ρнøεвε (ℓуии) нαяяιѕ My baby's pretty as a car crash, Sexy as the stinger of a hornet in your arm, Just another modern swinger. Screaming catch me if you can with a cigarette in hand And it’s love... Phoebe moaned as her eyes opened a fraction. The light from the overhead sun was almost blinding, waking her from her deep slumber. She silently cursed herself for sleeping in so long. Usually, Phoebe was awake when the sun was just coming up, but the hunt from the night before took longer than usual because of the storm. Phoebe went around the island much slower as to avoid the pelting rain and freezing wind. Despite the weather from the night, Pheobe still had a decent catch. Out of her eight strategically placed traps, five of them had rabbits in them. Pheobe had dropped the rabits outside the Royal family's back door in a bucket so the cook could have them for the family.
Phoebe sat up slowly, rubbing her gray-blue eyes. A yawn escaped her lips as she ran her fingers through her unruly hair to try to tame it some. Not in the mood to bathe for the day, Phoebe simply changed into one of her few daily outfits. It was a weaved oversized black dress with silver accents. It was a simple dress that Phoebe had traded four lemur skins for. But, it was one of her favourite articles of clothing. Grabbing her bow and arrow, Phoebe set out to snag a bird for breakfast. Most of the villagers hunted their own food, save the royal family. Phoebe was one of the best hunters of the village, so she was naturally selected to provide food for the King, Queen, and their daughter. Even though Phoebe hunted for the family, she had no other special treatment. She was a simple villager that just had to put in more work for the good of the people.
Her bow was a piece of flexible willow wood, about 5' long. There was purple thread woven around each end and a few feathers Phoebe had found. It was a beautiful bow, with a matching quiver of arrows. She slung the quiver over her right shoulder, and carried her bow in her left hand. Phoebe walked out of her small two room hut and out into the sunlight. She suinted as she made her way to the nearby forest. Phoebe's hut was at the North Western end of the village, near the edge of the village. After seizing up the damage the storm had on her outer walls and small garden, Phoebe smiled as she started to jog farther into the forest. Her footsteps were light as she made almost no noise on the uneven turf. The air was humid from the evaporating rainwater, and soon Phoebe's hair was plastered to her neck. She slowed to a slow walk as she listened to the forest around her.
Phoebe had never been a very social being, and even as a child she found herself alone in the forest. It was so peaceful there, and she preferred it to the noise of the village. She took a deep breath of the fresh air, smiling as she did so. The forest was the only place she was truly at one with herself. A twig snapped nearby, and within the blink of an eye, Phoebe was in a feral crouch with her bow drawn. Her eyes were narrowed as she scanned the nearby bushes for her prey. To her surprise, the noise did not come from an animal. It was Maria. A small smile formed on her lips as she took the arrow off the bow and placed it delicately back in the quiver. She stood slowly, not making noise as she did so. Maria was headed to... The beach? It seems rather early to be washing clothes... Phoebe thought as she stepped back into the shadows. She preferred watching instead of interacting to others. Her eyes followed Maria as the girl walked by. However, as she stood, Phoebe heard light voices coming up from the beach. Curiosity came over her as she started to follow Maria towards the strange noises.
My baby's pretty as a car crash, subtle as a splinter, Yeah, my baby's smooth as sandpaper, warm just like the winter. Screaming catch me if you can with a cigarette in hand And its love...

Shiloh opened her eyes with a groan as a strong breeze blew a pile of sand over her body. Spitting out a few out the grains, the blonde girl sat up and ruffled her hair as even more sand fell out of it. This was just a super awesome fantastic place, wasn't it? Who didn't like sand getting in all the wrong places and things like that? It was so much fun, really! Getting to her feet, Shiloh walked down toward the water's edge to see if anything had survived beside the passengers. "Oh, this is great.Just great! All my books are gone! What am I supposed to do now? Build sandcastles?" Shiloh huffed and dropped the the damp sand. At least she was wearing cool clothes and not winter clothes or anything. Since her clothes were seemingly missing, all she had were the khaki capris and the black short sleeved shirt she had on her back.
