When it comes to social attention, Low Brass is ignored much.
It just when it comes to music!
Seriously, our low brass are some great players...well so are everyone else in the band, but, when we have music that are sometimes changed around for our band :C Low brass never gets any cool melody parts. How come only mellophones get all the good parts, Tubas rule too :..C
So yea, that's how we get ignored -. -...Unless it's "Play louder Low Brass, that parts important" "Too Loud Tubas!" >_or trying to make or parts sound perfect no matter how crappy the woodwinds sound...(perks of having a trombone playing BD)

X-Band Rocks-X toco clarinet k00kie d0ugh Our low brass section isn't ignored, we just don't screw up as much as the other sections. Yeah we occasionally mess up, but we don't get away with it. Ever. It just sort of depends on your BD I guess. and it does get annoying having to explain what a baritone and/or euphonium is. ai hate it even more when I say I play baritone, and they ask "oh you mean bari sax?" burning_eyes I just tell them to google it. I stopped explaining a looooooong time ago i have never heard of anyone hearing the word "baritone" and then proceeding to say "you mean bari sax?"... o.O you know, unless the person plays bari sax, in which case they should know that if you meant bari sax, you would have said bari sax. nobody i know even knows what a bari sax is unless they're in the band, and in that case they know what the baritone/euphonium is. He is fine toco and why are in here by the way toco? @toco bari sax is a popular instrument at my school stare i have no idea why... @band rocks ...i'm a chick >.>

^ Rant xD For our only Tuba its usually play as loud as you can, because the rest of the band seems to over power him even when he is playing fortissimo the entire time (of course im talking about marching band) and im normally getting told that if i dont play louder than they are gonna kick me (im the only Trombone in marching) sooo i usually get alot of attention except the woodwinds get more because thats what my Band Director can actually teach

I prefer to play the euph, but can play euph/bari, tuba/susa, and soon trombone. We are so ignored, but that's because we have the best marchers, best players, and best overall attitude. We are a great section in our school. Everyone else wishes they could be LB!

We're ignored because we are good at playing our parts: our music is not full of challenging melodies or high notes that you have to work on as excessively as the woodwinds/trumpets have to.
