream. There would be a lot of work ahead of him to gain a higher rank, but he was up to the challenge. His attention then turned to Chantily as she began to lead them away. "Of course." He replied and followed along, he didn't know exactly what the Blood Oath would entail but he was certain that it would be nothing major. And if it was, well he would endure that too.

Chantill led Dagonet back the way they had come, returning to the rose wall so that the wolf could choose his flower. It was a special occasion and Chantilly hoped the other wolf would understand and treat it as such. He seemed like the sort of wolf who would.

Drawing to a halt before the wall before a nice looking patch of roses and turned about to face Dagonet to explain the ritual to him. "Repeat after me" She told the wolf before drawing herself up to her full height " First and foremost, my loyalty is to the pack and its alphas, and I am to follow his or her orders with good faith, I shall show this loyalty not only in my never ending obidience but through living in a manner which represents the virtues of my pack - Honor. Justice. Truth. Loyalty. Faith. Charity. Sagacity.
Diligence. Hope. Valour. Temperance. Liberality. Prudence. And the resolution of the darkness which currently attempts to take hold upon Telk. With my blood do I now seal my words.my heart and my future to the pack"

Following behind in silence Dagonet felt his excitement growing at the prospect of having the Blood Oath preformed, as it would make him an official member of the pack. When she stopped near a patch of roses Dagonet glanced at them for but a moment before turning his attention back to Chantily. He listened to her words carefully, not wanting to miss a single one as he was required to repeat them back to her. After she was done speaking he paused a moment before speaking.

"First and foremost, my loyalty is to the pack and its alphas, and I am to follow his or her orders with good faith, I shall show this loyalty not only in my never ending obidience but through living in a manner which represents the virtues of my pack - Honor. Justice. Truth. Loyalty. Faith. Charity. Sagacity. Diligence. Hope. Valour. Temperance. Liberality. Prudence. And the resolution of the darkness which currently attempts to take hold upon Telk. With my blood do I now seal my words.my heart and my future to the pack." Boy he hoped that was right. Wouldn't that be the most embarrassing thing ever, to have the Alpha agree to let one join and then screw up in the official ceremony and be forced to leave. His ear flicked ever so slightly as he waited to see if he had repeated the words correctly or now.

Chantily scrutinized his words carefully - but the pale wolf did not miss a single one and she nodded slightly in approval before stepping aside and motioning to the roses "You must now pick a rose" She told him "p***k your paw upon it's thorns and let a few drops fall upon the petals...afterwards you may keep the rose in your den as a reminded of your oath"

That nod meant he hadn't messed up. Oh what a relief. His eyes turned to the roses as she instructed him on the next part. He would do that. Padding over to the roses Dagonet's eyes swept over the flowers. Chantily had not said to pick a specific flower, so he let his heart do the choosing. When his eyes fell upon a deep red rose he knew that was the one he would take. Carefully he plucked the rose and a bit of it's stem from the plant and set it on the ground.

He then pressed his paw, carefully so as to not crush the flower, on the thorn. Lifting his paw he waited for a few drops of blood to drip from his paw onto the flower petals and then turned to Chantily. He would take this flower with his to his den, so that he could look upon it each day and remind himself of what this pack stood for and why he was here.

Chantily smiled as the wolf took his time in choosing a rose, she had done the same - and one should take their time, it was an important decision. "Welcome to the Order Dagonet...come I'll show you to your den" She offered with a smile before turning and setting back off the trail.
