((You can call him Reich. *sigh* I'm so use to writing fanfiction that I'm not sure if this is too long or not!!))
((I guess we do need to shorten our posts just a little bit, but I think we are doing a great job so far! ok, so the other king is Reich, and good so far!))

The lovely night time sky reached over the land, it was much quieter than the day had been, Hope walked back to the servant quarters.
She rubbed her belly where she felt some movement, her baby.
Around the corner into a lonely hall, and the first door was her small room.

Iden was in the study, another "Lesson " was being taught.
He sighed noisily, and the tutor looked up, " Are You SURE YOU UNDERSTAND THIS?"

Iden responded, " Every colour has a name, Everyone shares that bond, yet, what for a name that the girl hath not have, weeping she holds the Flower, it has a name."

"Bah, Alright then, no more poetry, Don't forget we also have the lovely princess from Aloura coming tomorrow." tutor said.

Iden headed for the Door, the escape.
Not his escape from reality.

Eliztree' smoothed out her skirt as she sat in the softened leather seat of her royal carriage. She looked up, into her Knight eyes. Yes, Her Personal Knight, Kalin was always by her side.

Kalin met his Mistress's eyes and smiled with a pained look hidden in his eyes. He wished she did not have to marry this lucky fool from Osgiliath. The Prince was to marry his Princess. To fufill the peacetreaty, the Princess of Aloura must Marry the Prince of Osgiliath. The thought of losing His Lady Eliztree' forever, so he may be demoted to Gaurd was depressing. ....Ahh....If only the law were different....

Eliztree' noticed the hurt in her knoght's eyes, but did not understand. She was told by her father to never ask a knight his problems, for it is a Knight's job to take care of other's problems. .....Oh...If it weren't for my father's words.... She looked out at the grounds. They would be nearing the Castle of Osgiliath in an hour.

It was raining in the Kingdom of Osgiliath, matching the mood Iden had inside him.
That princess was coming, and he wasn't even informed of her name. He was to.....wed her?
But Iden is a guy who has manners. A gentleman.
Iden shifted his arm on the window still, where the sound of rain drenched the outside world.

The rain reminded him of that horrible day when....
Blood. A blood-stained Father, the King. Why had they..?
His eyes watered. Only if, he..he would have..

"Sir! There you are! You can't just run off, you need to be properly dressed for the meeting of the GIRL!" another servant to destroy his thoughts..
"You can't just run off! Come! Quickly! If your Mother would have heard of this..."

Hope had been working in the kitchens, but one of the cooks let her have a break, due to 'burden', the baby. She sat on a bench outside the kitchens way, thinking of what to name the child.
Iden obediently followed the servant.

“Hey! You there!” Drought shouted to a young knight in training who was passing by him.

“Yes, sir?” He said, looking up cautiously at the older man.

“You think you can do me a favor? Can you get an assassin to come down here and help me with something?”

The knight just looked up at him with confusion, “But, sir, I- I really don’t know where to find one.”

Drought just sighed and shooed the knight off, and went to look for an assassin. It was rather simple, but he did not blame the young lad for his naïve nature; he was only a novice. There were few assassins during the first grand war, even fewer now. They had been recruiting like wild fire to gain some reliable warriors, but since most of the assassins were teaching the novices there were few to protect the city. This is where all the knights came in. Once Masyaf was a glorifying city of grand assassins, only called forth to the most demanding of missions, now a city relied on the help of knights from a lesser area.

He saw something in one of the city’s mages, a younger girl; Sait. So he took her and trained her, but it proved difficult. Drought could not just spit her into the mess of novice training, she would be mutilated. But once she could grasp the skill of an assassin, she would be influential. Being a mage, one of lesser strength but greater attunement to the elements and command of sorcery, she would be a grand find with the assassins.

Then maybe, just maybe, they could use her to bring back the glory of Pheodar. But now, it seemed, their hope was lost. Even though Sait wished to be trained, even though he knew not why, she was terrible. He had to take a different approach.

So Drought was going to get some help.

He was in the busy market place, so he made his way up into the inner courtyard, where men could be seen sparring.

“Ah! Master Drought! Care to join us in an afternoon spar?” Called one of the grander assassins, one who trained the novices.

“No, Rafik, I have a favor to ask of you. But first, let’s talk.”

He was late, Sait thought.

She was perched on her usual rock in the middle of the meadow. It was afternoon, and Drought said that he wanted to see her during that time until she could properly wield a blade. But he was late, and he was never late.

Sait hopped off from her position on the rock and made her way back to Masyaf. It took a good chime before she crept past the first patrol of guards and made her way into the market place. She started looking around, trying to see if he was there.

