Shuddering, the girl quickly stepped backward, nearly tripping over her own feet; she stumbled, landing up against an old rotten tree. "Yuck." She exclaimed, squinting the almost delicate appearing features of her face. Sahra wanted nothing to do with the water; nothing meant going nowhere near it! No, not now, not anymore; ever since the first day she had came home, when she fell into the water, well, she didn't exactly agree with it now, and she didn't think that she ever would! Why would she want to? It was so...yuck. "I'ma nawt go'n near that stuff..."
But the butterfly quickly caught her gaze, fluttering innocently about above the surface of water; it seemed so serene, so simplistic. And the colouring of the creature was simply breath taking; it was so bright and colourful! "Pretty." Speaking softly to herself, the cheetah couldn't help but to appreciate the being, it was very easy for her to believe that such a thing could lead them to faeries, it seemed to fit.
"Well, er..." Scrambling to her feet, she stood up straight, head whipping from side to side, ears nearly flat against her head, signaling the fact that she felt rather intimidated by the stream, she thought of the waters edge by home. There were many fallen trees that went over the river, and the furry hogs that swam in the river made dams, too, maybe they could find something like that? "Look for ee, fall'n tree?" Simply wanting to suggest something, but not get near the water herself, even if was over it, Sahra didn't want to go anywhere near it, nope, no one could make her!

The boy looked back in mild interest at the souds behind him. It sounded like there was a struggle going on, but the girl was just... Against a tree. He shrugged, turning his gaze back to looking each way for something, something that might work. He didn't give Sahra's actions a second thought untils he spoke, and he looked back again, frowning. "Suh dun wanna sei the fae'eis?" He asked, obviously a little annoyed with her lack of conviction int he quest. He didn't like water much either, but he was willing to brave it in order to find them. She should be too. He knelt down, pawing at the grass a bit as he continued to try to find the answer to his problems. No good, no good... No rocks, no log...
He gave a quiet cry of annoyance, checking the butterfly once more before standing up, and stalking a few paces down once side of the stream, seeing if perhaps that would bring something into sight. Nope... No good. He glanced back at the girl as she mumbled something quietly, something he didn't catch. He didn't bother asking about it, he was still a bit miffed she wanted to give up just because fo a little water.
He kicked at the grass idly a few times, taking out the frustrating building up in his mind on it, before glancing over at the voice again. He nodded, pointing down the stream. "I's dun sei teis wei suh le-" He stopped mid sentence as he heard footsteps, something heading their way. The boy wandered a bit in the direction of the noise, before pausing as a voice called out. Something far too familiar.
"Keanu..?" Came the worried call, and the orange eared feline came into view, she was looking the other way at first, but then turned, first spotting the young girl, before her eyes wandered to the black, and white boy closer to the water. Too close to the water... "K-Keanu don't fall inthe water!" She cried, quickly shoving her way through the bush, dropping the basket where she stood in order to go 'save' the boy.
And that meant the end of his hunting most likely, or... "Wei nehd tah geh obah!" He cried, waving his arms a bit at the stream before the woman scooped him up off the ground, quickly backing away from the water. She liked the fluids no more than the cheetah child, actually she down right hated them.
"No, no... You can't go in the water." She said, assuming the boy must have been scared out here alone. Well... Mostly alone. Her eyes fell down on the girl, curiosity perking in them a moment. "And who might you be?" She asked, starting to calm a bit from the worry of the water snagging her little son away. Oi vey... She needed to make sure he didn't ever get away like that again.

"Hrmph!" She shrugged, not much caring how another viewed her dislikes, the girl forced herself to calm, standing with both hands folded neatly behind her back. Eyes darting everywhere, but mostly around the butterfly, Sahra couldn't really think of any other way to get across the water course with out swimming; ack, just thinking about it sent shivers up her spine!
"Mm?" Ears twitching, and soon flattening backward as she thought that she may have heard something moving about in the near distance. What could it be? She didn't think she wanted to know, nope--but then it came. Some sort of cat woman, thing, had nearly jumped out of nowhere! And with instinct kicking in quickly, the cheetah fled behind the protection of a few trees. But after hearing herself being referred to, well, it was apparent that she was to late.
Slipping out into sight once more, but in a slightly defensive position, the girl peered up and over at this new "thing" she was being forced to deal with. And again with the up! Why must she always have to look up!? "Er..." Having a general loss of words, Sahra watched the woman as she interacted with the spotted that she had run into not long before. "Uh..." Wait, why was she going to answer her first? She didn't have to tell her who she was, at least not until she knew her! "Well who are you?" She asked, letting out a quick chirp-ish mew, "Because Yin said I am not supposed to talk to strange people..." Her voice generally got quieter as she spoke, as it always had; she remembered that she had also been told it was not good to talk to strangers, meaning people she didn't know, right?

