Before she could act, Kato seemed to have laid a clone for her, the real man had quickly went up a tree for a higher vantage point. Taking the hint, she walks toward the clone, engaging in conversation as though nothing has happened. At the corner of her eye she spots Elisa and Eriko both begin to take notice of the newcomer. She had to weigh her options carefully. By showing up in this guise, he has proven himself either highly foolish, or , in the oddest of cases, genuily interested in Hei's death. If they did start a fight here, she had no idea if this would be the final case before Tsukiko snapped, the idea of the gynoid on a rampage would cause nothing but future headaches. Instead, she let the clone sit casually before walking towards the two girls, a nod in confirmation.

"He's not a Shinigami, that's for sure. The hell is he doing here? And what will we do when Tsukiko finds out?" She was whispering to the best of her ability, but the urgency of the matter was becoming clear. This was a very emotional time for the self appointed Captain, and she didn't wish to see what would happen if someone "crashed" the party, of sorts.

Elisia noticed Nu approaching and Elisia inclined her head slightly as a polite greeting. There was unfortunately no time for any pleasantries, not when they might have something like this on their hands. How come Nu had just left Kato like that? Ah well, it wouldn’t do any harm to listen to her now. She frowned in confusion, wondering exactly what to do. Like before, a fight would not exactly do Hei’s funeral any good and even if they attempted to try and ask him to leave, she had a feeling he wouldn’t leave without a fight. What would happen when Tsukiko found out? She threw a hurried glance at Tsukiko, a thoughtful expression upon her face. Tsukiko had most likely organized this entire thing, with the help of Yuki, and it would not be nice to suddenly interrupt it like that. Tsukiko was already quite emotional about the death of her father and upsetting her more might not be good. However, they also had an obligation to Tsukiko that this funeral would run smoothly, without any problems.

Removing her gaze from Tsukiko, she whispered to Nu, “Well, Tsukiko’s much better now and Yuki’s next to her, so don’t worry about her finding out about it. I don’t think we should do anything now, until we have proof that he means harm, or else this entire funeral can turn into a fiasco. However, maybe we might position somebody to watch him carefully and make sure that he’s alright. Do you think it would be wise if we attempted to talk to him?”

Shrugging, he motioned her head to point to Kato, well perched and hidden in a nearby tree, as he was on lookout. "You give Tsu a bit more credit, she'll notice him eventually, if not already..." She found the risks of talking with him to be more riskful then needed so she deemed it correct to continue this charade of nothing wrong, if not for Tsukiko's sake. "If he wanted to ruin it he would have done so, we'll just keep an eye on him. While I hate to leave him like that, we'll just have to see how things play out.....for now." She was wondering what he could be doing here, now of all places. While she had no doubt Hei was infamous in the hollow world, for an arrancar to appear to confirm it, it was a bit suspicous.

"I just want this to end, and him dead. I know you two will use proper judgement when the time comes...." With a smirk, he stares at the newly appointed Captain. "Oh, congrats on yer promotion Elisa-taichou, make Yuki proud, will ya?"

User ImageUser ImageKato's clone promptly turned around and went back towards Nu and Elisia. Once it got there, he whispered, "Don't worry about surveillance...I got it covered," he said, glad that Nu was already taking point in this matter. "Don't talk to him; no need to draw attention to anyone or anything...just leave him be. Nu, if you could, inform your squad and ask them to be on high alert; for all I know, they're probably already here....." The clone then turned around and looked at the casket and then his general surroundings, still putting up the facade that nothing suspicious was occurring. Soon or later, something, or someone, will take notice.
As the clone turned, he nodded at Nu's comment. "I'm sure she will, I'm sure she will."

Elisia attempted to move her head as little as possible, to see Kato. She couldn't see anything, but most likely Nu knew what she was talking about. Oh. That must have been a clone of him before or something like that and Nu had guessed that the clone was not the real Kato. Ah well, at least, they didn’t have to worry too much since they already had a lookout. It seemed as if the other Captains were already ready for anything, to defend Hei’s funeral if necessary. Still, she couldn’t hold back a shiver as she shot a quick glance at the arrival. It was always weird to see non-Shinigami around in Soul Society. “Tsukiko most likely knows already, I think she has super hearing or something like that…but yes, that’s most likely the best thing to do at the moment. We don’t really want to upset this funeral or anything like that.” She paused for a second, thinking her words carefully. Well, the only problem is if they killed this person, who knew what might happen afterwards? Tsukiko was in no mood to fight and it would be a disastrous attempt. There was no other alternative at this particular moment in time. They’d just have to wait it out until after the funeral and figure out who this guy was. “I’ll be ready afterwards, maybe after we might try to see who he really is…and thanks for the congratulations, I’ll do everything I can to make Yuki proud…” As Kato's clone had appeared, she nodded at him, a polite greeting again before speaking normally, “Well, you look after yourself too, Kato, m'kay?”

