He chuckled as he was able to read her well and proudly puffed out his chest and crossed his arms, smirking. "Pfft...I don't see how it would affect you too much..me on the other hand..."he glanced down towards his shorts for a moment before putting on a sheepish smile. "Probably better if we both wear clothes I suppose" he commented as he took one paw and rubbed the back of his head nervously.
Then she took off towards the shop to what he supposed was grabbing her things. "Don't forget sunblock!" he shouted. He could care less about how well his arms tanned, but the rest of him didn't.
While he waited for her return, he picked up his badge and gun holster, which obviously contained his gun, and pocketed them. He hopped he wouldn't forget about it before getting in the water

Shaking her head as she ran up the stairs and slipped inside she was thankful that the shop was indeed cleared out and that all seemed well. Tossing the bowl and measuring cups into the sink, Kay then opened her locker to quickly shove some things into the bag and take a few out...oddly enough having sunblock from when she was human and tossed it into the bag. A few water bottles and fruit later (and a trip to the bathroom to get on her suit) she came back down the stairs dressed in simple jean capris and a teeshirt.
"Done and done! Ready?" She beamed and headed down the path, putting the shoulder strap on the small duffel and slung it over her shoulder. "C'mon Banes!" She called back, tail swaying happily behind her; hopefully it wasn't too busy...but it wasn't the closest lake and with the abundance of them around she was sure it wouldn't be crazy crowded like the ones back at home.

Noticing that she was fast approaching, he quickly patted his pockets to make sure he had everything, then turning abruptly and taking off after her.
Wanting to make small talk since he had a feeling that the swimming destination was a fair distance, he pondered a decent question to ask. "Do anything interesting lately" he wondered, seeing if he can get to know the vixen a bit better

Once Banes caught back up with her she took down her pace to match his, often walking fast believing she had the long legs she used to. Luckily he too had a good pace that she could easily slide into sync with. Caught a bit offguard by his small talk, but by no means undesired; she looked down at the burn mark once more and smiled.
"Actually, yes, yes I have. I met a Ninja; who ended up saving me from Hoshi - you remember the shadow creature right? Anyways...who knew he goes psycho out at night. Got poisioned...faced one of those...robot guys who thought I was an Autobot, found a few raves, dances...whatever you wanna call them....and of course work. Its been a little hectic being on little sleep and having those things happen but hey; im still here ain't I?" She chuckled and adjusted the strap. "Its been....eventful. It'll be nice to have a slower change of pace with this next week off."

Looking straight ahead, his eyes were focused on the path, but he was still just as focused on on what she said. He was surprised that not only did the strange demonic fox he had met attacked her, but was also surprised that she met Snake eyes and Shadow Blitz, and of course going through everything else. He nodded when she had finished
"Oh yes..that is quite hectic, but the slow week will help" he said with a smirk. "I'm shocked though. Shadowblitz? He's intense...lacking in his days, but still..." he trailed off remembering the day he tried to push the mechanical fox out of the shop as per rule. Never again will he try that.

"Is it? He tried to follow me to the rave I was going to...and then went tearing out. I dunno...He didn't seem so bad after he was convinced this fleshy body held no metal." Hell, she hasn't even broken a bone let alone could morph into anything. "Yet I don't think i'd enjoy getting on his bad side, to tell the truth." Putting a paw through her hair she laughed, continuing down the path.
"What have you been doing? I haven't seen you around the shop much." She noted, nudging his arm with her elbow. "Up to no good I suppose?" Waving a paw to indicate she was obviously joking, she put her free paw into her jean pocket.

"Well you know...tortured soul and all that. I don't know that much about him...but I do know that it is a bad thing to be on his bad side. " "He grumbled just ever so slightly. His only encounter with the mech was probably biased, but he didn't care.
He chuckled "You know it" he winked and smoothed his hair with a contented look on his face. But he quickly tossed that aside and went to something of a more serious side. "Actually I've been trying to investigate on possible cosmic activities. A couple of nights ago, something of a meteor crashed somewhere in this forest. I 've been trying to find it, but with no luck. I guess it could be nothing" he shrugged and put his hands in his pockets as well

"Mmm....personal experience? You seem to be a hit or a miss with first impressions you know." Laughing softly, she could smell the lake from here as they walked; it had been far too long since she went for a swim it could have been considered sin.
"A meteor? Seriously? Was it big?" She asked, rather curious. She'd never seen anything from space....well, prior to coming here which seemed to have an abundance of aliens and strange foxes. "Maybe get someone who can fly to check the treetops? If it crashed it had to have left some sort of impact or path of destruction before coming to a stop?" The vixen offered, keeping straight down the trail as she looked over to him.