Brushing some flaxen hair from her pale blue eyes, she scanned the surrounding area for the others but she didn't seem them? Had the wandered somewhere else in the night? Gotten up to go pee and got eaten by some weird monster? Perhaps Shiloh Noelle Powell had read too many books, especially on the flight that was supposed to help her relax away from her stupid high expectation boarding school. Stupid parents, and stupid school. Feeling eyes on her, Shiloh's body snapped around so her eyes could peer into the trees. She could have sworn that something was watching her but it was probably just a monkey or something. Wait, a monkey? Aah, so cuuuute..! Getting up from the sand, she walked over to the edge of the woods. Maybe the others had gone exploring. She couldn't believe that six people would just up and leave a sixteen year old on the beach by herself. She doubted even more that that lazy guy she had to sit next to would go anywhere at all.
The shade from the tropical sun brought out a sigh of relief from Shiloh's chapped lips. "You shouldn't stray when you're lost. You should stay in one place until you're found... Well, I'm on an island in the middle of the freaking ocean soooo...screw that idea!" she mumbled as she ventured into the woods. There were plants and vines that she had never seen before and flowers in colors she could never have imagined in her life time. Movement of something big caught her sight from the corner of her eye and she squinted her eyes to get a better look. "The adventuress spies some sort of creature watching her, perhaps wanting to make a meal of her. Little known to the creature, the adventuress will make quick work of it with...her giant sword!" Looking around during her pause, she found a rather large stick and wield it like a sword. If she couldn't have her books to keep her occupied, she would just have to make her own stories, right? Right!

Someone was coming closer. Maria stiffened a bit and listened more closely. She felt eyes watching her every move. Someone was following her. The girl turned around, almost hesitant, but only to see that it was one of the major Huntresses from the village. Maria smiled and rolled her eyes at her companion. "Warn me next time Phoebe." She whispered, and continued her pace. Suddenly a human figure emerged from lit area of the beach. It was a girl, light haired for that matter. Such a bright and unusual color. Her own hair wasn't even that light, and hers was one of the few people with a golden tinge to it. But this female's was practically a living sun. Maria tried not to gasp, and inched forward, keeping hidden behind her tree. Her clothing was strange, even for the villages outside of hers. Who was this creature of sun light? Maria wanted to say something to her, but she was unsure if that was a brilliant idea. The girl was wielding a stick like some sort of weapon, although she was making a horrible mess of it. The servant couldn't help but be a little irradiated that she decided to whack the living daylights out the plants, but she ignored that for now.
Maria spoke to Pheobe with expert quietness, hoping she was still behind her and she wasn't just talking to empty space, "Do you know this creature?" Maria asked, even though she knew the answer would probably be no. She just wanted to reassure herself, and the fact that a complete stranger had washed up upon their beach wearing strange clothing and sporting unusual colored hair. Maria almost admired the short looks. No one in the village really had such things. Cutting hair was difficult considering they could only sharpen the knives of the chef, which were made of minerals found near the falls, and it took enough man power to do such on their own.
It only made the girl more curious as to why she was alone. Maria gave up her hiding space and decided to put herself in the open. Only a dozen yards away from the girl, which if you think about it, isn't very far. Maria eyed her and halted in her advancement toward her, allowing her to make her own steps. She didn't say anything for a moment and only looked the girl in the eyes, a piercing stare. "Who are you." It was almost a demand rather then a question. Maria tilted her head questioningly, studying the stick in her hand that the girl playfully drew.

▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄_______Λsнтσи Ξмιℓ Ϲнαиɢ_______▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ ɢroaning, tanned skin pricked at the cool wind that danced across the island, swaying Asch's short, brown locks to the left, carrying lout some sand that had stuck during his wash up on shore. His eyes shut tighter before blinking slowly, only to be met by the bright sun and clear sky. Rolling to his side, the twenty-one year old covered his eyes with a slightly sandy tanned and toned arm, before trying to open his brown eyes yet again, hoping to know the world he was currently in. Dazed and slightly blind, trying to adjust to the sudden brightness, Ashton's chest heaved with a cough, his body lurching, while he struggled for the long awaited air from a deep breathed. His forehead pressed to the sand, the young man steadied himself before attempting to move. Reality spun as his legs were numb with sleep, nearly making him fall right back down to his knees in disgrace. Like jelly, the older brother of Nicole wavered, finally grasping his head to slow down the speed of what was going on around him. No one he knew was in sight, unless they were on the other side of the rocks to his left, or the wood on his right... Taking another deep breath, Asch followed the ocean to the sand to the treeline, hearing some voices, seeing some foot impressions in the sand. Obviously, someone was walking there before, but the wind covered everything up for the most part. His shorts clung to his legs, slightly damp from the oncoming waves that kept hitting him while he was out. His yellow muscle shirt was crinkled and dry for the most spot, save for the trim at the bottom. Running a hand through his hair, some sand trickled down his neck, releasing his scalp from an infinite itch.
The voices were still hazy in his mind, and seemingly distant, but the noise was easy to identify with the dead silence. The waves crashed against the shore, but seemed to grow quieter with every step he took. If there was civilization, then they for sure could help find his sister and parents. The would know the layout better, and it'd be quicker than just searching by himself. A demand was made clear as Ashton pushed plants out of his way, hushing the rustles he made as the voice became clear. A girl he saw on the ship was there, with two others, who were wearing much different, and less clothing than he was used to seeing in public. "Though, a forest isn't really much of a public place. Speaking of which, where did we end up? That storm really took us far. There wasn't any land before the wind hit us..." Finally mustering a coherent thought, Ashton stayed behind a tree, breathing through his nose for a better silence and camouflage, hoping that the blonde from the ship was going to ask his question. Both unknown females were beautiful, which was surprising, but beauty could wait. Finding out where he was, where his sister was, and surviving were the only important factors in the situation.
The brunette, one who looked older than the other two, was holding a bow, obviously intending to use it on something or someone. The other blonde, didn't have a weapon, but seemed displeased and angry at the girl. Lastly, the girl who was near Nicole's age was holding a stick, probably for protection. Stating the obvious in his mind, Asch took another peek at the three, wanting to know what was going down. More rustling occurred a ways away from the four, but it was muffled shouts and hacking sounds, like they were trying to rebuild things from the trees since the storm hit. Covering his feet from the tickling grass and the broken twigs were his soaked Chucks, thankfully not making squelching sounds with every step. He had the sand to thank for that. Realizing he held his breath as he stole another glance from the three, he let it out slowly, hoping not to get caught just yet.

ρнøεвε (ℓуии) нαяяιѕ My baby's pretty as a car crash, Sexy as the stinger of a hornet in your arm, Just another modern swinger. Screaming catch me if you can with a cigarette in hand And it’s love... The corners of Phoebe's mouth tilted up when Maria caught her. "I should have known you'd see me," Phoebe mumbled as she stepped a little closer. The trees blocked the two of them from the beach. A rustling of twigs and trees made her head snap up and look towards the beach. A girl a few years younger than herself was making loud noises and swinging a stick around her as if it were a weapon. It's nothing against my bow... Phoebe thought as she grabbed an arrow from the quiver. The girl was strange. Even her hair was foreign. Phoebe squinted from the brightness. It'll be as easy as one... two... The look on Maria's face stopped Phoebe from shooting. She looked curious. Lowering her bow, Phoebe heard Maria's question. Just as Phoebe was about to answer, Maria was already stepping out to talk to the strange creature.
Phoebe crossed her eyes in slight annoyance. She was going to tell Maria that it wasn't a good idea to get too near. The girl, even without a suitable weapon, could be dangerous. Cursing slightly, Phoebe stepped out of the shadows to stand to the right of Maria. Her bow was still strung, but it wasn't drawn or pointed at the girl. But it was still in sight, just in case the girl was going to try anything. Part of being a Huntress was also being a protector. When there were people in her 'party', she protected them as best as she could. Phoebe glared at the girl, demanding an answer to Maria's question. She wanted cooperation.
