I started with trumpet, played it for 6 years, then I switched to French horn because I liked the instrument better. smile

Sorry to break everybody's happiness but HELL NO!! I hate playing the flute everyone says that its the flute and not me but I know that thats a bunch of b******t! I wanted to play percussion but I failed at that so I may as well just give up because I dont like any other insturments that my crappy school has!!! (im gonna stop talking about this because i can go on forever)

Well before my 4th grade year, we had an assembly about which instrument you wanted to play the following year. After the assembly you could go up and look at each instrument and pick which one you wanted. As we were walking up my mom asked, "So which would you like to play, the flute or the clarinet?" assuming of course that a girl would only play those instruments. I proudly said "I wanna play the trumpet. I don't wanna play an instrument that no one can hear. I wanna be loud!" And I've been playing my loud trumpet ever since. heart

I thought the trumpets we're too loud! We had saxophones and Trumpets and yadda yadda in our fourth grade band and they we're too loud, so you couldn't hear us at all. D: We we're better than the middle schoolers though, we had our backs straight and our flutes high, as they we're crouched and had their flutes leaning like this -> On their laps! I was so pissed when I saw them, they looked HORRRIBLEEE. D<

Uuh... Not really. I originally wanted to play trombone, but I couldn't blow into the mouthpiece for my life! rofl So, I settled for clarinet, which I very much enjoy.

I started band on the trumpet. But now I play the instrument I want - bassoon. I never played it in the school band in high school, though. I started learning it in my second semester of my senior year.

I wanted to play percussion for the longest time (my uncle even bought be a drum set for my 10th birthday.) So when beginner band tryouts came around I expected to try out for the drums, but my mom said no. So I went with the clarinet, and turns out I was better at it than I ever was at the drums, so I stuck with it. Best decision my mom's ever made for me. Clarinets rule. ^_^

I actually wanted to play the cello.
Yes, a string instrument. But it's ok, I can play baritone, tuba, trombone, and trumpet and pwn all the low brass people in my section. Hehe... girl power...
