DNA Parents:Parent 1~! Parent 2~! Child's Name: Lórien (( 'God of Dreams' )) Child's Gender: Male Child's Appearance: (Though I would say that his hair is whiter than the first parent's and has the faint showing of the second parent's hair coloring. He's also pretty feminine looking for a boy. :3 ) Child's Personality: Lórien isn't much of an overly loud child - rather he's the one you would find trying to sneak off by himself in a large gathering of people. Lórien doesn't mean to seem so antisocial, but he just feels odd around others - probably shy. Though it could be the fact that it's in his nature to be able to feel/see the desires of others (thanks to his heart breaker demon father and elemental mother) and the poor boy just doesn't know really how to cope with it. Most often people call him either a spacey/day dreamer type of child or just an antisocial odd ball.
Once you get through the tough, spacey outer shell though you can see a kind soul inside. If only he'd stop writing in some hiding place and talk more! Prompt:
A crowd, music, games, people actively chasing each other with laughter, cake, and gifts - it was definitely a birthday party. A fun one at that. But still...
Lórien felt completely out of place here.
He hadn't wanted to come - well maybe he had been tempted, but still! - yet Mom and Dad had made him come here to this place. They said it was good for him to get out, to explore the world and make friends. ((Or in his father's case - find victims friends for special things, luckily Lórien had no idea what that meant besides breaking hearts and he didn't want to do that. Breaking hearts was mean.))
Anyways here he was - sitting alone in the darkest corner that he could find in the house. While everyone else partied and played games, Lórien had started to write in his journal.
FUN. LOTS OF IT. HOPE. FUN. SPECIALLY FOR THE GIRL.
He looked up as the birthday girl stood beside her parents who announced that it was time to open presents. Closing his journal, Lórien scooped up the sleeping imp that his father had given him as a pet and headed towards the edge of the gathering crowd of kids.
"Oh, hey!" A boy grinned at Lórien, "I didn't see ya here before!"
Lórien flushed and mumbled something along the lines of just arriving to the party - though that wasn't technically a lie. He wasn't apart of any of the actual event until just now.
"Cool. Though ya missed some wicked games." The older boy grinned, " The girls probably could have used ya. Boys totally outnumbered 'em." He chuckled as he explained the context of the game and exaggerated the outcome to Lórien who was especially flushing for being taken as a girl - again.
"Hey! She's opening the last one!" A girl elbowed the boy - Markus- to keep him quiet as they all peered up.
Suddenly Lórien had a clenching feeling in his stomach. He'd forgotten to get her a gift! That wasn't good - he had meant too. What could he...with a small smile the boy slipped from the crowd and back into the shadows of his hiding spot and waited.
"He-hello." Lórien peeked out when most of the crowd was gone and waved sheepishly to the birthday girl. "I - I need....to...to-"
The girl sighed, "Needed ta wha? Congrats me for my day?" When she saw Lórien flinch back her gaze softened. "Sorry. I just...I guess I'm disappointed is all."
"Why?" Lórien stepped closer to her and reached out softly. "Oh. No bunny?"
"Ho-how?" The girl blinked wide eyes, "I never told anyone 'bout that but mommy!" She sniffed and wiped at her eyes, "Bunbun left so Mommy told me last week. I dinna wanna admit it, but I reawy miss Bunbun!"
"Really?" Lórien smiled shyly and pulled the fluffy white feather that was always in his hair. "I cans write Bunbun for you."
"Eh?" The girl frowned but gave a slight nod. What did he mean he could write Bunbun?
Closing his eyes to reveal the silver-white markings that he had inherited from his mother, Lórien started to write in the air. Surprisingly enough shimmering golden letters swirled from his feather and the girl could easily read what he was writing!
BunBun come home!
Opening his eyes Lórien smiled to see the girl cuddling a fat gray rabbit with black spots. "Bunbun!" She sniffed and reached out to hug Lórien who promptly flushed a deep red and nearly forgot to breath while she thanked him with a small kiss to the cheek. "Thank you!"
"We-welcome." Still flushing the boy waved as he turned to leave for home. A small smile lingered on his face. He had done it after all! Lórien laughed softly as he ran towards his home past the park. He couldn't wait to write it all down!