For one moment, Phoebe's eyes darted to a spot behind the stranger. There had been a noise. A twig was snapped in a way that was too sudden to be an animal running away. Something was watching them. Her eyes flickered back to the girl before them. If whatever was in the bushes wasn't coming out, they weren't in danger. Phoebe took a mental note of the presence of the being while she waited for the girl to speak.

Shiloh's head snapped up at the sound of a voice asking who she was. The voice didn't sound all that friendly and it didn't sound like the mom or the daughter that had been on the plane with her and when Shiloh eyes found the source of the voice there wasn't a doubt that the girl hadn't been on the plane. She was wearing clothes that no one from the city (except maybe a hippie) would wear. Her skin was perfectly tanned and her hair was wild yet still looked nice. She blinked her pale eyes a few times before she realized that the girl was indeed talking to her. That was also when she noticed the dark haired girl weilding a bow and arrow. Answer the nice maniac... "I'm Shiloh." Way to state the obvious.
Shiloh turned her attention back to the more dangerous looking one. The stick fell out of her hands and rolled away. Shiloh quickly looked down to see if it was nearby before meeting the glare of the hunter again. Well, there went her only means of any defense. She didn't notice the noises behind her and she had forgotten about the other survivors. "Can you put that thing down?" Shiloh took a step back. That lady was gonna put someone's eyes out with that thing but Shiloh had the feeling she'd rather shoot it thorough her heart. She hoped the two of them couldn't see her knees shaking. Was she really gonna die in a place or no one would ever find her body? Oh my god, the inhumanity!

"Оно не справедливо, мать!" the little girl cried as she tugged on her mother's clothes. She didn't want to be sent away to some foreign place to marry some man who was years older than her. He could be the same age as her father for crying out loud. Did it even matter that she didn't like boys? No, it didn't. Her parents were shipping her off as a mail-order bride for money to take care of her younger brother.
Years later, here was little Andrea, all grown up and stranded on an island with a man she had barely grown to love even though they shared two children together. A beautiful daughter and a handsome son whom she had when she was only fifteen, only a year after she married her husband. Sure, she cared for them as any parent would but a part of her was also deceiving them by pretending she was perfectly happy with her life. On that topic, where were her children? Her husband?
Hazel eyes opened slowly and an intense pain shot across her face and her hand jumped up to find crusted blood trailing down the side of her face. "I must have been injured in the crash.." she mumbled, most of her Russian accent dulled by her time in America. Sitting up, her back was sore and she knew she was probably bruised in some spots. Andi walked stiffly to the water's edge and knelt down, letting the water run over her hands as she brought them up to clean the blood off.
Once that task was done, she wiped the water from her face with her sleeve and stood up. Where were her children? Her hazel eyes scanned the area and soon she caught sight of her eldest child. She placed a hand over her chest in relief as one of her children was safe and seemed to be unharmed. Thank god for that. Perhaps Ashton would know where Nicole was. "Ashton!" she called out before she started in his direction. Wait, what was he looking at? Whatever it was, she had probably scared it away with her yelling. "Ashton," she said quieter as she came up next to him. "Have you seen your sister?" Andi squinted into the trees to try and spot what her son was looking at but her eyes couldn't find anything.
*It's not fair, mother!

He had been awake for a little while now as he moved through the thick underbrush of the jungle with a bow and a quiver of arrows strapped to his back for simple…safety issues. You never knew what kind of danger you could get sucked into in a place like this after all. Denny had had his fair share of close encounters with wild animals, but being a scout it was something he had to live with on a regular basis. He wasn’t the one who went out to shoot helpless animals and drag their dead carcasses back to the village, no; that was the Hunter—or rather Huntress’—job. His was much simpler…of course that was until last night rolled around. It just had been fairly simple and easy to do until he had to go around the jungle and find bits and pieces of their—get this—their village after it had been thrown around by the wind and dumped off somewhere. Yes it was the epitome of dumb when it came down to the grand scheme of things, but what was he to say. Or to do, really, other than what he had set out to do in the early morning hours. There was no point in waiting for someone to order him to do it; he knew that he was already meant to.