Nodding, she stares at the man, before walking to her original tree. Their objective was clear, and they all knew what to do. if any other Shinigami arrive, they will be incorporated to the plan as well. Until then, they will simply be the observors.

Masashi, Lee, Gobantai Taicho

"Telling me to go. But hands beg me to stay. Your lips say that you love. Your eyes say that you hate. There's truth in your lies. Doubt in your faith. What you build you lay to waste. There's truth in your lies. Doubt in your faith. All I've got's what you didn't take. So I, I won't be the one. Be the one to leave this. In pieces. And you, you will be alone. Alone with all your secrets. And regrets, don't lie. You promised me the sky. Then tossed me like a stone. You wrap me in your arms. And chill me to the bone. There's truth in your lies. Doubt in your faith. All I've got's what you didn't take."

Lee entered in the traditional mourning colors the same as everyone else though that was just out of respect for Tsukiko and Yuki more than anything. His haori and usual extras to his uniform were missing except the scarf which was replaced by a white scarf instead of the usual black. His blade was at his side for once instead of being away till he needed it. Standing back and watching everybody interact and act like Hei was the greatest person in the world made Lee somewhat sick inside. Everyone could be so fake at times. It was funny how some people forgot how much they hated a person and why once they died. When they were deceased no matter how big of an a*****e they were the person was suddenly such a wonderful person that everyone would miss. Sure it was sincere by some who did not know the man or actually liked him yet for people like Hibiki and Kato Lee couldn't help but lose a small amount of respect for them. Still that was just Lee's observations and having said all he wanted to Hei back in the labs once he returned his body he didn't approach the casket. There was nothing else that need be said. Were Lee to say something right now it likely wouldn't be nice so he choose to remain silent and just be present for event.

When Zenos arrived Lee turned towards him taking not of his silent movements and general appearance. He had seen that face before many years ago along with having witnessed his Silent Sonido before. Taking a glance in Nu's direction Lee watched for any sign of her or anyone else taking control of the situation. Then all of them just seemed to have decided to stay back and observe Zenos having obviously never seen the man before. Sighing and unsheathing his blade Lee disappeared in a shunpo appearing beside Zenos with his blade trained on his midsection somewhat hidden from view by most of the others present save Zenos.
"What brings you here? I was not aware the invitation was extended to Hueco Mundo. I suggest you leave and not cause a scene. If you want to fight we can go away from the actual funeral. If you were just curious if he was dead then you can see he is and have no more reason to stay." Tapping his midsection lightly to let him know the blade was there just in case it was unseen he continued to just remain standing there. Causing a scene was the last thing on Lee's mind yet leaving this person here was out of the question.

Malchut Sephira - Being of Lowliness

Ignoring his words, Zenos cast a vacant stare past Lee and suddenly disappeared, or at least that seemed to have been the case. In reality he had already used Gemelos Sonido to move away, leaving an after image for Lee to focus on. The others would see Zenos walking away from Lee just as began speaking, they would also the afterimage to boot. He seemed wholly unperturbed by those that had noticed him. Captains they called themselves. Some captains. It took them long enough to come to the conclusion that he came in peace, apparently it was not enough that he hadn't come in and obliterated the tombstone. The man behind the Kyakko was found immediately with Pesquisa; Zenos only had to rationalize that the one next to the girl was a clone of sorts. Their attempt to stay quiet and seemingly inconspicuous by whispering turned out to be an utterly wasted attempt. Zenos had picked every word they had spoken due to his enhanced senses, it was as though they had been speaking normally.

His stroll ended roughly a foot behind the ground-ridden Tsukiko and next to Yuki who was a full foot and an inch taller than himself. Running a hand through his silver-colored hair, Zenos peered inside the casket and shifted his gaze to his left, keeping his head still. "Yuki-kun." Zenos knelt on his right knee, rested his left forearm on his left leg which was now perfectly parallel to the ground. "Hakase Hei. Such prowess to match myself while you were a mere Lieutenant. When I first met you, I must say I did not care for you in the slightest, you were quite the rude one. And arrogant to boot, though you certainly had the power to back your arrogance. One must give credit where credit is due, eh? After we fought to a draw and parted, I had heard you had taken a Captain's spot and made a name for yourself; Dark King. Fitting for that Zanpakutō of yours, I suppose. Meant to strike fear in the hearts of those that were foolish enough to cross you. Though by the looks of things it turns out you actually had light in your heart in the end. She's beautiful, your daughter that is. It sounds like she turned out well, the result of love, not darkness. Why you would keep love in reserve for only two people and not all the others currently present is beyond me. I had hoped to have a rematch one day, Hei, but you went off and got yourself killed. Or did you plan that too? Heh. You probably did..." Zenos drew in a sharp breath and rose to his feet.

