“Oh, you tease me so.” Starting to lightly walk forward, Yu winked at Dysi, loving the fact that he worked in Yu’s vain and fairly fragile nature into the strategy. Looking the leopard over, he was bulky enough to do everything himself, and probably didn’t need Yu at all, but this was a start for Yu.
His mother had hunted for him until he was a late adolescent, never letting him go out and learn how to hunt until he was forced to leave when she up and left him. Thinking back, it was those days of sitting in the den by himself without his mother that his vivid imagination started to pop up.
Bouncing lightly like a butterfly, Yu bobbed his head back and forth, being a bit too careless for a hunt. He crouched down, but crawled forward awkwardly. He made his way around the side of the herd. Glancing over at the now-lime green Dysi, a bright outline of white surrounding his frame. He waited for a signal of sorts, not entirely knowing what to do, even though his job was relatively simple.

Dysi was grinning as he dragged his belly across the ground, confident in his hunting skills. The other male might not be good at hunting, but he was good company. He glanced across at him as he awkwardly crawled across the ground, and he hid a smile.
Glancing back at the herd, he identified a lone antelope who was further away from the herrd. He glanced at Yu, hoping he'd seen it and then gave a firm nod. He couldn't tell him to jump up and distract the herd, but he hoped the male would get it.
If he did, Dysi was prepared to pounce on the nearest antelope.

“Well, what how kind of you.” He rubbed his face against the carcass, now treating it more like a sleeping place than food. He was thinking of how on earth he’d carry it back to where he would take it, but he guessed that he’d probably eat about half of it before he took it anywhere.
“Ha! My mother was the same. Luckily, it was just me and her, so there wasn’t too much fighting over food.” Chuckling, Yu stood, not one to ever reminisce on the past. “So…thank you. For today. In case you couldn’t guess, I’m not very good at the whole….hunting thing.” He pawed at the carcass, seeing it as a great feat to take down. Maybe one day he’d be able to kill one all on his own. It’d take a big change for that, though, hopefully one that would come to him soon.

The male was rubbing his face against the dead antelope and Dysi desperately wanted to laugh but feared he would think of it as he was mocking him, but he really wasn't. So he kept silent instead and smiled.
“You're welcome, it was an enjoyable time,” he said, brightly. “I enjoy hunting and meeting new people, so this combined the two of them.” He ended it with a playful wink and his tail flicked behind him. He glanced up at the sun, noticing it was getting a little heavier and sinking towards the horizon rather than being centralised in the sun. “I should head back to my mate, before she gets worried,” he told Yu, sounding a little reluctant. He missed walking, moving, meeitng new people but thinking of his girls waiting for him, he summoned a smile. “Perhaps we will meet again some day,” he told Yu, “but for now, I will leave you to your food.” He bowed his head smiling.

“The feeling’s mutual, my dashing lad.” He glanced up at the sky as well, the sun looking eager to get a hold of Yu as it sank towards the horizon. It made Yu want to hurry and eat a portion of the antelope so he could move to a safe place away from the sun.
“I guess I should get back to my friend.” She was, after all, the reason why he was out here in the first place. “If we meet again, maybe I can show you a bit of my world.” He winked back, knowing just how fun his world was. Too bad everyone else just saw it as a mental disorder. “Goodbye, dear leopard boy.” Returning to the ground, he curled around the antelope, licking and snuggling it equally as he sunk back into his own, secluded world.

Dysi chuckled to himelf, and turned tail when the male returned to his food. “Goodbye odd cheetah boy,” he tossed back over his shoulder, heading off towards where he knew his family would be. Tucked away safely within their pride, away from the eyes of all inferior beings and safe from the world.
His mate would not have been as amused with the cheetah male as Dysi had been, but that didn't mind. It wa sthe reason he left, so he could explore the world, but he would always go back to them. He hoped that the friend of Yu would appreciate the word the male had put into the antelope, and with a swing in his step, Dysi headed back to his family.
