Kaito watched Sophie as she climbed up to the counters and slowly nodded at her request. Lights? Really? With a sigh the toddler made his way over to where the light switch was. There was just one problem. He was too short.
With a frown Kaito stood on his tip-toes and tried his best to reach the switch. Growling softly under his breath the toddler then began to try the jumping tactic. "Oof!" A small hiss of surprise left him when he miss jumped and ended up falling on his behind instead.
His tail twitched in irritation as he remembered how Sophie got onto the counter. With a grin the toddler started to push the chair towards the light. "Got it."

It hadn't hit Sophie how ridiculous her request was until Kaito started making noises. She turned around and watched him, giggling lighting as she leaned on the back of the chair. How cute! He looked like a little monkey.
When he fell, she started to go down too him, afraid of a tantrum, but was happily surprised. "Alright." Still, she hopped down from her chair, gathered the materials from the fridge and scrambled back up.
Sophie stood on her tiptoes, one knee on the countertop as she stretched for the overhead cabinets. "Mnnnnhhh." Her tongue stuck out to the side, she grasped the handle on a pan just as a tidal wave of others came flying out at her. "Watch out!" She skidded across the counter top to the wall for safety.

Victoriously Kaito flicked the light on and slowly crawled down from the chair. He gave a proud grin towards Sophie as he pushed the chair back to the table. Hah! He could figure things out too.
He was about to stand behind Sophie so he could watch what she was doing when the avalanche happened. "Eh!?" With a gasp the toddler dived away from the falling pans. In his terror he didn't even realize that a puddle of shadows had been made from the new light source, and with another startled yell he passed into them.

"Kaito?" Sophie held the pan to her chest as she moved her legs around, peeping over the edge of the counter. She breathed a sigh of relief, only to gasp when he disappeared. "Kaito?!"
She sat the pan down and grabbed the edge of her bloomers, scrambling back down the chair and onto the floor. "Where did he go? Little boys just don't disappear." If they did, her own son would have done so, right? She sat down on the floor where he'd disappeared and poked around. "Kaito? Kaito? Where are you?"
