He nodded, falling silent for awhile to allow her to say her piece. He wasn't bothered by what she had said about their mother; in truth, Iosef had always felt rather lucky to have been loved at all -- he certainly didn't think he'd ever done anything to deserve it, and he had grown alongside many males that had not been so lucky. "You can only do your best," he said, with a shrug. "And whatever is meant to happen, will happen."
Of course, there was something else weighing on his mind -- a theory regarding the sudden influx of males in the pack -- but he could not share it. One thing he had kept secret from everyone, including his sister, and he had never dared act upon those beastly thoughts that sometimes crossed his mind...he glanced skyward, watching a bird fly overhead. "I'm assuming your mate would not be pleased if any chose to come here, and live a life like mine?"

Do your best. She had heard that several times already from Derecho and while she did try her best it didn't seem to be good enough in his or her eyes - and likely the pups thought that as well. "He would be far more than displeased if they did. Derecho is the alpha's son, stubborn and think the sisters do nothing more than subjugate males. He would certainly try to stop them if they showed any hint of wishing to come here." A small part of Terreis hoped that they all wanted to come here one day and become slaves, wouldn't that get Derecho all riled up, that not one but all of his sons choose the life of a slave over the freedom of YMCA. "I on the other hand would be proud to have them come and work for the sisters once they are older." And it was the first time that Terreis truly meant that, if by chance one of her sons chose the life of servitude to the sister she would be more than willing to let him go.

"...Perhaps he needs to come to visit, next time," he ventured, quietly. "I...it may be hard for him to understand. I...I'm certainly happy here. Maybe if he saw that he would have an easier time of it." But then, what did Iosef know? Very little, that much he had always known.
The whole thing was very confusing and troubling, that much was sure -- and he certainly didn't envy his sister any. He sighed, knowing he was out of answers. "Have you spoken with the Queen?" Penthesilea was wise and fair -- she, more than anyone, would have the right answer...Iosef was sure of it.

"I'm not sure if he would agree to come up here, but I suppose it would be worth a try." She smiled slightly before continuing. "I'd have to first convince him that I wasn't bringing him up here to make him my slaves." Oh wouldn't that be a sight to see, Derecho in the role of a slave - though he would probably die before he ever let that happen, but nonetheless the image of that was amusing.
"I haven't spoke to her yet, as I wanted to see you first. How ha the queen been?" She questioned, not knowing of any of the recent events within the pack as she had been forced to stay down south to care for her pups. "And have any of the others returned?" From what Terreis knew since the last time she had been here the pack was still small and very few of the old sisters had returned, the reasons behind their absence was unknown.

"She has fared well," he said, tentatively, suddenly remembering the attack. "Although..." he glanced around. "Her half-brother hired a wolf to attack her, with I believe intent to kill. She bested the warrior and escaped with minor injury, but..." he shuddered, still unknowing how siblings could do such a thing to each other.

Terreis' ear twitched at this news. Tierehl had hired a wolf to try to assassinate the queen? That made Terreis mad for a number of reasons and she instinctively let out a growl. She should have been here to protect her queen. "Tierehl that worthless b*****d. You know he had pups with one of the beta's from the pack I am with now, and he abandoned them and their mother right after they were born." Caught up in the anger of the moment Terreis added. "And you know he had three daughters...three of them!" It was only after that that she realized that Iosef said 'but' and she wasn't sure if he was withholding something. "But what?" She question her brother.

"Oh, nothing, nothing," he said, for he had yet to be introduced to Achilles and was, as yet, unaware of the arrangement. "It's just...it's awful. I can't imagine." He looked up at her, brow furrowed. "He was there? In your pack?" Another shudder. Even worse...what if he'd hurt Terreis as well?

Terreis nodded. "He was there, but disappeared shortly after his pups were born, so I don't think we will ever see him again." She fell silent for a few moments thinking about some things. Iosef would need to be given leave in order to see his newphews and she also wished to speak to Penthesilea in private as well. "Come, let us seek out the Queen, you will need to be given a day or two off from your duties to visit your nephews." She sounded happy about the prospect of it, but honestly deep down there was that sense of failure looming, waiting to come back. Forcing a smile she gave Iosef a gentle nudge with her shoulder and then began to lead the way back towards the main dens. If anyone gave Iosef trouble for not attending to his duties they would need to take it up with Terreis.

He smiled warmly; it hadn't quite occurred to him that he was really going to visit her family. Iosef hadn't exactly done much traveling in his time...smiling, he stood alongside his sister, waiting for her to lead the way.
