After a few moments, Jianyu's fingers slid through Bataar's hair much more easily, the tangles gone. The long, dark waves were clean and silken, curling against Bataar's strong shoulders.
"It is not for 'girly men.'" Jianyu said with some exasperation. "Being clean certainly has the better appearance over being filthy - "
He stopped abruptly as Bataar leaned back against him, his back pressing against Jianyu's chest. Jianyu's face painted scarlet and his hands stopped moving as he struggled to keep himself from saying something idiotic.
What...is going on?
Bataar's voice was low as he spoke close to his ear, his head resting back on Jianyu's shoulder. Jianyu felt an odd shiver pass through him, and he turned his face away, one hand to his mouth.
What...is wrong with me? This is BATAAR. BATAAR. He's just making fun of you.
"Not...here..." Jianyu mumbled, only half aware of what he was saying.

Bataar wasn't quite paying attention to Jianyu's comment about how having clean hair was much better. He himself didn't really see the difference, beyond the silky texture and the nice color once his hair had been cleaned. It didn't matter; he didn't need anyone else to appreciate his hygiene, and therefore he'd decided it was easier just to have a lack of it. Being clean was, after all, time-consuming, and it could cause death as this experiencing in the bathouse was proving. Oh, well, he supposed a bath was a formidable foe.
His brain felt sluggish, and his head felt as if it were floating. He wasn't sure what was going on. "...I know. I can't die here!" he declared, wrapping his arms, vice-like, around Jianyu's slender form.
"I'll take you down with me, you b*****d!"
And with that, Bataar passed out.

He should have known.
Really. He should have known by now that Bataar was not the type to be seductive.
Not that he would ever be seductive with me, even if he was that type of person, Jianyu thought dryly as he looked down at Bataar's prone form, the Mongol's arms still tight around his waist. Face flushed, Jianyu reached down, running his fingers gently down the side of Bataar's face.
There's something...wrong with me.
It took him a while, but eventually (and with the help of some of the bathhouse attendants), Jianyu found himself sitting inside of Bataar's home...well, tent. Bataar was lying on a pile of fur, still out cold, and Jianyu was sitting cross-legged beside him.
"Moron." he said quietly. "Why do you always have to be so stupid?"

Bataar opened his eyes slowly, observing the ceiling of his tent with a rather bleary expression of confusion. He head felt stuffy and he could barely breathe; a headache permeated his mind. Sleeping in the alley had apparently given him the gift of a cold virus. He sat up with a grimace and rubbed his head, his eyes wandering his tent and landing on... Jianyu?
Wait a minute. What? His memory trickled back slowly as he silently observed the Legionnaire, and he realized that he must have passed out while in the bath. And... and Jianyu was clearly gay for him in the first place, so the logical conclusion was...
"You-- you raped me?!" he shouted, stabbing a finger at Jianyu. Clearly, he had no idea what it was to be raped, but it sounded likely to him. "Ohmigod. BUT I WAS A VIRGIN HOW COULD YOU." Not exactly the best thing to scream on impulse, now was it?

"Oh for heaven's sake." Jianyu snapped, folding his arms across his chest. "Do you even know what the word 'rape' means, you utter moron? And I wouldn't touch you with a ten foot pole, let alone sleep with you, you idiot! Stop jumping to ridiculous conclusions about everything!"
Running a hand through his still-damp hair, Jianyu let out a sigh. He didn't know why he was even still here, why he hadn't just left Bataar and gone home. It would serve the Mongol right if he woke up by himself.
But...there was something about him that Jianyu couldn't seem to leave alone.
This is nonsense. It's BATAAR. There is nothing good about him. Nothing.
"Are you feeling well now?" Jianyu asked.

Bataar stared at Jianyu, his eyes wide as he listened to the other man's explanation. "Ten feet?" he muttered to himself, sounding a little alarmed. "I think mine is bigger." he assured himself, although he had no sense of measurement. He rolled his eyes at Jianyu as he continued to defend himself.
"It is perfectly logical!" he responded, looking rather pompous as he eyed Jianyu before his expression contorted into a rather odd one and he sneezed; once, twice, three times. He caught his breath and looked rather irritated, opening his mouth to speak and looking surprised as a cough presented itself. "Oh, damn it!" How was he supposed to be manly if he was sick?
Putting his sore throat and other symptoms aside, he gave his attention back to Jianyu.
"I'm fine." he choked, coughing again.

Jianyu's face flushed, and he sputtered "That's not - You're not - I wasn't talking about that, you moronic imbecile!"
Of course he thinks I'm talking about that, Jianyu thought, shaking his head in exasperation. His face felt hot, and Jianyu turned his face away momentarily, taking in a deep breath before turning back to Bataar, who was coughing rather raucously.
"You're sick." Jianyu pointed out. "That's not fine. Do you have a fever?"
Leaning forward, Jianyu pressed his forehead to Bataar's. It made his flush deepen, but he had to check.
"A small fever." he said. "You should lie back down."