"Personal experience is putting it nicely. There's a law at the shop set up by...lord knows who, and that law has almost outlawed the species of Cybertronians...particularly violent Decepticons." he explained. He knew well she wouldn't know what that was, but he had to explain it numerous times before, today might have been no different.
"I don't know if it was a meteor...it was too..." he paused trying to find a good word, but failed at describing it since it was so brief that a single blink would have made one miss the event. "...I guess...Abnormal for a meteor. It flew as it had a purpose." he remembered seeing the thing appear to crash towards the planet but then suddenly veered and flew above the treetops...very unnatural. "I've tried everything to find it. Rod and I can't find a trace of the thing" it was perplexing. The only thing they had found where sudden creatures that were either dead from an unknown cause or were mutated in some strange way. But knowing little about cosmic energy, he never truly questioned it

Nodding her head, she tried to listen as well as she could for not understanding most of it...but it did make sense. Shadow couldn't make it into the kitchen door; let alone if he decided to get roudy in there.
"Well....I will keep an ear out for you. Surely someone will have seen something or have some kind of lead for you and...Rod?" She could only assume he was another officer. "If not maybe we can gather some more for a search party!" It wasn't like she was doing anything this week, she would be happy to help. However, as the path began to break off to the beach and lake ahead she broke out in a huge smile. "We're here!" She beamed and gave him a playful shove on the shoulder before jogging ahead as her paws transitioned from dirty to sand as she stopped just short of the water. "Ahhhh, so lovely!" She dropped the bag at her feet and stretched her arms out, enjoying the warmth of the sun.

"Rod is another officer" he quickly explained. "And more investigations will be needed, but right now we need a lead. We scoured the entire forest and found nothing more than what I told you about." he paused to listen.
"If you want to help, that'd be great...a fresh eye to the scene could pick up stuff we've missed" he was about to ask when, but he forgot about everything once he heard the words 'we are here'
He looked over and saw the sparkling lake ahead, quickly stripping his shirt off and taking the gun and badge out of his pockets. "Come on!" he said as he ran towards the water, quickly diving in and floating on his back

Smiling happily it was just as beautiful as she remembered in the night time as it was in the day; it had been such a great spot to cool down from dancing that she knew she had to come back for a swim. Simply glad she finally kept through with her promise to herself. Yipping slightly as she didn't expect Banes to run so fast beside her and charge into the water she backed a bit to get the stuff away from the splash zone.
"I'm coming!" Kay called back, pulling off her tee and capris and folded them nearly to set on the sand. She took off her large hoop earrings to avoid losing them and zipped the bag back up to keep the water cool inside. Turning back to the water she realized it would be a bit difficult without a dock to run off of...she'd be getting in forever otherwise. Placing a paw over her eyes she looked around the lake and saw a leaning tree off to the side with a grin. "Perfect."
Jogging over, she gave a few heart pushes to make sure it wouldn't collapse from her wight, satisfied it was too heavily rooted to cause the large tree's downfall. Using her small claws she climbed along the slanted trunk with ease till she was standing well above the water. Looking down she couldn't see the bottom of the faily clear water; hoping there was a dropoff but none the less knew she would dive. "Here I go!" She called out, running off the branch and jumping as far as she could before she dove under the surface, noting it was too deep to hit when she was under water before breaking the surface. "Bbrrrrrrr nippy!" She laughed, swimming back towards the beach and the floating Banes.

Rolling over to his belly and quickly treading water, he watched as the vixen ran over to a large tree, tested it, then climbed it, and then jumped in. He shook his head. "Show off" he commented as nodded a little bit watching as she floated over to his direction.
"Well yeah! It's a lake silly! Not an indoor pool" he mused as he dove underwater, only to face a fish who freaked and swam off with purpose. Had he the courage, he would have left the safety of the shoreline and tried to catch it. But the one thing he never liked was open opaque spaces such as that can be found in very deep water. He found that out through the test of video games
Swimming back to the surface, he felt the sand beneath his feet and pushed up to stand along the bottom. He let out a sigh of a relief as he now stood in 3 feet of water

Swimming untill she reached the shallow waters, she looked around for Banes as he'd gone under the water. She didn't see him for a few moments and swam further in till she was sitting comfortably up to her shoulders in water. Once he had surfaced rather quickly and made sure his feet were touching she tilted her head curiously....was that relief on his face?
"Well I know its not, but I thought it would be warmer with all this fur..." She stuck out her tongue in his direction, removing an elastic band she usually kept on her wrist to tie up her hair in a pony tail to keep it out of her face. "Besides....if I didn't show off it would have taken me forever to get in. I'd rather jump off docks to get it over with but without one....the tree had to do. Besides, i'm safe to assume you'd probably try and splash me while I was inching in..." Smirking as she was fairly confident she was correct, she tilted her head back to take in the warm sun. Now that she was used to it, the water felt so blissful.
Besides, she was having too much fun with swishing her tail back and forth in the water...finding it to tickle pleasantly as the fur flowed in the gentle current the movement created.

He looked around for her, and found that she was behind him, in the deeper water where he wouldn't go, especially with knowing where the drop off was.
"Maaaayyybee" he said with a shifty look. Being that type of person, it was more than likely that he would try to splash her, but...she had yet to give him the opportunity.
He moved into the water a bit until he was at a comfortable height and then he planted his bottom on the lake's sand, leaving only his head sticking out of the water. It was comfortable...and safe from the deep end
