Hyouton Nero | Genin | Kirigakure "If it can be done...  Nero raised an eyebrow. "Great...another one of those people. Believe me....if you were good enough at whatever it is you do, to address me as kid, you wouldn't be stuck on a mission with a Genin." He said, emotionless. There was almost no tone to his statement, and he continued to walk forward, not even looking at the Axel.
He despised being called kid. He hated it more than anything, because it meant they thought they were better than him. Nobody ever saw him walking around saying "Sup, Adult." It just didn't happen. As far as he was concerned, it was condescending, and showed a lack of class.
"Besides...you're the slowpoke. Not me. I didn't even want to get out of bed this morning, yet here I am, stuck babysitting for an incapable shinobi, who just so happens to be a bit older than me." Nero said, yawning.
"Besides...we're on the same mission. The Kage sent you to do the exact same thing as me, so obviously, you're either underestimating me, or you're over-estimating yourself. Or the Kage thinks you're of the same level as me. All of which are probably true." He said, still not making eye contact.
He continued to walk through the mist, boredly. He wasn't in a good mood. He wanted to be back at the gate actually helping, not on a recruiting mission of no importance. They could get it done with just them...they had capable hands, and the Kage helping. They had no need for more people...at least as far as Nero thought, they didn't.

XXXXX"Hey kid, turn around, I want to see your face when I beat some manners into you," Axel called out to him as he cracked his knuckles. If this boy was talking to Zane, his brother would have killed him where he stood without warning. He had already had pent up frustration and anger from having to deal with Deil as Mizukage, not being able to go out of the village on the scouting missions that he enjoyed doing and having to leave his girlfriend's side just so that he can listen to some punk talking to him as if he were some lowly genin. As he held his fists at his side, chakra began pulsing wildly in his hand as he held it up in front of him, a ball of pure fire hovering above his palm as he manipulated his elemental chakra. To his knowledge, Sosay and himself were the only two fire elementalists in the entire village, oddities themselves considering the Mist Village was well known for its suiton users. "You say that I'm both underestimating you, and overestimating myself...well then go ahead, prove to me my mistakes and errors in judgement, or else you shut up and listen to your elders, it's your choice," he stated simply, an impish grin etched upon his face. { OcC: }Chakra Points: 42/44

The red glow of fire diverted Deil's attention to Axel's flaming palm. He had thought them to just be bickering over nothing, but it was obvious now that things ran the risk of escalating too far. "Axel-san...." he said with a stern but calm voice, indicating with his hand for Axel to lower his own and extinguish its flame. His eyes then shifted to Nero, and his arm returned to resting on his knee. "Hyouton Nero, Axel-san in your senpai. Treat him as such. He's going with you because I won't need any help with the labor until I get the materials we'll need, so I'm keeping these two with me to help plan out the gate's construction while you two get carpenters and materials. The fact that he's a chuunin paired with a genin does not mean he's incompetent. Higher ranking shinobi are put in squads of genin to keep them in line and ensure the job gets done, and such is the case now. Now get going. The sooner I get what I need, the sooner we'll be done here, and I have other things to get done today besides lecturing other ninja" Now that he thought about it, that seemed to be what he had been doing most of his time in Mist. First Synn, then Axel and Sosay, now now Nero. That was to be expected since he hadn't earned enough reputation in the village for people to just take his words at face value, but it still annoyed him a little bit that he had to go around his elbow to get to his thumb every time something needed to be done or discussed. He then stood from his sitting position, and began testing the recycled timbers' strength by resting one end on his shoulder and pulling down on the wood with his hands. Some bent but didn't break, so they were kept in the pile, but others snapped and their pieces were chucked into the debris pile.

Hyouton Nero | Genin | Kirigakure "If it can be done... "You want to fight me....but I'm the kid....I'll keep that in mind." He said, yawning. He noticed the light still emanating from Axel and raised an eyebrow. Manipulating his own water chakra, he grinned. Making the necessary hand seals, he used Uo Tsuba to quickly spit a line of water at the ball of fire, extinguishing it. "Now...If you can excercise a bit of self control, we can get the materials and get this done." Nero said, boredly.
He continued to walk forward. Axel had been behind him the entire time, and still had not seen his face. "You may be my elder, you may be more educated, you may know more, but as far as I see it, that's all you are. A more knowledgable shinobi than I am...but you are not my superior....I don't care what the kage says." He said, calmly. He wasn't one to get worked up easily.
He remained calm throughout the whole process. "Don't get so worked up. After all....I'm just a kid, remember?" He said, somewhat tauntingly. He was smarter than Axel, for sure. He was smarter than most people, with an IQ of a level above genius. He was tactically smarter than most, and knew exactly how to bend people to make them angry, and exactly when. "Oh....you're still talking then, it seems?" Nero said, with a grin that wasn't visible to Axel. The response wasn't audible to anybody other than Axel, but it was clearly in direct response to Axel's threat. Nero wanted to laugh, but it might cause problems, so he just smirked and continued walking.
He didn't even know the mizukage. All he knew was that he wasn't a familiar face, so his words were taken light-heartedly without much value. He paid little attention to what the Kage said, simply making sure he did what he did outside of ear-shot. I don't even know who that guy is. He's clearly a capable fighter. Kage I don't know about....but he's definitely a capable taijutsu user. He thought to himself, taking note of the Kage's above average Taijutsu abilities.