Denny had rounded up a small group of scouts before anyone had woken up, hoping to get the one up on the king and queen and have their stuff back before long, maybe even before they were awake. As he crawled through the thick foliage, eyes all over the trees and ferns; god forbid a monkey come and steal some of their possessions. He would needless to say be upset. The main reason the boy was already trying to get people out there, was because his house was one of the many that had been blown away, so of course he would be a little concerned in the matter and go out to find the ‘culprit’ so to speak. Put on the way out, there were some things that were did not fit there. Despite the fact that their whole village was practically scattered around the jungle, there were also some other objects. Large, hard shiny surfaces, colourful square containers that, upon further inspection did not open very easily and contained cloth, and sometimes other objects he couldn’t place for the life of him. There weren’t many of them, maybe three or four all together, but they were there and they didn’t belong.
Taking his bow and clumsily drawing an arrow—there was a reason he wasn’t a hunter—Denny moved in on the objects, waving to a few of the scouts near by, they followed the trail of abandoned cloth, containers and scuffed harder objects to the beach. He could see the outline of the beach through the trees; suddenly a man put a hand on his shoulder. “We should go back, get more of us. This stuff isn’t safe.” The man was one of the higher up Scouts; he had been around for as far as Denny was concerned, generations. But Denny? He was young, bold, and adventurous unlike the man and shook his head. “You go back, I just want to take a peak, it’s what I’m here for right?” The brunette started moving again, making his way over to the beach and looking back at the line of receding scouts. Five of them all together maybe, there might have been more there but he was too busy not paying attention to them. He could tell they weren’t happy about him going on his own, but he just wanted to see.
The closer he came; he heard voices, both familiar and unfamiliar. Pressing his back to a tree he looked out behind it, being none to sneaky. He say Pheobe, the Huntress, and Maria, who worked as the Servant to the king and queen and there daughter. Denny moved out of the trees, feeling comforted that he knew who was there. That was of course until he saw the small girl with the straw hair. He called it that because it was a faint golden colours, much like Maria’s. Only upon closer inspection he noted that it was more of an off yellow-white colour. Much too bright to be straw. He felt himself drawn to the group, walking up to Pheobe, Maria and this strange girl who wore cloth like the ones he had seen in the jungle. He didn’t say a word though as he walked up to them, he bow and quiver already strapped onto his back again, out of reach.

ρнøεвε (ℓуии) нαяяιѕ My baby's pretty as a car crash, Sexy as the stinger of a hornet in your arm, Just another modern swinger. Screaming catch me if you can with a cigarette in hand And it’s love... Phoebe's eyes narrowed at the girl. The girl's weapon dropped to the ground, making Phoebe feel more comfortable. But when the girl asked her to put her bow and arrows away, Phoebe hesitated. She looked to Maria who in return nodded. Phoebe reluctantly plucked the arrow from the string and put it in the quiver that was strapped to her back. Never letting her eyes leave the stranger, Phoebe also strapped the bow to her back. She felt exposed without the protection of her weapons. Especially when the bushes were still rustling every few minutes. Her weight shifted so that if danger came, Phoebe would be able to take on the predator with her bare hands.
The girl, she said her name was Shiloh, was very strange. What was stranger still was that she was alone, without weapons. "Why are you here?" Phoebe asked, her voice firm. Phoebe wasn't one for small talk. Her eyes scanned the trees behind the girl, once again hearing rustling nearby. As she waited for Shiloh to answer, a familiar face revealed himself. It was Denny, one of the scouts. Phoebe nodded at him, acknowledging his presence. He wouldn't be much help in a fight, but with him there, they had Shiloh three to one. The corners of Phoebe's mouth turned up slightly. The thought of a fight always made her grin.

▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄_______Λsнтσи Ξмιℓ Ϲнαиɢ_______▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ signalling to his mother to be quiet, he continued on ahead, his worry for his sister growing. It was now three verses one in the small clearing, meaning if she said one wrong thing, it was over for her most likely, and they would be next. The voices stopped, awaiting the answer of Shiloh. One of the foreign people-unless they were considered foreigners-knew he and his mother were there, but keeping silent about it. Looking to his mom, he shook his head to answer her question, carefully placing his foot away from the tree to cautiously step out. "Wait here, I'm going to ask them for help..." Whispering to her, Asch made his way into their view, holding up his hands. He didn't intend to mean harm to anyone unless they gave him that certain vibe.
"We got shipwrecked out here from the storm. I'm Ashton Chang, and I'm looking for my sister. Pint sized, brunette, long hair, brown eyes; you seen her around here?" Glancing at all three faces for the first decent chance, he realized he was most likely the oldest there. Sticking out like a sore thumb similarly to Shiloh, as he was wearing plaid shorts and a muscle top, which obviously didn't exist to these people as he glanced at the boy, Ashton glanced down to his blonde shipwrecked mate. "You okay?" Asking the brains of the ship the obvious question, the young man glanced back to where his mother should still be. If she came out, it could make the brunette feel less cocky about the situation. Numbers didn't really matter to him, or the fact that two of the outnumbering party were females. He'd just have to handle them lightly if a fight was needed.
"Come on Nicole, where are you? I can't believe I lost my sister and dad on some crazy island!" His aggravated thoughts continued in his head, despite his calm, innocent expression he was giving to the three. Hopefully, they would help in giving him a basic run down of the island so he could figure out where his baby sister went. Shaking the thoughts of the worst off with a small roll of his shoulders, he kept his gaze square at the the three with weapons. "Please, my mother and I are looking for her, and Shiloh is a friend of ours. If you could help us out, maybe bring us to town and tell us where we are, we'd be forever grateful." Quite the talker when it came down to it, high school football star gave a small glint in his eye with a desperate tone and slight pout, hoping the two girls were like the broads back home.

Shi. Loh? This is a strange one. Maria's curiousity was boiling over now, allowing her to take another step toward the young girl. Phoebe asked the question for the both of them, and Maria nodded agreeing and ushering the new presence to answer. Maria noticed the lightness of the girl's eyes as well. This had to be a stranger. One from the outside who sailed across the seas. Her people had managed to only go so far on rafts, sometimes losing one of their villagers. They had never really been off the island, but had heard many stories of giant huts made of things other then grass and wood. There were also stories of what the villagers deemed, water walls. You could see your reflection, but the walls didn't move like real water, even when you pressed yourself against them. "You...are very different Shiloh..." Maria said her words slowly, tasting the new name on her lips. It was something to adjust to. But it had a pretty ring to it.
Maria shifted her stance to see a young man step out from behind the trees. Her muscles flexed at the new sight. Women were usually easy to fight off, but it was the men—besides the valiant Phoebe—that had a better chance of winning. Although, Maria didn't feel as though this atmosphere would bring a battle, but you could never be to sure. This thought somehow brought a sudden intake of breath for the girl. She watched as the boy's mouth moved. More words. His name was Ashton Chang. Apparently these new creatures had shorter names then their people. The servant's eyes widened, understanding their tongue since it was very similar to their own. They didn't exactly use all of his words. Things like pint sized, and shipwrecked were unfamiliar to her, but she nodded. Pretty much, she could tell they were lost.
They were also looking for a girl? His kin? A sibling. Maria had not seen another wanderer, but for the most part by their subscription, she was similar to the mother and him, so she would not be hard to spot. Another wander lost in the woods was easy to find, not like an animal hiding from a hunter, but a lost cub. The Shiloh character was a friend of theirs. Well that settled things, but Maria did not know what the King would think of this. The Gods determined if the people lived or not.
