"Oh, really?" Raha laughed, but he quickly realized that it was rude to laugh about a joke when the other one didn't know about it. "Sorry, sorry. My mate, when we first joined, had a hard time remembering everything she was learning from the teachers at her lessons, and I always wondered just how patient they needed to be. She wasn't too thrilled when I poked fun at her about it, but it's a serious job. You'll do great at it." Though she seemed shy, Raha had a hunch that once she got comfortable, she'd fit in juuuust fine.
"I'm sure Fatia would be a good practice-student, er, well, if you do decide to teach. She always needs a little recap on everything," he laughed.

Kasida managed to keep on a smile but her ears turned at the laughter. It was good natured, obviously, but it still got to her more than it should have. Her ears perked back up as he explained the difficulty his mate had had when they joined. It was a comfort to know if she did have trouble, she wouldn't be the only one. And knowing he didn't originally come from here made her like him a little more, too. He was happy, that was good.
"I'll keep that in mind," she said quietly, smiling. She was hesitant to respond to enthusiastically though she knew if she did teach that would be something to work on, too. Being in a pride was going to be a different kind of difficult.

"Great!" While he wasn't expecting a friendship, he hoped that this might also expose Fatia to other adults, and not just the kids she spent her days with. While she was growing more relaxed, she still didn't have many adults to converse with. He'd only hope, since he didn't want to push either of the lionesses to do anything they might not be comfortable with.
"Well, whenever you see me around, feel free to grab me, Kasida."

She sighed, feeling surprisingly calm and content despite being social. She just had to stop thinking about how awkward it could have been or making it seem more awkward because that.. would just make things sour fast.
"OK," she said, then glanced back off to where she had come from and up to the warm sun, "I think I'm going to head back to the temple now, it's getting warmer out here in the sun." She was a fine color to handle the sun but that didn't mean it was a great idea.

Raha understood. He had been out here a little longer than planned, but he couldn't resist. That sun was nice, even if it was starting to get a little warm. "Sure. I'll see you later. If you happen to run into Peribsen at the temple, say hi for him? It's been a while since I've seen him."

Peribsen. Right. She doubted she would, but she smiled and nodded anyway. Then she turned herself around, a more difficult task than it should have been for her but she was still adjusting to the sand- and her limp didn't help.
"Have a good afternoon, Raha," she said, then headed back toward the temple.