She spotted a knight looking though some clay pots and went over to him and tapped him on his shoulder. When he turned around she smiled politely at him.

“Have you recently seen a knight about yeh high,” She indicated the height as far as she could reach, even on her toes, “with brown hair and armor on?”

He just grinned at her, “Lass, that’s describing all of us. What’s his name?”

Sait blushed at him, “Drought.”

“Ah! Drought. My young apprentice,” he indicated to the younger lad at his side, “just said that he came lookin’ for some assassins to talk to. No doubt business related. Go check up at the trainin’ ring up the hill.”

She didn’t know that the knight had an odd twinkle in his eye.

She nodded thankfully, and jogged to where the knight pointed out to. She turned the corner and saw Drought at the corner of her eye, talking to an aging man in dark robes. She was about to call him out on his abandonment when she heard what was said.

“Stop treating her like a tool! You have to think,” the older man exclaimed at Drought’s remark, but Sait did not hear what it was, “If she is to be trained in our way, don’t you think you have to know them? Or the knight’s ways? And you’re what? Thinking you’re either? Bring me the lass and I’ll see what can be salvaged from her talents.”

This was ended with a glare, but Sait stood in horror. He wasn’t an assassin? Wasn’t even a knight? Then what was he? She turned on her heel and ran.

After quite a while of travel Eliztree' began to yawn. Kalin noticed and suggested rest. "Princess, It is quite appropriate to sleep for a small amount of time before we arrive." He smiled at her, for reassurance.

Eliztree', tired from the morning's primping to meet the Prince, looked over at her almost tireless knight. She understood his concern but instead of shooing it accepted it. "Very well..." She matched his warm smiled, then leaned over and rested on the padded inside of the carriage.

Kalin watched as his Princess drifted off to sleep. He saw a large cloud over the nearing castle and shut the rain cover over the edge of the carriage. He sat feeling more on edge than he already did. ....She will meet her fated husband in less than an hour....If only those blasted laws...

Iden was simply dashing in elegance in his attire. Servants came and went for his bidding, He was used to this kind of pamper.
He was also used to work, he wasn't fat and lazy like his mother,
Iden trained very hard almost each day on his sword work and battle skills.
The rain had lessened only a little since it had began, Iden sighed, he hoped the rain would vanish soon, this day should be a bright, happy day, not a bland ,grey day.

Hope stood outside the servants quarters, then made her way to the front of the main hall.
Many Guests will be arriving soon, and I'd better hurry!
She caught sight of a carriage a good distance away by looking out a window.
The Queen also wants her tea, I must get that also..

((I'll try to make them shorter, but I'm leaving them spaced for easy reading.))

By the time Sait reached her house in the village outside the city walls she was barely winded, which she silently thanked Drought for- but then cursed him. She sprinted inside like Coldwarg were on her heels and slammed the door closed. She leaned against it and soon her legs caved out underneath her and she slid down.

'Drought lied?' Sait thought, 'About what? Everything? Is that why I failed? Brother said that the way of the Knights was hard, and that's obviously what he's been teaching me, but he said that they were understandable.'

Hours passes as she sat on the floor before she decided to make some tea. After lighting a fire in the fireplace and putting a kettle on top, her stomach also decided it was time to eat as well.

Sait went outside and looked around; it was sundown and no one was there. Oh, well. She jogged down the dirt path and hopped the fence to a small orchard and plucked a few ripe apples from the trees. She was just about to mosey along until she was startled by the orchard keeper popping his head out of his hut window to see who was there.

"Sir Greal, good evening. How are you?" she said after composing herself.

"Sait, m'girl! I was wonderin' what the rumpus was. I could have sworn some that nasty old badger was back to steal m'pumpkins again. Bad business those badgers," he trailed off, shaking his head, before he went back inside. Sait almost thought that was a dismissal, but Sir Greal came limping outside on a cane.

"About that earlier question, I'm doing good. But those badgers, ever since the Coldwarg disappeared they've been populatin' like my mother's bad cookin'. Mystery is how they got the dumb idea to come and eat m'crops! Stupid, I tell you. Or smart..."

As he prattled on Sait took a bite of apple, the old retired Knight was known to talk a lot. But even though most of it was either junk or nonsense she liked to listen to him talk, his accent showed his origins from Aloura and his way of speaking brought back memories of her past.

The main Hall was Extravagant in decor and servants were rushing to and fro, getting ready for the arrival of the guests.
People, namely just royal families, were coming and a 'welcome' party was to be held.

Iden sat in a window sill, and he saw a certain carriage pull up, marked with symbol of Aloura.