XXXXXThe Uo Tsubo hit squarely against his flame, however it did not result as to how the boy had expected. The water hitting the flame evaporated, not being strong enough to extinguish the fires of someone who has dedicated the past five years in fire elemental training. However, upon Deil's word, Axel closed his palm and extinguished the flame. Axel ignored whatever Deil had said, knowing that what he said was neither important nor would be words that either of them would listen to. "I've killed for a lot less, so I suggest you tone down the attitude or else I have no problem killing you in front of the kage," Axel told him as he walked past the kid and headed towards the marketplace.

Hyouton Nero | Genin | Kirigakure "If it can be done... Nero raised an eyebrow, fully aware that he had put it out voluntarily, and that his Uo Tsuba had had very little effect, if any. The sizzling noise made it apparent. Nero's darker side was beginning to show, and he gritted his teeth slightly. He was a bit unhappy on the inside, but on the outside, he just smirked.
He continued to walk, to the marketplace, to find supplies for the Kage, and to find some help, possibly a construction worker, to make it all easier for everybody. He continued walking, at the same pace he had been. The other guy seemed to be pretty intense, as he was trying hard to pass Nero, which he succeeded in, but only because Nero wasn't trying to stay ahead.
Nero continued to stroll casually through the mist, reaching the Marketplace, and continuing in, Axel a few feet ahead of him. Come to think of it, Axel still hadn't seen his face, but it didn't matter anyways. He didn't want a fire user to see him anyways. He's just lucky I'm not as experienced or as old as he is, or I would have embarrassed him then and there. He thought to himself.
The truth is, he wanted to get back the the Kage, and Mileena, and that other girl. He was really curious as to their clan, especially since they couldn't talk. Nero was downright determined to figure it out, and wanted to know, as it was going to bug him for a while if he didn't find out soon. He was confident he'd find out someway though, and simply put the thought to the back of his mind.

Kagome worked without a word to anyone. Whatever was going on didn't concern her, she wasn't a part of it. But this was her village. She found the bickering between ranks to be ridiculous and to have no point. She sided with Nero in this argument. Kid or not whether he was a genin shouldn't matter. The kage was right in his explanation. For them to continue to disobey direct orders from him was out of line. Like or dislike he was their kage. She trusted him and as far as she was concerned, she was the only one. She listened to the fight and bickering going on with interest. Axel seemed like a hot head, and Nero's though process interested her. He was a smart person, and knew that he would figure out what their clan was soon. But in any case. their fighting was bickering. She felt like smacking the both of them.
She had no training in yet so she did nothing but she walked over to deil.
Their arguing is annoying and pointless. If they would just finish their mission they wouldn't have to deal with each other anymore. Whether they like you or not is out of the question, you give an order and it should be followed. I am really sorry that there are so many people here who distrust you Her voice held no sarcasm or lies. She was genuinely upset that people were so hatefull. Something needed to be done or this village was going to go down in ruins. If she was the rank needed she would have been more than happy to have been kage. Deil shouldn't have to be here. She glanced up at the gate.
The corners will need more work. Since the corners and the hinges on a are used to keep the doors on and secure that is where we will need to put a lot of work on in. They need to be stronger than last time.
she pointed at the areas indicated with a small smile. She wanted to help him. If she was making a mistake in trusting him then so be it but this village needed trust. And trusting deil was where they should start.
She looked over at Nero with a mischievous grin knowing it was going to drive him crazy that she was speaking mentally and he didn't know it. She looked back at Deil to wait for what he thought of her explanation

Hyouton Nero | Genin | Kirigakure "If it can be done... Nero arrived an hour or two after leaving the gates,so he hadn't been gone long before he returned, accompanied by the 5 workers, the cart full of supplies, and without Axel, who would probably be a bit confused.
"Axel got caught up talking to somebody about some relative or something. I didn't want us to hold up production, so I just went ahead and got the help by myself." He said, shrugging slightly. He hoped they had gotten enough, but upon seeing the gate, he realized that they had plenty of stuff, and that he had no need to worry.
He sat down on a bench near the ruined gate and sighed. It was a moderate walk to the marketplace, so to do it twice in two hours had Nero a bit tired. "So...what now, Kage?" He asked, hoping the Kage would simply tell him to relax a bit, while they fixed the gates, though he knew that that option was pretty unlikely.