His fingers went to the small zipper at the front of his navy blue jacket and with a sharp tug, his pulled it open to reveal a white, skin-tight shirt. Moving away, Zenos approached the nearest tree and pulled a dagger from his jacket. It was actually his Zanpakutō, a black dagger with two bent protrusions on either side to act as a tsuba, in the middle of the protrusions was a vertically-placed stone eye with a light purple pupil. Zenos ran his fingers on the spiraled handle, flipped it so he was holding it inversely, and in one fluid motion, slashed the tree with just the edge, leaving a large gash. The tree instantly turned grey as it became solid stone. Reaching up, Zenos retrieved several petals as he put his Zanpakutō back into the sheath sewn inside his jacket. A few seconds later he was at the head of Hei's casket, placing the stone petals on his chest, arranging them meticulously in a weird design of his own fashion. Once done, Zenos nicked his finger with his nail, and a dull grey spread of Reiryoku began gathering at the tip of it. Raising his finger to the sky, the energy compressed then decompressed, firing multiple Gran Rey Cero into the sky in a similar manner to the 21-Gun salute done for fallen military figures in the Realm of the Living. Lowering his finger, Zenos turned and began to walk away. "Ακόμη και στο θάνατο μπορεί εσείς να είναι θριαμβευτικός." With this he fell silent; he had just spoken enough for the entire year. Swiftly moving, his made his way to the foot of the hill, found a large rock and sat down on it, right leg on his left knee, hands in his lap and back straight.

...and thus the world is petrified.

Hibiki Kirisho

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. When Zenos appeared via the Garganta, Hibiki was among the last of the Captains present to sense his presence, let alone deduce that he was a Hollow, an Arrancar. As the figure of Zenos appeared near Hei's funeral servce, the memory of Dolor was what Hibiki recalled. The Exaequere had the ability to change his appearance and reiatsu on a whim, and showing up to the funeral of the man who he just killed seemed to fit well into his personality. With that in mind, Hibiki was not too eager to act, compared to the others who seemed to be more than willing to force the intruder to leave. Hibiki heard that they suspected him to be an Arrancar, only then did the possibility enter his mind, since Zenos didn't have a mask fragment to show. However, he was still open to the possibility of him being Dolor.

When Zenos finally moved towards Hei, Hibiki almost went straight into Bankai to stop him, strange that he would go to such lengths to protect the very corpse of the man whom he swore he himself would kill someday. But Zenos' words and actions stopped him from embarrassing himself, he listened closely to the Arrancar, not sure if his ears were lying to him or not. As Zenos finished his statement and began to 'decorate' Hei's coffin, Hibiki was still dumbstruck by what just transpired. He allowed Zenos to leave the area, not bothering to follow him, something told him the Arrancar truly meant what he had just said. He smirked when things went back to normal "That was... odd, huh?" he looked around at the other Shinigami, he was sure that he wasn't the only one who found the entire thing to be utterly strange.

[Bah, boring post is boring.]

Feeling:A D i s t a n t L o n l i n e s s
"Truth is simply a conception..."

Hideki made a quiet entrance. In fact even if he hadn't, not many people would know who he was. His entire face was different, as well as his hair being different, now pulled back into a low-laying ponytail, much like that of a noble general in a Chinese. It was punctuated by a platinum-like clasp that wraped around the ponytail and kept it together. He held the same blank expression walking towards the ceremonious occasion, wearing his usual attire, which were already white in color. Though the aforementioned fact is indeed true, they have been washed and were now snow-like. His eyes darted at the people who were here already: Hibiki, Tsukiko, Yuki, Lee, Nu, Kaito, Elisia, Tadashi, and an, unknown to him, man with silver hair. He focused first on Elisia, who, to him, felt different. It was simply a feeling, but he felt it would reveal its self to him eventually, all things normally did. He had a hunch, however.