<3 Parent number two!!
Quote: 92.
DNA Parents: They's both upward. <3 507 & 92. Child's Name: Meliora: Modern English name derived from the Latin word meliora, meaning "always improving." Child's Gender: Female Child's Appearance:
Child's Personality: Meliora is accident-prone. Moreso than they usually come. If she's dressed for rain, the sun is shining full-blast. If she's dressed for sun and wonderful weather, there's a hurricane. She has such terrible luck that it could practically be considered a curse. That, or a blessing for everyone else, who can predict the weather by the way she's dressed. There are times that this will depress the girl, but she's usually relatively happy, and always optimistic. After all, what is there in this world to be sad about? Certainly not a few silly coincidences!! Prompt:
Meliora could never express how happy she was about the day that had come around. After all, she had just reached her first year of life! From what she'd seen of her guardian's birthday, that meant that she was going to get cake and ice cream and a lot of people would show up and give her presents and talk about how great she was! What better kind of holiday could there be than that?! Giggling happily to herself, the centauress trotted down the hallway to her guardian's room, her tail twitching excitedly behind her.
When she reached the room, she was as quiet as a mouse in opening the door, sneaking in stealthily and not seeming very concerned with the fact that her guardian was in bed with someone else - a girl she'd seen a few times but didn't really know all that well. She stepped lightly into the room, sneaking up behind her daddy and smiling widely as she ducked down before jumping her front hooves up onto the bed and shouting, "GOOD MORNING, DADDY!!"
But as was the story of her life, this was not the right choice of action. Hexa shot up in bed, eyes immediately zoning in on the little girl, what was almost a snarl painted across his tired face. "Mey! What are you doing in here so early?! You should knock when you enter someone's room, it's what I do when I go into your's!!" he exclaimed angrily, the girl already having backed off of and away from his bed, firey eyes pooling with tears.
The Eilian didn't even get to finish yelling at the female before she'd already run off, sobbing quietly as she dove back into her room. Her hands dove to the first thing that she could find that was good for her: her drawing pad. With a shaky smile, she tried to draw something, only to get fed up with that and sob harder, throwing it against the wall and taking an Etch-a-Sketch instead, furiously twisting the knobs to make an odd design across it. As she calmed, she made the scribble more and more detailed, until it looked vaguely like a dinosaur, her tears dried.
A gentle rapping came at the door then, and the little centaur glanced up from her 'drawing'. "Come in...!" she called hesitantly, smiling a bit when her guardian walked through the door in a robe, taking a seat on the edge of the bed.
"Hey, hunny. What'cha got there?" he asked wearily, looking over at the Etch-a-Sketch with what may or may not have been false interest. She showed him and the hybrid smiled sweetly. "Good job. Better than anything I can do on one'a those," he said with a soft laugh.
Meliora smiled faintly in response and went back to her silly picture, trying to improve little things about it. Hexa sighed. "Listen, Mey, I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to snap at you like that, I was just surprised is all. Surprised and... well, I had company, so I was a little startled for you walking in without asking. That's all, hun. You're not in trouble or anything. Besides, we've got a party to throw this afternoon, don't we?" he asked with a grin.
The grin was transferred onto the little girl's face as she bounced for a moment before squealing and latching onto her dad happily. He hadn't forgotten!! Yay!!
It took the whole morning to get her party ready, but finally everything was in place. She was in a sort-of dress, one that fit her centaurian body well. There were balloons all over the little meeting area in the park that they'd borrowed, along with a large cake made from scratch and party favours and food and a pinata and everything that was wonderful about a party!! Even the guests were starting to arrive!!
But then there was, of course, something to make that worse. The more people who showed up, the darker the sky got. Hexa noticed, but he kept his mouth shut, hoping that the party would go along perfectly fine as long as he didn't jinx it. But that wasn't the case. That was never the case.
Everything was going along swimmingly, the kids all singing Happy Birthday to the birthday girl, who looked absolutely, overwhelmingly ecstatic. When the song finished, she opened her mouth, sucked in a deep breath-
And then the rain came.
And it wasn't just a few droplets.
