Blinking a little , Kofuku did her best not to cry; it was hard though, since Panther was clearly upset and not talking to her. Reaching down, she picked at a spot of dirt on the floor with her finger. "I... I'm not crying. I just got a little dust in my eye is all." A blatant lie, and a rather poor one at that.
"I think I'm getting in your way right now, though.... do you want me to leave?" Granted, she didn't WANT to leave him, but the last thing she needed to do was to get him in trouble or make him more pissed off.

"I err... am on duty, punishment. I'm not supposed to be talking to anyone right now." despite what she said, it looked like she was gonna cray any moment, and he did not want that. please don't cray, please don't cry, he chanted silently to himself. Why did women have to get so teary.

"Oh. Okay then." Quietly, and without looking at him, she got herself up off the floor, dusting off her knees a bit before straitening herself up. "I was hoping to talk to you, since I hadn't seen you since you got kicked out of the car."
Glancing down at him, she let the corner of her mouth quirk up in a completely empty smile. "Maybe I'll catch you later, I guess. Stay out of trouble?"
The entire time, she was chanting to herself 'no tears, no tears, no tears'. There wasn't a logical reason for her to be upset with Panther or for her to want to cry, and yet, for some reason she could feel it rising up. 'I'm a moron....' she thought to herself.

"Not bloody likely. I might have more chance of having a mew drop out of the sky and decide to become my pokemon." he growled again, and glared at the ground, scrubbing again. His mind drifted back to earlier int he lab and he got only more miffed. It wasn't his fault.

Kofuku took a step away from him, then paused and looked back. Biting her lip, she made sure that no one was around to get him in trouble, then walked back over, dropped down on her knees again, and hugged him tightly. She was completely clueless to whatever had happened to him, but she needed to steal a hug if she was to last for god knows how long without being able to see him.
She didn't move for a few seconds, then her grip loosened on him as she readied herself to let go and stand back up. "Sorry... couldn't help myself." She muttered to him.

He stiffened and then sighed. "It's fine." He looked a little more relaxed. Secretly glad for the hug, but he didn't stop working. Looking busy was really more important the actually being busy anyway. "Maybe we can hang out after I'm done." He spoke quietly, not really wanting to, but... it would make her feel better, and he knew it was his fault she was going to cry at any moment.

His words brought a small smile over her face, and Kofuku stood up again. "I'd really like that, Panther.... I'd really like it a lot. Maybe we can meet up in the cafeteria for some dinner?" Her stomach did a little somersault, and she chewed on her lip as she waited for his answer; she knew he was tired and probably wouldn't want to actually DO anything.

"Alright, I'm holding you to it though." Giving him a small smile and a wave, Kofuku walked off down the hall, disappearing around the corner and eventually making it back to her room.
As 8 o'clock finally started to near, Kofuku left her room and hurried down to the Cafeteria, not wanting to be late. Nothing was going to keep her form having dinner with Panther tonight; nothing.

He was a good 15 minutes late, partially from having forgotten, but mostly from having to clean up, yet another person's mess. despite having washing, he still couldn't get the scent of bleach and cleaners off his hands. He trudged down in casual cloths, wanting nothing to do with his uniform till he had washed it again, with something not chemically infected.
With a yawn he walked strait to the food, making a face at it. Normally he would have gotten food from town by now, as he was out of stock, and vending machine junk food only lasted so long.

Late; Panther was totally late. Sighing, Kofuku sat at the table she'd secured for the two of them far off in the corner. He was in a bad mood, so she figured he probably didn't want to be around to many other people. Poking at the salad she'd gotten, she waited, her high hopes falling as the minutes ticked by and Panther still never showed. Getting up to go toss the now unappealing looking salad, she blinked a little, seeing the familiar back side of Panther.
A wide grin spread across her face, and she quickly dumped the salad, sneaking herself up behind him and hugging him tightly from behind. "Hey stranger!" She chirped happily, her arms locked around him.

He had just started piling things on his plate, ready to be eaten. he was careful to pick over the best of what they had, debating, when arms suddenly encircled him. Nearly loosing his tray, he jumped, and tried to look behind him. "Kofuku! don't do that, I think I nearly had a heart attack."

"Yeep! Sorry..." Pouting a little, she let go so he could turn around. "So, are you off for today then? Cuz... maybe we can hit up the rec room if you're not too tired." Reaching over, she grabbed another tray and a plate, looking over the food, plopping on good sized portions of various things. Unlike Panther, she loved the slop that they served. After living in that crummy orphanage and then out on the streets, this food was pretty much gourmet as far as she was concerned.
"Granted, I understand if you are; it's tiring stuff."

"I'm tired of inside... I'd rather go out to train. and I don't exercise on those dumb machines, I'm not a hamster." he sighed and remembered the last time he was on a treadmill. Only yesterday he had gotten desperate enough from the boredom, after falling off he was not doing that again.
Changing his focus, he grabbed more food, making a face at Kofuku's pick of slop, and the fallowed her to the table, she had picked. Perfect for silence.

"I know the feeling; I remember when I was stuck inside for a week after I threw cake at Agent Hayes." Not even noticing his face at the food she'd grabbed, she led him over to the table in the corner, slipping into the seat and dropping her tray in front of her.
"So, when are you going to be able to leave the base again?" Giving him a suddenly very bright smile, she giggled. "Cuz, when you're off, I wanna take you out! I owe you for ice cream and lunch from our first and last date."