"That?" Bat asked, although he looked mainly disinterested since he'd already fixed up that particular issue in his head. Whatever Jianyu was talking about now, he was treating the Mongol like a complete idiot, so it hardly mattered. The maroon Lunarian ran a hand through his hair, looking tired; he felt kind of like he'd been run over by a horse or something.
"I am completely perfect! I just have a high body temperature!" he replied when Jianyu figured out he was sick. His excuse didn't help, however, when the Legionnaire pressed their foreheads together so that their faces were quite close in Bat's opinion.
Well, this is nice. The Mongol was in a completely absentminded state when he pressed his lips to Jianyu's, kissing the other man more out of impulse as opposed to any realization of preference. It had just seemed right, especially for someone who moved so much according to instinct like Bataar.
Besides, he was sick. He was allowed to molest people when he was sick, right?

Jianyu let out a derisive snort.
"'High body temperature my a**.'" he said. "Bataar, you have a fe-"
His words were stopped by the kiss. Bataar's kiss. Jianyu's eyes widened and his face painted a bright scarlet as he sat there on his knees. His mind was working frantically to comprehend what was going on, what was happening, but he couldn't seem to string any thoughts together.
After a few seconds, Jianyu stopped trying to think so much. He closed his eyes, letting himself relax into the feel of Bataar's warm lips. One hand went up to touch the side of Bataar's face, and Jianyu felt slightly dizzy.
Something...is seriously wrong with me.

Bataar didn't care if he had a fever or not at this point; he was far more interested in the situation at hand as he experimented with kissing Jianyu. Certainly, they'd shared kisses before, but none quite so... slow. Meaningful, perhaps? Bat put the thought out of his head the moment it occurred; meaningful was a pretty intimidating word.
He detached himself from the kiss slowly, wincing and coughing into his fist for a moment. It was an unpleasant surprise to find that his cheeks were so flushed and red; he maintained that the fever was responsible for the odd feeling thrumming through his body.
"You--you're right. I must be sick." he mumbled, biting his lip.

The kiss was slow, and surprisingly gentle from a man like Bataar. Jianyu could feel his heart beating rapidly against his chest, could feel himself falling into it way too hard.
After a few moments, Bataar pulled back, a hacking cough erupting from his lungs. Jianyu sighed, running a hand through his hair. Both of their faces were flushed, and Jianyu could feel the heat on Bataar's cheek.
"You are sick." he said quietly. "But I believe...there's something wrong with me too."
Leaning forward, Jianyu pressed his lips to Bataar's once more. It was more of an experiment, to try and distinguish what the raging emotions twisting inside of him were, but he still couldn't figure it out.
What...is wrong with me? Something is wrong with me.
Jianyu pulled back, his face red as he looked at Bataar.
I just...kissed Bataar.
Yes. Something is very, very, wrong.

Bataar was deeply uncomfortable with the light flutterings in his chest; he didn't quite understand them, or realize how to identify them. He'd been plunged into a world of confusion the minute he'd started kissing Jianyu, and he was currently trying to comprehend the scale of the situation he'd gotten himself into. From the way Jianyu was acting, it might be quite a big deal.
He readily consented to the Legionnaire's next kiss, relaxing a little and absently wrapping an arm around him. This was... problematic. "Yes, I think you're sick, too." he muttered abruptly. They both had decent excuses now! If possible, he didn't want to deal with this yet.
"Was that bath poisoned?" he added, trying to make light of the situation.

Jianyu leaned against Bataar, his hands resting on the Lunarian's shoulders as the other man's arm wrapped around his waist. He made a small noise of frustration at Bataar's light tone.
He's making fun of me.
"Moron." he snapped. "Is this what you do with people when you're sick?"
Without really thinking about what he was doing, without pausing to take in all of the consequences that might incur from his actions, Jianyu wrapped his arms around Bataar's neck, pressing his lips to his once more in an angry kiss. He unleashed whatever passion and emotions he was feeling, his fingers delving through Bataar's long dark hair as he pressed himself close.
What the hell am I doing?
The thought ran through his head, but for the first time, Jianyu ignored his sense and went with his feelings.

Bat glanced down at Jianyu and tilted his head, frowning as he thought about it. "No. Why would I?" he asked, sounding absolutely dense. He wasn't purposely trying to deny the odd mixture of feelings running through him, but he wasn't seeking out any answers, either.
Jianyu's kiss was rather alarming in its nature; Bat hadn't expected it from the other man, and gasped, kissing back on impulse. He was faintly aware that the Legionnaire was practically beating him up, but he found that he didn't care-- that was, until he couldn't figure out how to breathe through the encounter any longer. He pulled away, looking faintly irked.
"Well, you see, I only have a cold, but you-- you're sick in the head!" he grinned, pressing a brief kiss to Jianyu's lips before flopping down back onto his pile of furs, planning on using the other Lunarian as a replacement rat to hang out with while he slept.

Jianyu's breathing was uneven by the time Bataar pulled away. His face felt flushed, his body oddly hot as Bataar lay back down on the furs. That last, quick kiss...that had been unexpected. He had fully been thinking that Bataar was going to shove him away, call him names, insult him more, but...it was different.
And not unpleasant.
"I am not sick in the head." Jianyu mumbled as he lay down beside Bataar. He slid himself close, moving to look up at the other man.
Maybe I am sick in the head. Something is obviously wrong with me that I'm...attracted to Bataar.
There. He'd said it. He was attracted to Bataar of all people. Bataar, who never took anything seriously, who teased him, who taunted him and fought him and slept in filthy alleyways with rats.
This is a nightmare.