No, it was torrents, absolute buckets of rain pounding down on them, putting out all the candles and ruining the cake as the kids around Meliora squealed and ran for shelter. The girl just sat there, staring at her ruined cake as her eyes filled with tears, a few moments passing before she burst out sobbing, turning and running off into the deeper part of the park.
"Mey!! Meliora, where are you?!" Hexa shouted, soaked with rain, along with a chorus of other voices. They'd been searching for a long time now, getting onto an hour and a half, but they weren't going to give up. Finally, however, the little centaur was spotted, and the group ran over, Hexa kneeling near her and hugging the teary girl close.
"My p-p-party w-was r-r-ruined!!" she wailed pathetically, sniffling against her daddy's sad excuse for a parka. He shook his head, petting her long wet hair softly.
"No, baby, your party wasn't ruined. Lookit, everyone's still here. They all stayed to make sure that you had a good time, right?" he assured her, smiling at the group, who all nodded together, a murmur of approval rippling through them. She looked up at the lot.
"B-b-but the cake got all messied up... a-and the presents are wet... a-and the pinata-"
"Baby, birthday's aren't about all that. They're about the ones you love celebrating you still being around a year after you were born. We don't need presents or cake or food," he said, snuggling the girl close, a slow smile crossing her face. "It's about celebrating with the ones you love. So what do you say, do you want to celebrate with the ones who love you?"
"'K-kay..." Meliora murmured, wiping at her eyes. "But only on o-one condition."
"What's that?"
"Ice cream."

DNA Parents: Up above!! Child's Name: Cælius Child's Gender: Male Child's Appearance:
Child's Personality: Cælius is extremely arrogant, self-centered, and self-righteous. He has been led to believe since his adoption that he is decedent from royalty, with no help from his overly-imaginative father. That is to say, his guardian told him stories about his parents and his birth every night for, well, since the night that he got him, when the boy was having trouble going to sleep. Of course, when that worked, he took it a step further and decided to make little books about these 'parents' that he'd made up for Cælius to read to him at bedtime and teach him to read with. But, the boy took it a step too far, demanding high-class clothing that the gypsy-pirate couldn't quite afford. That, and then he started acting like a prince and behaving in the most annoying manner.
Prompt: Cælius did not seem happy when he and his father returned to the boat that evening. Two large paper bags in hand, the little blonde boy hopped onto the largest of the riverboats, looking furious over something.
"Cælius, what is wrong? What are you so upset about?" Erruki asked as he followed after his son, looking very confused as he carried in the bulk of the groceries. They filed down into the galley, the young boy taking the lead and looking extremely irate about all of it. As they entered, the child's sentient hair lifted from where it had been resting and slammed the door in his father's face. A smirk played across his lips at the crashing sounds of much of the food falling to the ground and the stairs beyond the door.
As the young boy stepped further into the rather large kitchen, he placed the bags he'd gotten onto the table in its center. The uneven movement which the large riverboat was showing caused the boy to accidentally tip one of the bags, spilling out frosting as well as two boxes of candles. He frowned at this and shook his head, starting to unload the bags properly with the help of his long, curled tendrils of hair. When the door was slammed back open, he jumped a bit, but didn't even spare Erruki a glance, continuing with his sorting of foodstuffs.
"Cælius, what was that about?! Cælius, what are you so upset about?! Cælius!!" Erruki questioned and shouted as he half-stormed around the kitchen, needing to throw out what had broken in the fall as well as putting away the rest of what the two of them had gotten. When he still received no answer, the man moved behind his child, grabbing him by the shoulders and spinning him around, the boy's reddish blonde hair latching onto his wrists and hands threateningly. "Cæ. Li. Us. What. Is. Wrong?"
Cælius' small hands curled into fists and he growled softly, not an atypical thing for the cocky child to do, tendrils of hair steadily gathering around Erruki's wrists. When finally there was enough strength gathered by the child's mountains of hair, he lifted his hands to his guardian's arms as well, turning his nose up dismissively as he threw the hands off of his shoulders in a seemingly effortless manner.