Lived. That is exactly what they determined, their fate was depended on what the ones above spoke. But the King was most gracious, however in a time of sorrow and loss, it was difficult to play hosts and hostesses. Maria looked to Phoebe, and Denny, who seemed to arrive as well. Curious just as the rest of them. One thing Maria was rather unsure of, was the town. Was that a place? She decided to answer.
"Town?" Her eyes flickered a confused look, "We do not understand. But we will bring you to the King and he will discuss your presence with the Gods." Maria beckoned for the new ones. "And we will search for your kin, they will not be hard to find, if that is what is decided of course." She looked him square in the eye, before her eyes adverted to the mother who was somewhat hiding in the trees, though she was obvious. Maria wondered if these characters could keep up with them.

Nicole Chang ═════════════════════════════════════════"Mother!' a young teenage girl yelled as the ship's red light blinked. Everything seemed to be going in slow motion. The teenaer reached for teh door to her room and pulled it open. "Mother! Father! Ashton! Quickly, the girl raced down the hall, searching for her parents and brother. Where were they? "Nicole! Over here, hurrey!" a voice yelled. the girl glanced toward the voice and took off running. She saw her parents, the capitan, and a few other poeple already in the lifeboat. The teenager jumped in and sat close to her older brother. It didn't seem real as she watched the boat she had just been on, sink to the bottom of the ocean.
Brown eyes opened, as a bird began to chirp. A young teenage girl glanced around into the forest. Eighteen year old Nicole Chang touched her head with her hand and sat up. Pain shot through every muscle in her body but mostly in her head. Nikki let out a quiet groan and touched her head. She could feel a cut that ran down the right side of her face from her cheek to the top of her right eye. She glanced down at her hands to see many small cuts and dried blood, along with a large gash that ran down the side of her upper right arm. The gash still had a little fresh blood dripping down her arm but the gash was done bleeding now. Nikki reached out, with her left hand, toward a nearby tree and used it to help her stand up. Every muscle in her body seemed to scream as she forced herself to her feet. Nikki glanced around the forest, ignoring the pain in her neck.
No one seemed to be in sight. Nikki leaned up against the tree and sighed. The onyl time she had been ever been in the wilderness was when she had gone trail riding with her horse. She had no idea how to make a shelter, hunt, nothing. Her mother had always tried her to get into Girl Scouts but Nikki ahd never been interested in that kind of thing. At the moment, the eighteen year old regretted that choice completely. Then again, this was something she had always wanted to do. For years, Nicole had always wanted had begged her mother and father to move them somewhere away from the city. She hated the city, she loved the country, not the city. Now, here she was. She was in the middle of no where, yes, but Nikki was sure she could learn to survive. Besides, this place didn't seem to hard to surive in. And it wasn't like she would miss the city. She didn't have any friends there and she mostly kept to herself.
Nicole glanced up as she heard a muffled voice in the distance. Maybe it was her parents, or her brother. She opened ehr mouth and closed it right away from the pain in her jaw from the cut along her face. Nikki touched the cut and then her jaw, which felt fairly sore. Sighing, she glanced around untils he heard another voice a little closer. Even though the voice was muffled and low, Nikki knew who it was. It was the voice of her older brother, Ashton. She opened her mouth again, ignoring the pain in her jaw, and yelled, "Ashton! I'm over here!" She hoped her brother could hear her from where he was. She also hoped he could find her in this forest. Nikki reached up with her left hand and grabbed a large leaf from the tree. She slowly knelt down and started to dab the gash on her arm with the leaf. It stung like hell, but the eighteen year old just ignored it and continued to clean the large gash. Once some of the blood was off, Nikki could see that the gash was as large as it had seemed but it wasn't as deep as she thought. She needed water, though, to fully clean it. Although, she had no idea where some water was and she didn't want her family to worry if they couldn't find her. ════════════════════════════════════════════