Moving ever closer, his eyes set upon this strange man of silver hair. Never in his life had he seen him. He had a different aura about him. It was linked to the feeling of Arrancar, however, Hideki could tell it wasn't that 'exactly'. Dealing with having to read these types of things in the Hollow Alert system, it was easier for him to distinguish. Hideki was ambling towards the casket, and was about 15 feet away when he was done examining this silvery-man. He held his left hand within his pocket and his right arm rest upon Datenshi, who was in his usual position: laying laterally on the base of his back. He came closer, to about 8 feet from it, and found Tsukiko near it, in tears and clenching her kimono. His blank look of expressionless detail, would break for just a second upon seeing this. His eyebrows would break their serious cast, and his eyes would become softened. He felt pity for her. Not in the slightly mean sense, but in the soft sense. She has been through a lot.

Reaching just two feet from the casket, Hideki moved to the side, opposite Tsukiko, standing to her left. He looked down at Hei. His corpse was just as pale as he was alive, it almost made Hideki chuckle within himself, though he refrained. Crouching at the knee, Hideki balanced himself on his toes, putting his knee's in front of him and resting his arms across them. The stasis he had just came out of has rejuvenated his innards and body, but has left his body with an uncomfortable feeling as his muscles hadn't been used in a week, so when he crouched, he also cringed slightly. In a soft voice, almost playing voice, Hideki spoke, "Tsch. The one thing you really mess up on has had the biggest turmoil. Yuki...She was broken, mentally. Tsukiko, she was in denial. You left a lot of loose ends Hei. Fortunately, some how, they've some what found their way to close. The grief is setting in, but most everyone is doing fine, or better..." Hideki looked over at Tsukiko, then at Zenos, his name not known to Hideki, and then back at Hei. Hideki pushed his weight upwards to stand and stared at Hei for a few seconds before clenching his Hakama in his hands. "Though...least of all, you've left me with no one to strive for. Selfish of me, no? I don't care. It's who I am, who I can be. But the truth is merely a conception, and nothing is set in stone. I can change, you can change, perhaps you have. Perhaps you aren't dead. Perhaps you're silently laughing at us. Perhaps the truth today will be a lie tomorrow. That's a lot of guessing, so for now, I believe it's time to say good bye captain. You've left a legacy." Unclenching his hands, Hideki quickly pocketed them and moved towards the head stone, and stood staring at the expanse of pink blooms in front of him.

⋆⋆⋆ELISIA xRIYU
squadxfourxCAPTAIN

Elisia’s hand automatically went to the hilt of her zanpakuto. Needless to say, she was rather edgy at the moment and this new person was not doing anything to relieve her worries. She shot a nervous glance at Yuki, wondering what she would say about this person, who had greeted her in a rather familiar way. Lee seemed to know him too, but Lee didn’t seem too friendly either. If this person took one wrong step, she’d make sure that she would personally make sure that he suffered. Hei was not exactly her best friend, to say the very least, but still, somebody would have to be extremely cowardly to attack somebody when they were dead. Anyway, he was most likely coming in peace, right? Her hand removed itself from the zanpakuto as she stood motionless, allowing him to come near to the tomb. However, she couldn’t prevent her hands from shaking slightly as she stopped herself from literally throwing herself at this person and killing him in one go.

If there was one thing that would have surprised her, it was not the fact that Hei actually knew this person. Hei seemed to be basically everywhere at once, so who was to say that he didn’t have acquaintances, however strange and weird they might be, in different areas? As the unknown figure pulled a dagger from his jacket, she flinched slightly but did not move again, shivering slightly as she watched him. Her trust was not being misled again, was she? When he had finished decorating, in a sense, Hei’s coffin, it was only then that she realized that she had been holding her breath and she let it out in one big sigh of relief. At least, he had done nothing to harm him at all. Thus, she did not move to prevent him from leaving, as she felt that he was not really too much of a threat anymore. Hearing Hibiki’s words, she lifted her head, replying, “Yes, that was rather strange.” Her gaze settled on the other person she hadn’t recognized, a black-haired man. He seemed like a Shinigami and while his appearance was entirely new to her, she couldn’t shake off the feeling that she knew him – from the blank expression in his face and his attire. She listened quietly, only truly guessing who he was when he referred to Hei as being a ‘Captain’. Most likely, she was looking at Hideki or one of the other 12th Division members, whom she didn’t know too well at all.

Nu paid a watchful eye on the man as he honored Hei's death. he spoke in such way that showed the two were aquaintances, and with lee's reaction, he was rather famous as well, though most likely not for good reasons. She especially paid close attention to his petrification process, something similar to a mythical beast of old. As he arranged Hei's grave to his own style, she watches as he leaves, her eys spotting him resting on a rock. Turning to the others, she groans, the day was simply getting better by the minute. "Well, what now? That guy is sitting down there, doing nothing!..." She felt it no need for whispering, instead speaking to Elisa directly. "While he didn't do anything yet, we don't know what he's really planning, we can't just leave him like that.." She turned to see the clone that had duped Lee, see,ed the man was light on his feet, she couldn't even hear the sonido.

