Aquene just stared back at Paestri. She blinked slowly a efw times, looked in the way of the kitchen, then looked back at Paestri. But the general idea was obvious to the toddler. Without a second thought, Aquene twisted onto her legs, stood up and toddled away towards the kitchen.
"Perhaps she's destined to be once day a great marzpain sculupter, then?" Neith wondered out loud, watching the two. "Yea, a lot of bird-like-things have wings. Maybe Aquene an insect-like-thing."

Paestri grinned as she crawled with Aquene, wondering just what the kitchen had in store for them. "'Ow Eeenie wal'?" she asked, staring at the way Aquene walked on her legs.
Linneas laughed, "Well so far, all I know is Pae knows when there is something wrong with the food. Whenever my mom baked something that was disastrous, Pae wouldn't even so much as touch it."
He kept an eye on his sister, making sure he knew where she was. "Insect-like? Yeah, those look like butterfly wings."

Eeenie blinked, and rested both hands on the wall. "Wall?"
She stared at the other baby, waiting for her to get up as well. How were they supposed to get into walking of mass distraction if she didn't get up as well?
"That would be very useful in top class restaurants. Pae could let you know if they're really worth the money they ask you to spend." Neith grinned at the idea, thinking of a chef's expression if his creations were rejected by a toddler. "Yea, they do a bit. But I'm very glad she isn't flying... what a disaster that'd be."

Paestri shook her head, "Pay no wal'" she stated sadly, her legs weren't strong enough to support her weight long enough to walk. She could crawl and stand but not walk. The Legend hoped this would not affect their little adventure.
"Pae doesn't really reject food if it just doesn't taste good, like the time mom made cookies with expired ingredients Paestri wouldn't even touch them." Linneas recalled wincing at the memory. "I can only imagine Eeenie would be a handful if she could fly."

Eeenie dropped back onto hands and knees. She could get where she wanted to get like this too. "Uum."
She took off towards the door, and disappeared around the corner as fast as she could. Eeenie sat against the wall waiting for Pae, her strange wings fluttering right through the wall like some strange ghostly apparition.
"She'd be off trying to catch a rainbow or something silly. It's bad enough she chases around little crystal rainbows on the floor." Neith's voice was affectionate, even though she was clearly a bit tired by the wandering toddler. "But that's all right. She's just different from the other kids I raised. It must be a Legend thing. I've never heard of a baby who can tell when food's been made with bad things either."

Paestri squeaked in surprise as Eeenie took off and with a big grin, she followed after her. Where were they? In the kitchen? Her pink eyes gleamed in curiosity as she noticed the other Legend's wings passing through the wall.
"'ow you do dat?" She asked in amazement.
"Trying to catch a rainbow? That sounds adorable." Linneas smiled fondly, "Raising kids must be a lot of hard work."

((Oh, right! For about five minutes, Pae will be able to make those fingers go through any objects. xd The dust's the thing that makes Eeenie's wings all strange, and only Eenie can touch the dust without having that effect.
She'll be a bit disappointed when she's older. o.o It would have been quite the party trick to do that to a hand, then stick a knife through it. XD ))
Eeenie looked behind her, and blinked. When did those things get there? She reached back and grabbed at one, taking hold of it for a few moments before letting go again and shrugging at Pae. Aquene reached out to , hand covered in a strange film of sparkliness. She touched Pae's hand, the sparkliness falling over several of her fingers.
She pointed at the strange dust, answering the question the best way she could. Eeenie had tried it out on her teddy earlier.
"It is, but I seem to have taken a liking to it. I've raised a lot of them." Neith grinned, flopping back. "It keeps me fit?"

Paestri seemed absolutely fascinated by the sparkly powder on her fingers. She wished her clothes had pockets so she could store some of it in, but as she tried to search her garments, her hand just... slipped through. Needless to say this caused some alarm in Paestri.
What had happend!?
Her icing pink eyes stared at Aquene in mild fear before realization dawned on her. Oh. Wow. The dust made Aquene's wings pass through the wall! Incredible! Paestri giggled and proceeded to try and pass her hand on every surface within reach.
Not only that she managed to get a taste of Aquene and she rather liked it.
"Eeenie nais!" she gurgled.
Linneas nodded in understanding, "Mom doesn't seem to have a lot of kids at home, but she's helped in bringing some of them here." he adds, recalling how Huni had initially always been present for a Tale's emergence slash arrival.

Aquene giggled as well, clapping her hands. The remaining dust fell harmlessly around them, falling through whatever it touched till it all vanished into the floor.
"Aee ice!" She added, though the partiual words sounded strange, Aquene's way of saying each letter different to Paestri.
"Most of the kids I raised are living away from home now, or trying to create their own apartments within my house. Aquene is the youngest of the lot." Neith blinked and added, "Helped bringing them in from where? I sometimes help bring in a child from ... well, I'm not sure where. Jewellery or items. Never figured it out."

Paestri felt her cheeks mildly flush at Eeenie's words, that is if she understood them correctly. The pink legend whimpered dejectedly once the dust's effects wore off. Still, it was a fun experience and she wondered what she could show Eeenie in return. She figured it would have to be the squishies she made! But not right now, she'll give it to Eeenie next time. Right now it was time to explore the kitchen!
"Wa' der?" Paestri asked, pointing to one of the cuppboards below the sink.
"Well, my mom does bring children in from an item. A Tome specifically, although all she really does is let the future guardian into the shop." The teen laughed, realizing just how little he and his mother really do whenever a new Tale emerges.

Eeenie stood up, taking a few minutes to get her balance, using the aid of the cupboard. If she was to check this strange new place like Pae wanted, she had to do it on two feet!
She tugged at the door till it creaked open. Curious, Eeenie sat back down, and peeked inside...
"A tome? Must be an interesting tome to sprout children." Neith grinned, and added, "Must be a lot of guardians coming in unawares, and leaving stunned."

Paestri peered behind Eeenie, icing pink eyes staring into the dark interiors of the cupboard. What could be hiding in there? She looked up at Eeenie, "Wat in der?"
"Sprout's an interesting word," Linneas smiled, though he was unsure of the nature of how each Tale actually arrives. "Yes, we've had a fairly large number of people coming in under the idea that they were merely buying stationeries or supplies."

Eeenie blinked, and started to pull out pots and pans. They made noise, lots and lots of noise! But she wasn't sure if she liked the noise yet.
She handed a pot to Pae. "Pot!"
Neith laughed. "Should have given them some supplies free of charge. A baby kit or something, a free bag of diapars."

"Pot?" Paestri ooh'ed as she accepted the metal object. Her mama had enough sense to keep these away from her back at home so she was quite excited about having the opportunity to see what else she could do with them. How did Eeenie make those noise, she wondered.
As she raised the pot to return it, it seemed to slip out of her graps and noisily clattered to the floor.
Paestri jumped and squealed in alarm. It was so loud!
"We only sell stationeries and office or school supplies. Maybe we should branch out with books and-" he was cut off by the sound of metal crashing against tiles.

Neith blinked and stood up, stiding to the kitchen to make sure the babies weren't getting into anything.
Eeenie squealed as well, grabbing at her wings with both hands, and covered the pot in dust. She picked it up, and dropped it again.
It fell right through the tiles, with only the un-dusted handle stopping it from falling too far. She was pretty satisfed with that, no big noise! Just the thump of wooden handle on tiles.
But she heard footsteps. Eeenie crawled into the cupboard to hide, calling "Eide!" to Pae as she went.