Oh Keanu was not happy. Not only had his games come to end end, but they'd been so close! The water thwarted them, and now his mother. Ending the fun. "Wanna guh obah!" He repeated more loudly, ears flattening back against his head in annoyance, not that it did any good. His mother wouldn't budge from the idea. "FLAI FLAI! ES GUHNA GEH UHWEI!" Still louder, which didn't get the point across, and the boy finally resigned himself to loosing thise chance. No faeries today it seemed.
Meanwhile Raja took a moment to tap Keanu onthe nose to shush him. "Yelling get's you nothing." She said matter of factly. She'd been worried earlier, but now she was a tad annoyed. He wasn't supposed to run off, this certainly couldn't look good for her. But more importantly he almost hurt himself, what if he HAD fallen in. She might not have found him in time. Subconciously she clung tighter to the little kid in her arms while looking at the little girl before her. Why couldn't Keanu be more like that? Careful, cautious, and a bit more obedient. A smile curled on the orange eared feline's lips.
"Ah, what a darling little girl. I'm Raja, Keanu's mother." She ruffled the boy's bangs with one hand. He was still scowling from being stopped, and had decided to give her the silent treatment for now. Not the least bit pleased at all. "I'm assuming you've met him. I hope he didn't upset you, or cause trouble." She added. Keanu had a habit of finding the worst possible thing he could do, and well... Doing it. Oi vey...
"So may I ask again? Who are you? A friend of Keanu's?" Her son could definitely use some more down to earth friends like this girl. Maybe she'd rub off on him?

Shooting an odd look towards her new acquaintance, the cheetah wondered why he was yelling? She wasn't sure, but, there were other things that needed to be done. Like about the water, why were they just standing there? After all, the stream wasn't! It kept moving, moving, moving along as if nothing else in the world mattered but getting to...where ever it went when it went down the...stream!
"Um, um..." Not feeling to sure, Sahra began to back off slightly, not really enjoying the feeling of being around someone she did not know even the slightest bit. And it was an adult! So she might be dangerous, right? Wasn't there always that chance? The not being sure part was another portion she disliked even less, the general feeling was just so spine twistingly horrible! Flinching slightly, she attempted once more to reply, "Raja..." She said the name once, although meaning originally to say something more, it's all that came out.
"I am...am Sahra Karch...kanon, uh, Mr. Raja." Standing oddly, she crossed her legs, and looked about nervously. Why was this lady asking her so many questions? It wasn't very normal. "Huh? Nuh-no!" She said quickly, eyes darting up to the towering being above her. "He wash nice..."

Keanu had all the reason to yell, his mum wasn't helping him get closer to the butterfly, which was now most definitely gone. He frowned at the tap to his nose and the words said along with it, he flicked an ear looking up at the sky hoping perhaps it might show up again. "Es fae'eis aweh..." He said more quietly, hoping perhaps that would get some movement. It didn't, Raja was now most certainly distracted with the little girl, and Keanu wasn't going to be getting down anytime soon. Not after he'd run off like that, she obviously wasn't going to give him another chance.
The woman nodded to the single word that was said, a smile forming on her face. "Yes, Raja." She stated, listening as the girl spoke again. "Oh, it's nice to meet you, Sahrah. Though, I'm a Ms. Raja, not a mister." She added, patting Keanu on the head, ignoring the fact he look just a bit grumpy about the game ending. "Keanu will be a mister once he learns some manners like yours." She knelt down slightly to hold out her free hand to the young cheetah to shake. "I'm glad he was nice." Her gaze turned to the spotted boy as if to make the next statement a warning and lesson for future encounters. "Because if he hadn't been he'd need to appologize."
With that said she turned her own attention back from her son who was now attempting to give her a snubbing for letting the faeries escape. "So, are you out here all alone? Or did you have an adult with you?"
"Sahra wuhs weh trei trei." Keanu chimed in attempting to help, and proving that he wasn't any good at holding grudges. "Fae'eis ehn trei."

((I figure this can probably be the end of this. Because wow... Yeah.))
A frown might have planted itself on the woman's face, but she didn't want to contradict the girl. She simply gave a brief nod after she agreed with her son's explaination of meeting her. "Alright, ewell if you where alone, but you shouldn't wander around in the forest without someone else." Even though wandering around in the forest to begin with was a bad idea. "You should have someone older with you." And not Keanu, Keanu didn't count as good company to keep you out of trouble. Raja was learning that rather quickly. Though it seemed that this young lady wouldn't get the fact that she was a Ms. and not a Mr. for a while. Perhaps eventually. It was a phase just like her son's running off was.(Or so she thought.)
Keanu was resigning himself to his capture finally, and nodded to his mother's words. Better to save one than all be doomed. Of course he paused as she mentioned older. "Eh nah neid olah." He quickly snapped eyeing his mother. "Ei cahn fein wei." He added, giving a definative not to end the discussion.
It was good that the feline didn't feel like arguing anymore in front of the girl, if anything she wanted to get Keanu home to find some good way to explain that wandering off was bad, even if he was looking for something nice like faeries. So with a brief smile to the younger child she nodded. "So from now on, come with someone else that's older, alright?" She smiled brightly down at the girl. She didn't like the idea of leaving the child out here on her own, but apparently there wasn't a parent to take her back to. So she would be left with the duties of dealing with her own accident prone, adventure seeking child to deal with. Maybe this time the logic would make it through his thick skull.
"Maybe I'll see you again young lady, but for now... I think it's time for Keanu, and I to go home." Because he's in a load of trouble. "You should probably head home soon too, someone must be worried about you." You're barely older than Keanu, what kind of parent would let you wander around alone? She lightly dipped as if in a mockery of a true curtsey so not to put down Keanu before moving over to retrieve the basket she'd dropped. "Have a good day though miss Sahra." She added, before starting off.
Keanu took his own turn bidding the young girl a farewell wave as well as a last call for what she should really do. Going home wouldn't be any fun. "Duhn gev uhpa on thuh fae'eis. Teir outah thehr! Fin' em!" He didn't get to say much else though, seeing as it likely wouldn't have been heard anyway. Streams did make a bit of noise.