"I want to keep this funeral running, but we also need men to watch him. I'll go watch him, no more need to be sneaky about it...Elisa, be there for Tsukiko and Yuki, with Lee here as well you're all set. I doubt he'll really do anything now so I'll just observe some more, be back later..." With a wave, she begins to head down the hill, eyes still staring off at the man. He said they were once equal, if that was indeed the case, who knows what this man was truly hiding.

Out of the corner of his eye, Tadashi saw Elisia look at him. He wondered if she was thinking about what he'd said after Hei's death. Well, maybe that was a bit presumptious - Elisia had a lot of other things to think about, especially having been promoted to Captain.

He'd actually noticed the presence of the arrancar before Hibiki did (although Tadashi didn't know this), but made no moves to address it. For an arrancar to walk into a funeral full of high-level shinigami and not cause damage must mean either that he'd come to silently mock the dead Captain or pay his respects. Of course, he kept on guard to be safe, but he figured that even if he did act, he wouldn't be able to do much.

When the arrancar left, he allowed himself to relax even though the others were probably still on-guard.

"Hai, Hibiki-taicho," agreed Tadashi.

Hakase Yuki
博士雪

Suffice to say, nothing the others were doing went fully noticed by Yuki. Hearing them, she processed their words, but it was as though they were being heard and understood by a completely different self. She carried a distant, detached look as though she weren't fully present and she stared at Hei's lifeless body like she were in a trance. Her distanced demeanor gradually fell to pieces as Tsukiko began to speak. Her tired gaze fell on her daughter as she collapsed to the ground sobbing. Slowly lowering her self, Yuki came to balance on her toes in a crouching position, her hand moving to Tsukiko's hair which she began to stroke lightly. "It's okay... Let it all out... No need to hold back." She said softly, coddling her daughter.

Somehow, Zenos' appearance came as no surprise to her; in the back of her mind she had been expecting it. Rising to her feet, she pulled Tsukiko up with her, a task that proved to be quite easy despite the girl's heavy chassis. It was Jūshin's ability to lessen gravity on Tsukiko's body that allowed the girl to maintain the image of being quite light to match her small figure. When Zenos addressed her, she looked a little wary, but was overall at ease with him being here. Once he was done with his speech, she watched him idly as he moved towards a tree and turned it to stone, something that was pretty mundane compared what he was actually capable of. She was utterly confused as to the last sentence he had spoken, though she recognized it as Ancient Greek. The only reason she knew this was Hei was fluent in five different languages, one of them being Ancient Greek and it's modern version. He had a tendency to speak in French and Greek when they were alone; he was quite the romantic despite his outward appearance. Finally, she spoke, addressing the others. "Just... leave him be. He fought Hei to a draw and has since become more powerful. You can see him, yes? No mask fragments. He's a Vasto Lorde Arrancar and is what one may call a High Daylight Walker, meaning he is a Vampire with enough power to be immune to the sun's effects. He's immortal, has a very high defense and offense to boot, and carries emotions just like we do, making him very deadly. I hate to tell you this, but he's beyond you all so don't go causing trouble when he clearly means no harm." Turning away from the others, she looked back to Hei whom she was unable to goodbye to yet. She was trying, trying with all her might, but the words just wouldn't come. Quietly, she continued with her attempt while holding Tsukiko close to her.

KATO MEISHI

“Turn your
face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you...”

User ImageUser ImageKato dropped out of the tree, becoming visble as he sent petals cascading everywhere. After Yuki had spoken, he nodded. Yuki was right; he was much, much more powerful than Kato could hope to deal with at the moment. He sighed as he sat down under the tree he just emerged from. "Damn, Hei. Part of me still thinks that this was all part of your plan...then I look at Yuki, and Tsukiko, and I think: This is your plan? The two people you love most at your graveside crying desperately and hoping that this was all a dream? This is how you show your love for them?" He picked up some petals and held them in his hand; watching as one by one, the wind picked them up and they drifted skyward until they faded out of view. "I don't think I'll ever understand you, Hei. I don't think you'll ever let me. All I know is you better have an amazing reason for leaving Yuki and Tsukiko, or I'll kill you myself..." He stopped himself for a moment as one of the petals on the wind floated back earthward. "What am I saying. I can't even kill you. I'm reduced to making comments I wouldn't dare say to your face...You messed up big, Hei, and I don't know what to do now. Nobody does." He spared a glance at Yuki, and he bit his lip, both in anger directed at Hei and disbelief that Hei was....gone.
