Devi leaned against the wall and sunk her body down to the ground, panting, exhausted. "This is hell," she groaned. Wait. That was it - this was hell, wasn't it? Devi never considered herself to be too much of a religious type, but did she just find herself in some sort of hell? But she didn't remember dying, yet could remember everything else about her life. There had to be some explanation as to what was going on.
The thought of being dead and in hell had started to panic her, and it was showing. She was hyperventilating and her hands were shaking, but she needed to compose herself. Breathe, Devi. Breathe. She inhaled deep and exhaled slowly, calming herself down. She can't afford another panic attack. No, she needed to man up. Or woman up. What would be the female equivalent anyways?
"Lets find somewhere safe," she said, a bit of an authoritative tone taking over. "Somewhere to take shelter in case we start getting chased again."

"It can't be Hell. I didn't die. I..." She shook her head, gloved hands curling into tight fists. "I refuse to believe that we're stuck here. I am going to get out. I am going to get both of us out of here and then I'm going to find my idiot friend and my loner cousin. We are not going to spend the rest of our lives rotting in... Wherever this is." The teen's determination was clear, at least, but eventually she calmed enough to nod in agreement to what Devi had said. "You're right, though... We do need to find somewhere safe. And we need to get back to trying to find weapons... Just in case."

"Lets starting checking doors, see if any of them work," Devi said. "If we think one might even be loose enough, we could try knocking it down." She didn't really mean that, but she needed to sound tough and brave to measure up to Corvus's Senshi abilities, so she tossed out an idea.
But of course, Devi wasn't totally brave just yet. No, she was glad to have Sailor Corvus as a nice security blanket, kept the monsters away. Or whatever the ******** caused the stampede of taxidermied animals to chase them down the halls. "Why don't you lead the way? I'll follow close behind."

Sailor Corvus looked at the other girl for a bit before nodding. Keeping civilians safe was one of her duties, after all. It was the 'right thing' to do... And, anyways, even if it wasn't, she had sworn to get Devi out of this.
The scout took one more quick glance around the area they had been chased into, plucking an old mop handle out of a nearby pile of debris before checking cautiously around the corner. If anything was there she would be ready for it...
But nothing was there. No shadows, no monsters, not the slightest trace of anything. Corvus straightened out, giving the wooden pole a light twirl before casting a quick grin back in Devi's direction. "Coast is clear... Let's go."