"You forgot Mother and Father's birthday," he stated, angrily and matter-of-factly, sharply turning around and continuing to do what he could at the too-tall counter to make a cake. Hence the ingredients, as one may have guessed. But it was hard work - there were no step-stools, nothing to help him work, and he wasn't even shoulder-level with the counter. He was forced to stand on his tiptoes, arms outstretched, hair working as well to try and eliminate too much mess.
But of course it wasn't working. Erruki, put in his place, wasn't able to do a lot but sit and watch, putting things away more quietly and feeling ashamed that he'd filled the poor kid's head with lies since the moment that he'd taken him under his wing. More and more frustrated noises came from the dark-skinned boy as time went on, whimpers and pitiful, tragic sounds coming after those. Finally, it was obvious he had broken down into tears, everything a mess in his pathetic attempts to bake something when he'd never even made his own breakfast.
The quiet sobs turned loud within no more than a moment, causing Erruki to wince as the child stormed away, running off and into the room that they shared, throwing himself melodramatically onto his bed, sobbing hard into the bedding. His golden locks raised up from the ground and the bed, gently stroking the child's crying face as he wiped at his tears roughly with his own hands. Steadily, he grew more calm, whimpering quietly to himself as his sentient pieces of hair brushed against his cheeks comfortingly.
It was a long time before he was able to go back downstairs again, and by the time he was able to return to the galley, he was angry once again. Cælius stormed into the room, face still stained with tears, hair aiding him in slamming the door open, eyes sharp and immediately angry. "Erruki, you didn't even co--"'
He stopped then, silenced by what he found. On the counter in front of him were two cakes, candles lit, a very messy Erruki standing with a sad-looking smile on his face. Immediately, the boy's eyes were filled with tears and he let out a choked sob, running toward his guardian, diving against his legs and hugging him tightly. Like the father that he promised he would be, Erruki scooped his son up into his arms, nuzzling him gently and laughing softly at all the tears, cat ears flicking gently.
"You cry a lot, baby boy," he said softly, giving a smile and petting the child's hair as the hair pet him back. "And I'm sorry I forgot their birthdays, but it's nothing to cry about. Especially since I fixed it, right? It's all better now, hm?"
The young child sniffled, sobbing quietly before he gave a very small smile up to Erruki. "I-I know that th-th-that they're n-not re-eal..." he muttered softly under his breath, causing a heartbroken smile to appear on Erruki's face.
"You... you did?" Erruki replied in a nervous stammer, hugging the boy a bit closer and chuckling awkwardly. "Wow, I... sorry, Lia. I..." he gave his son a bit of a brighter smile, flicking his black tail, nuzzling against him a bit. "But it's not too bad, right?"
Cælius gave a cute little smile, wiping at his eyes, then his nose, then sniffling and nodding. "MmHmm. 'Cause I have you for a Daddy, instead."

Parent 2 DNA Parents: The two above this line. Child's Name: Avida Child's Gender: Female Child's Appearance: Child's Personality: Friendly and shy, she'll avoid people if she can help it. Prompt: Avida sat in the corner of the living room, her attention on a picture. Though part of her attention was being stolen away by the pair that seemed to argue about something that either could agree with. Nicca was slightly red faced, the wings in his head twitched as he was close to losing his temper with Coral. "We are having an All Hallows' Eve theme to the party, not an pool party theme," he didn't like water and their daughter could barely swim as it was. "Besides, how is she supposed to swim when she still needs water wings?" Coral on the other hand was still very calm, just being stubborn about the fact that her daughter being part fish like her would be covered if they had a pool party theme along with a pool to go with it. The couple couldn't seem to decide, but they spent hours fighting over it. It wasn't until dinnertime while everyone ate that Avida spoke up about the party idea. "I want a Halloween pool party," she said with a grin and then went on to explain what she wanted done for the water. "I want the water dyed orange and the pool painted black with white angelfish drawn on the sides. I want fish served as the meal and a black and orange cake for the birthday cake," she didn't stop talking, not seeing the looks on her parents' faces. Both parents groaned and sweated dropped as they would have a lot to do if they did the party the way their daughter wanted. "How about we just have a small party inside with some of her friends over for a movie and cake and ice cream?" Nicca suggested and Coral agreed, thinking that it took less time to set up and clean up.
