"Really?!" Scheelite's gaze shot straight back up, that grin back in full force. "Awesome! Thank you Para! I'll be good, PROMISE, and I can help and it'll be fun and we can eat popcorn and maybe watch a movie and and and..."
Just -what- had she gotten herself into? "It'll be great!"

Paragonite just let one hand rest on her head. Momentary relief from realizing she had migraine strength Advil at home. Though she wished she had something more along the lines of Ambien there so she could just sleep through this entire ordeal.
Too hard to get prescription drugs for no real reason this time of night however. Well, maybe not, but not worth the effort.
Though she could likely scrounge up some NyQuil.
"Oh yeah, just fantastic." she did her best to hide the snideness from her words, though she found it a little difficult.
"NO energy drinks." she informed him quickly though, looking up towards the boy. Pulling herself up from the ground, she let herself fade back into her civvies.
"Anyways," Heather sighed, "long as you are REALLY SUPER GOOD," another deep breath, "we can watch ONE movie. That's it. I have stuff to do."

"Awwwhhh...but energy drinks are tasty! But I had one earlier, so I GUESS I can live.." This really wasn't boding well at all.
"I'll be REALLY good, let's go!" Scheelite's own uniform faded away to....well god his civvies were just as bright as his uniform. Brighter even. Was that a rainbow tie? ...And glowsticks? Really? On his -civvies-?
Yes. Yes it was.
"What movie are we gonna watch? What are you sewing? If I'm good can we do this again sometime? Teamie time is good to have!"

Heather wondered if eyes were actually capable of bleeding from sheer, well, dear lord it was like the 80s and the 70s went out partying and the result of their penance to the porcelain Gods was... THAT.
Maybe she'd take him out someday and buy him some big boy clothing.
Maybe.
"You can pick the movie, I have to sew some costumes and we will see about doing this again, but you have to behave. And did you just say you already had an energy drink tonight?" Maybe she could throw her sewing machine at him and knock him out that way.
No one could honestly hold her responsible for her actions, right?

"Yes! And two earlier, I don't like sleeping. Never really did, but lately...ew. Nightmares are a big time -no-, so I drank some to keep myself awake! Good idea, huh?"
...He'd have to drop eventually, right?
"Costumes? What kind of costumes? NEAT ones? Cause that'd be awesome. I'm going to behave, I already promised! Wouldn't want to toss out the opportunity for future awesome teamie times afterall!" And the chatter continued from one Demetri Wright the entire way to Heather's house.

There are times in everyone's lives, when they wished for something to be different about themselves. Times where your heart just yearns for these things. Heather MacKenzie was having one of those moments as they reached the door of her home. She simply wished that she were deaf. Her life would become easier a hundred fold. As she opened her door, Demetri still prattling on about something (glow in the dark hamsters? Or was that Hamsters in a glow ball? Then again, did she really even care? The answer to that, of course, was a resounding NO!), and she had come to the realization that, there was no way in hell she was going to be getting any work done this evening.
"Look," she started as Demy drew in a breath (it'd been bound to happen eventually. Even he had to take in oxygen once in a blue moon), "take off your shoes, head into the living room, pick out a movie from my collection of DvD's, or Blu-Ray, or whatever I think their are VHS there if you really want, and I'll get you a snack and put it on for you, okay?" it was like babysitting all over again. Except this kid wasn't 9 and she wasn't 13.

It was in fact gerbils having a derby in glow in the dark balls. Cmon, that'd be awesome! Little gerbils scampering all over the place in different colored glowing balls. So awesome.
His next bit of rambling was interrupted as he drew in a much needed breath of air, but in the end he didn't mind. MOVIES and SNACKS. Yes, tonight may have sucked at first but right now it was pretty awesome.
"Kay!" Demy quickly followed directions, leaving his shoes by the door, before heading over to the living room to look for a movie. There was bound to be an awesome cartoon movie in there somewhere right? He liked cartoons!

While she'd never admit it to anyone outside of her own home, if Demy looked behind some more classic movies (Heather had a penchant for things like the Sound of Music, and Casablanca), he'd find a nearly full collection of Disney movies. From Snow White, to the Pixar films, it was a guilty pleasure for her. Outside of that, however, she didn't really have much in the way of Cartoons. But there was a TV, and there was a Satellite dish, so you never know what is on there!
Watching the boy yank off his shoes, she shook her head. Least he was compliant. She made her way to the kitchen (which actually overlooked the living room where Demy would have found himself), and started rooting around for some (non sugary) snacks to give the boy.
All the while praying her house would remain in one piece for the next 2-3 hours.

