"He's an Angeni" Cabriole lifted his head, eyebrow raising, "Angeni have spirit forms, often described a type of personal 'illusion', but its usually fairly solid and realistic... They turn human-- into a two-legger... Though..." The young stallion's head tilted to the side in thought, "Cuauhcoatl's sister seems to be in the form of a Harpy Eagle always... I don't know if she's an Angeni or simply a spirit that took a form other then that of a soquili..."
He frowned slightly, pondering it, " While Angeni are somewhat rare, there are a good number of them still. My Godfather, Cuauhcoatl, is the Angeni of Learning... You obviously haven't been in the Kawanii lands for long- how long has the herd been in these lands? I mean, I know you've been in this location under a year, since the territory markings were fresh and this was close to where my father went to trade with the human Acotas. "

Angeni she had heard of, but not their abilities. So she listened intently to what Cabriole had to say about them, specifically his godfather. Absorbing the information like a sponge. You never knew when information of that nature may come in useful, and Raa' held onto what she considered useful.
The mention of the angeni's sister, a harpy eagle, perked her interest further. Was he favored by the bird? It was a question for another day, perhaps.
A soft yawn stretched her jaws, tongue curling cat like, and she rubbed her cheek along the stallion's neck. Nose nudging the feather that hung from the beads that lay over him. "We've been here about a week, perhaps a few days more." Her voice still held the tail end of the yawn, tone mildly altered from the norm. "We are not staying here though." Another nuzzle pulled her cheek against the side of his neck. She'd always been more affectionate when tired.

Cabriole chuckled slightly under his breath, eyebrows raising up wards and bunching together slightly, "Seems you moved in with a bang, however.. The territory markings had stopped me from entering the established area, but, obviously, I strayed to far"
He was, of course, referring to the claw marks. He had been eying them only for a short while, and was about to turn and quickly beat a path away from whatever predator had caused such markings to the trees, "...Do you have any idea of where you will go after this?"
Fear stirred in his gut a little further as he rested his chin against the edge of the nest again, nibbling on the bottom of his lip -- if they left soon after, and went to the west, or even south east, if they didn't simply 'use and abandon' the males, there was a chance they'd be run on a death march farther away from possible rescue. That didn't seem very appealing in the very least.

Her own chuckle followed his, but there was a certain thread of satisfaction to her's, where his has been more nervous. "Too far indeed, but what a lucky situation." For her, not so much for him. At last he wouldn't consider it that way, specifically not now. Another yawn parted white lips and she let her chin shift along the base of his neck in search of the perfect spot, the perfect cradle for her cheek to lay. When she found it she stilled, moving only to place a talon at a more comfortable position before falling still. She was tired.
"No, not yet. We know only that the land belongs to another heard. The Queen has not yet with Celaeno or myself to discuss plans, but my vote will be to move." She gave a very small frown. "No plans are set in stone yet." Until plans were made, the rebuilding of the nesting grounds would continue. It gave the other sisters something to focus on.
Zahraa' felt time could be better used gather food and rations for the unknown, but she was not yet queen. She did see the necessity of distraction though. Of routine and normality. It gave the flock something to work towards as a whole and kept them all busy and motivated.

There was a long pause as Cabriole pondered, listening to Zahraa talk and breath softly, lost in her own thoughts. He finally broke the silence softly, "To the direct east of here is a human village... And to the south is the ocean. You'd have to go north to the mountains to avoid the humans to head East.. This area is the center of most foot traffic, and many herds intersect the area.. My father is a trader and does business with most people in the area before going east for fresh resources..."
Thinking about this fact, hope sparked slightly in his heart -- This was a fairly heavily traveled area. Even if it was far from the human village, news of the harpies or even just 'danger' would be spreading. And soquili would likely start gathering to try and flush them out. No one likes having bandits raiding the main roads, much less having spread out within their territories. While friendlier herds may intermingle their territory happily, they likely wouldn't share so willingly with tree dwelling predators.

The pale mare was quiet as he spoke and for a short while after, thinking on what he'd said. It was helpful information, to be true, but she wouldn't have offered it without reason. Perhaps the hope of rescue was making his tongue loose. Whatever his motivation in sharing, she would have to relay what he'd said to Aviania. Not now though, it was late and sleep was sucking at the harpy, threatening to drag her under as it softened her voice and delayed her responses.
"I shall let the queen know of this information, I'm sure she'll find it most useful." Not only favored by the spirits, but intelligent and full of useful information. How green her sisters would be with envy over her lovely prize. She smiled to herself, lipping a tuft of soft blue hair the base of his mane.
"I think that's enough talk for one night. It is late, and we both need to rest." Her voice was soft, relaxed, but what she said next held a gentle hardness. "Make no mistake, Cabriole Amachi, if you move, I will wake. If you attempt to flee, there is no cover within this land that can hide you from my anger." A threat, to be sure, but one that seemed to be more a reciting of habit, then of actual concern that he'd try to escape her. A male wandering at night would not go unnoticed. After all, the harpies had sharp senses.

"Considering my position and how deep I am within claimed territories... It didn't even pass my mind." Cabriole hummed softly, unsure if he could adjust himself to be comfortable since the mare had already made herself comfortable, and simply tried to find a place to lay his head that wouldn't require him to move his neck that much.
Eventually he hooked his nose within the lip of the nest and rested his forehead on the structure, hiding as much of his body inside of its protection. Last thing he needed was another mare to try and sneak him away for a little 'fun'. The less attention he drew, the better.
However, while he held that position for most of the night, it took hours of listening to the soft, steady breathing of the mare against him before he finally drifted off to sleep, exhaustion finally taking its toll and allowing him to fade from the reality of consciousness into a dreamless slumber...
