Younger dragons should silence themselves before their elders. Watch your tongue and your tone Tereth, and stick with playing with the humans.
Play nice.
H'oun's words were short as his arms carried him through the water in his race, his stride quickly overtaking the smaller yet swifter movements of Gabriel. He had age on her as well as strength and body length so it was no surprise when he caught up to her early lead and started to pass in front of her.
"Let me know of their needs? Like...in my head and whatnot? I've only heard rumors an' what have ya from the people who come back ta the Hall, so I dunno much of anythin'. I figure it's a good as any time ta learn though, since ya have a Queen here and them Crimsons. They all can clutch at any time, yeah?"

I do not believe that I have said anything offensive. I simply pointed out that no humans have been harmed.
Give it a rest, Tereth. There's no point in getting into an argument with him, S'ren remarked before replying to Ofelia. "Yup, dragons communicate telepathically, so you would hear him or her in your head." Hadn't Pierth already spoken to her once? "And I believe the queen will probably be rising at any time now. Enough time has certainly elapsed since the last clutch."
I have done no wrong, replied stubbornly, speaking only to his rider. He is... how do you say... crotchety.
The brownrider had to hold back a snort at that one. Yes, well, after 25 years he's earned that right. Let him be.
Very well then.
Aw man... Gabriel thought to herself as H'oun soon took the lead. She swam as hard as she could, but it was quite evident by this point who was likely to win. Still, she wouldn't give up! There was always a chance.

"...Interestin'. I dunno if I'd like that or not, but ya never know until it happens, yeah? I wonder if we'll be 'ere when the eggs come an' hatch. I should ask mah brother."
Almost as if by clockwork or as though waiting for a sign to show up, a small green flitter popped from between with a mild chirp. A note was tied to her back leg and she quickly made her way over to the red-headed woman, eyes whirling a loving green and blue in indication that this little creature belonged to her.
"Ah Puck, speak of Thread an' it falls on ya. I take it mah brother is wonderin' where I'm at?"
The note was removed and read, Ofelia pretty much spot on about it's contents, and the young woman sighed as she looked over at the man she'd been speaking with as well as her companion in the water. That little race was over, the older dragonriding man had won, and despite having won he looked more than sheepish for it. Perhaps he'd been trying to let the little one have her time?
"Oi Gabby, I gotta go. Ma brother says somethin' is up with a pickin' vat an' I'm the only one 'ere willin' ta climb inside one of 'em, drained or not. I'll be seein' ya aroun' right? Ya as well, S'ren? An' of course Tereth, 'cause yer kinda big an' hard ta miss."
There wasn't much more room for discussion as the Tanner walked off quickly, her steps carrying her father ahead before she started into a jog. The green known as Puck followed behind rapidly, the pair vanishing off into the distance.
". . . That was weird. Maybe we'll see her again, hm?"
I am not holding my breath.

"C'ya, Ofie!" the teen called out to the Tanner as she left, waving the woman off with a cheerful smile.
"Good bye," S'ren replied with a bemused expression, although Ofelia was probably too far off to hear the reply. He wasn't entirely sure what to make of the Tanner just yet.
She is interesting. I hope we see her again soon, Tereth remarked to His with a pleased whirl of the eyes.
Gabriel turned her attention back onto H'oun once Ofelia had officially gone. "Great race, H'oun. Next time I'll be sure to beat you though," she remarked with a grin. It was at this point however that the teen seemed to realize she was alone in the water with two brownriders and their dragons. Hm. "Well, as fun as this has been, I should probably let you guys enjoy the lake for a bit. I'm sure the Candidatemaster wouldn't appreciate me slacking off so early even though I actually did finish what I was assigned," she said with a small chuckle. "I'll see you guys around then."
S'ren slid down from his dragon's back and into the water just as the Candidate began to take her leave. "Farewell." Once she was out of earshot, he jokingly said to H'oun, "Our company must be rather undesirable to drive them both off so quickly."
I blame Pierth. The brown's eyes whirled with humor now.
Of course you do.
