Tafari watched Marie for a moment more before his attitude returned. "Whatever, let's just go." He gruffed acting like he wasn't paying attention. He was still unsure about the whole killing thing but he needed to eat. "So, where are we headed?" The tall pup asked before standing and tipping his snout ever so slightly higher. Tafari's tail raised and it swished slowly.

Annoyance flitted through her. "You say whatever now, but you'll be wondering how that rabbit felt if you ever come face to face with a cougar, bear or eagle." she ground out in irritation at the careless male. "You make me want to BITE you..." she growled irritably.
Stalking past the hoity toity male and the ornery male she lead them to the place the rabbits had disappeared into a hole in the ground. She waited until the males took their positions and then she walked around the den and to the ground just behind the entrance, and she sat slowly. A few quiet moments passed and then Marie began rapidly tapping her foot, like a rabbit thumping. Sure enough, a large, wild rabbit hopped from the entrance of the den and when he looked around and saw nothing she stepped forward so she was between the rabbit and the Hole. She snarled and swiped at the rabbit and soon it was bolting in Tafari's direction.

Tafari only laughed at Marie's annoyance but watched himself when he walked past her. The wolf got into his position and crouched low, watching the femme as she lured the rabbit out of it's hole. Tafari was impressed by Marie's skill and took note to be less cocky and actually learn something from her. He watched as the rabbit darted past then jumped to his feet beginning the chase. Marie was right Tafari's long legs helped him easily hold pace with the rabbit. His tail wagged behind him, this was, believe it or not, fun. Tafari chased the rabbit up to were Mody was supposed to be hiding and waited for him to pounce on the terrified animal.

Asmodeus watched as the two of them got into position, before turning and pit-patting towards a nearby bush. Lowering himself slightly, he felt contentment burst in him at the familiar feel of sinking into the hideaway, but he knew he could not stay here for much longer.
So, with an almost inaudible sigh, he carefully shifted himself around and watched from the shadows as the other pups flushed the rabbit out and sent it in his direction. Scrunching up his muscles, his eyes narrowed in on their target, and as it came close, he sprung out and crashed into it. His paws immediately sought to pin the rabbit down, and he let out a small growl as he felt it struggle.

The rabbit squealed in terror and Marie nodded in satisfaction. "Tafari, the kill is yours to make, if you want it. If not, Asmodeus or I will do it." she said.
She had been watching them both and was pleased to see she was not wrong about either of them. "Well done." she said, praising the other two pups.

Tafari skidded to halt and watched the rabbit struggle under Asmodeus' paws. The pup cringed when the creature squealed but nodded to Marie, knowing he would have to do kill or be killed. Tafari eyed the rabbit with guilt in his eyes but he pounced. Changing his mind at the last minute, he shook his head back and forth, closing his eyes. "I can't do it." Tafari whimpered looking down at the terror stricken rabbit.

Marie stepped up and lowered her head. She closed her jaws around the rabbit's throat and she jerked it suddenly, the rabbit made no sound and it fell still in her jaws. She dropped it and whispered, "Thank you for giving us your life, may you rest in peace and go on to be born again." she stepped back and nodded to the males. "Take your portion." she told them both.

Asmodeus shuffled himself over and off of the rabbit, now that it was no longer able to run away. He paused to watch Marie speak, wondering yet again where she picked up these phrases and habits. Because it was incredibly strange to talk to something that was most definitely not alive anymore. Was he missing something? He mentally rolled his eyes and decided not to dwell on it.
Eying their catch, he shrugged and leaned forward to start eating, growling in satisfaction now that he was finally getting something more filling than birds or rodents in his stomach.

Tafari eyes the now lifeless rabbit. He sighed and walked over to it, hunger getting the best of him. "Thanks." He mumbled to the other wolves and somewhat to the rabbit.Tafari began eating his share of the kill. It tasted better than he thought and soon he finished, sitting back and grooming his fur.

She watched them both eat and decided to wait until they had eaten their fill. She lay down and cleaned her paws, tail waving slowly behind her. Her ears laid back and she listened with acute hearing to the area around them, the sound of the water lulling her into contentment.