XXXXXAxel walked back to the gates, taking his sweet time as he did so since he knew there were more chakra signatures now around the gates, including that of Nero. Walking past him without even so much as acknowledging that he existed, Axel now stood leaning against a tree, facing Deil as he placed his hands behind his head, seemingly relaxing as he did so. "Deil, the kid's competent enough not to get lost it seems. He's a big boy performing your task all by himself. He doens't need me to look out for him," Axel told Deil. Wether he was complimenting Nero for doing everything on his own or being sarcastic in his words were open to the interpretation of whoever heard his words. Maybe he was hoping that Deil wouldn't need to have Axel take on a squad or any students, then he continue his own training, and travel to another village. He always enjoyed his time away from Mist, considering a sort of vacation even though he always left to perform a reconaissance mission. Maybe he could pawned them off on Zane...though if he did that, all of them would probably be dead. Rare are those who actually managed to say that they were taught by Zane Hajime and survived.

Naomi had been walking by the surroundings of the village's gates for a while. She had graduated and became a genin not too long ago and she wandered in the village without a certain destination. The only thing she could state about how she was feeling would be "bored". Naomi easily gets bored and would often look for something to do, and that was the reason she was near the gates. It needed to be repaired and maybe Naomi would be of help. She did not know exactly how though, as she was not someone who could be considered physically strong but she would do probably anything to get rid of boredom.
As she arrived at the gates, she noticed there were people working there already. "Hm..." she muttered and took a quick look at those who were there already. Familiar faces as she has been living in Kirigakure since she was eight years old. But that was not everything, among them there was someone who was without doubt important in the village. The Mizukage, Deil Grist, was also there. Probably because he was also helping and the one in charge of keeping things under control there but that second task was not something Naomi could be sure of. But one thing was certain, if she were to help she would have to ask first.
"Excuse me." the new kunoichi said as she approached the group. Trying to not be rude she did not direct her words straight to the Mizukage, but to everyone around. "Is there something I can do to help? I want to do something to help you with the repairs if possible." Naomi asked and waited for a reply from them. She had also thought about training but there were more important things that needed attention right now such as the repairs in the village.

To be honest, it would have been done faster if I hadn't spent the first 20 minutes waiting for you. Useless deadweight." He said, not looking up at Axel. He had a bad habit of not looking people in the eyes when talking to them.
He didn't care for the fact that Axel was a useless shinobi. "Maybe you just didn't have enough respect for the Kage to help with the task. At least your brother seemed to think so when you were talking with him." He said, grinning. He wasn't particularly pleased with Axel's uselessness, and figured he wasn't much of a threat, considering he appeared to be all talk. What a pathetic man. Living in his brothers shadow. He's useless too. I'd have been better off with a rock for a partner. He thought to himself, shaking his head slightly.
There was no excuse. Nero was one of the laziest people in Kirigakure, and he had gotten himself out of bed and even managed to make himself useful, the fact that Axel was so full of himself, while simultaneously being completely worthless to the success of others, quite frankly left Nero disgusted, with a bad taste in his mouth. He spit on the ground, then looked at Axel and raised an eyebrow.

You're welcome to try and challenge me in any way, if you end up beating me, then I'll admit that you're actually a capable shinobi. Other than that, stop talking, because it makes you look stupid and childish," Axel said as he remained stationary in his position against the tree. "Actually...you know what," he said as he put his attention towards the Mizukage, this time directing his words towards Deil. "Zane really should take on this special case. The boy will either grow strong...or suffer an excruciating and painful dea," he stopped himself, closing his eyes once more. "Never mind, forget I even offered it. To put him through that sort of training would be signing of a death sentence...he wouldn't last very long," he finished as his muscles now relaxed themselves against the tree.

It isn't because you're better, you're worthless. You're lucky I'm not at the same level you are, or I'd personally humiliate you." He said, checking his nails.
"You think that just because your brother is Zane, that it makes you have some value in this village. You are worthless. As far as missions go, as far as strength, as far as anything. You're trying to bully me and I can't even take you seriously. So what? You managed to hold up a flame after an inexperienced genin tried to put it out...man...you must be kage material. Loser." Nero said plainly, looking up, unimpressed, at Axel. "Hell, you couldn't even finish a simple request for the Kage. You really are nothing....absolutely nothing. This conversation is over." He said, putting his hands into his pockets and walking towards where the Kage was. He looked at him and sighed. He shook his head, grinning slightly. "I understand he is my senior, and that I should respect him. However, after the pathetic attempts to bully respect out of me...any respect he would have gained, is now completely out of the question." He said lightly, brushing some of his hair out of his face. He yawned, he needed a nap.