Most people would not waltz right into someone's house and start rooting through their things. Most polite people would sit back, wait for the host, and ask about things, or at least look -nicely-. Demy, while a lovable (even if he was obnoxious at times) kid was not always overly polite. So rather than feel nervous about being in a new house or calmly look around, Demy went right for the movies and rooted through them. At the very least he wasn't throwing them on the floor or being overly -loud-, but he definitely wasn't above a bit of rooting.
Which led to him finding the Disney movies pretty quickly, and while cartoons EVERYWHERE were pretty tempting there was one shining gem that stuck out and he knew that this was the one. Or the first one, if he could con Para into more than one more (which he'd certainly try to do).
Ahhh, Newsies. A wonderful tale! And one that he totally knew all the lyrics to and could sing along right with the movie. This was going to be -awesome-. Movie picked out, Demy stood bouncing on his feet and holding the treasure of a movie.

Luckily for Demy, Heather was aware of the lack of normalcy that he seemed to possess (or not, she supposed). She was still trying to process how her brain had slipped enough to actually allow him to come into her home. She had this sneaking suspicion that now that he knew where she lived, he was going to be like a a cat with a case of fleas. You may spray the ever living s**t out of the cat, and the fleas may go away.
But they always, always found their way back. As she yanked a bowl out of her cupboards, she shook her head. She really had wanted to get something productive done. Looking back across towards the grinning kid she felt a small smile force itself across her face. If nothing else, at least he was out of harms way for now. He was pretty mangled up looking still, so it was probably not entirely a bad thing that he was there.
Her brain was having a good workout rationalizing itself. "I have white cheddar popcorn flavouring... stuff... if you want." she held up a little blue shaker, trying to recal suddenly when she'd purchased that.

At least in here he was behaving, if only because he didn't want to be banned from her house forever. He was also safe, though from the way he was acting earlier maybe he wasn't the one she needed to worry about. Though he did look pretty rough.
"Ooooo, that sounds pretty good!" He -had- started to head towards the kitchen, but then something else in the living room caught his eye. Head tilted in curiosity, the boy crossed the living room to gently pick up a picture frame. The picture inside had a cute little kid all dressed up in ruffles and sparkles. Awwwww.
"Who's this?" Demy was grinning again, holding up the picture so Heather could see what he was talking about. "The outfit is so shiny..."

"Who's wh-" Heather felt her voice catch in her throat as her eyes lifted from the shaker to look towards the blonde boy. Her face faltered. She'd forgotten that she had those out in plain view. Personally, she liked those pictures. They generally had images of her parents or sister in them. However, with how little of often she brought people to her home, she never thought about hiding them before letting Demetri loose in her house.
"Uh, that's... me." she blurted out rather dryly. Oh dear God, just what she didn't need getting let out into the negaverse. She'd never get taken seriously again. Shiny, sparkly, covered in sequins. At least when she got older the outfits were less Texas tot and a lot sleeker.
Ugh. This would not end well.

"It's you?" Demy had a look of awe. His teamie, wore outfits like that? With all the shine and glitter and sequins? Holy s**t. This was awesome! Maybe they had something in common afterall!
Or...maybe not. Who knew.
"What were you doing? It's SO SHINY. Your uh...'work' outfit should be shiny like this! Then we could match..shiny and glowy. Wouldn't that be awesome?" He seemed excited, so apparently he thought it'd be pretty damn awesome. Heather on the other hand...

... was fighting the urge to run around her house hiding all the other pictures. Taking a deep breath, she placed her popcorn flavour shaker on the counter top.
"I used to be in beauty pageants. That was one of the costumes I wore." she gave a shrug, putting herself back together, more calm and composed.
"That was a long time ago though, I don't do it anymore." it was a partial truth. She didn't really do it anymore, but it wasn't all that long ago she had still been doing it. More or less she'd decided to focus on her schooling and doing something more with her life and prance about on stage.
Though she did like being the center of attention, and there were times that the draw to go back was there.
Not that Demy needed to know that.

"Beauty pageants? As...a kid? ...Really?" Being, you know a boy, Demy really wasn't well versed in such things. Then again...who would -want- him to be?
It was likely he would have prattled on forever, but thankfully Heather had one thing going for her. Food. As the delicious scent of popcorn started to waft through the house, Demy immediately perked up. The wonders of this 'beauty pageant' were quickly forgotten (though that shiny outfit was pretty awesome), and the picture returned to it's rightful place. That done, the boy bounded from the living room straight into the kitchen and up beside Heather.
"I smell popcorn!" Thank you captain obvious...
