His features twisted into a grin as he felt his elbow connect with her face. Even with his chain yank out of his grip and the fact the fight wasn't exactly going as he'd planned it to, Rhodizite was pleased to note the girl seemed to have dropped her initial attitude. She now looked worried, if not panicked, as she should have been from the start.

His eyes were focused on the chain as the senshi attempted to move about. Unfortunately for her, the chain's movements were easier to predict than the girl's, and after several tries, the Lieutenant managed to grasp onto the end of it, giving it a tug, hoping to bring the senshi down once more. By the time he'd grabbed his weapon though, the girl had managed to loosen it enough that when he yanked, it came off of her entirely.

Making a 'tsk' like noise by clicking his tongue over his teeth, Rhodizite stood up and shot the girl a glare, "I can keep this up all night, girl. Can you?" it was true that while he'd been damaged (his gut was seriously protesting his every movement - it was a good thing he'd neglected to ingest food earlier than evening, choosing to skip dinner), he was certain the senshi had sustained more hits. He could tell her wrist was also damaged, and quite frankly, he was sure he could grab her again, even if she shot her attack at him.

To attack him physically, she was going to have to draw nearer again. At that point, he'd just repeat the process; it was obvious from the grim smile he was offering her that he didn't seem willing to back off and thought that if she kept this up... she would soon enough be his.

Relief washed over her as the chain was yanked free of her wrist. The pain lessened and she gave a small sigh. He was talking know, but Maia did not really hear him. Her attentions were focused on the chain in his hand and she could not help, but wish Polaris was around.

She almost frowned when Rhodizite smiled at her, but she knew that would not help anything. So she just smiled back, a gentle sweet smile not meant for an enemy.

"Sweet Harmony," she cried the notes coming to her and the music spilling forth from her mouth. The music notes were forming, hanging about in the air, before they rushed toward the boy.

She still had energy, but as she been moving around far more than he had, so he probably had more. She really needed to end this quick. If she kept up the way she was than he really gain the upper hand. She couldn't allow that to happen. She had two descriptions of attempts at removing one's starseed and she was terrified to experience such extreme pain. If it came close to that then she wouldn't keep fighting. No, she would definitely run.

Her smile merely made him arch a brow, almost as if to silently tell her that she was insane. Then again, that was alright with him; he could keep this up for quite a while still. Then, the music notes came at him again and once more he tried to swat them away, however, the notes overwhelmed him and hit him for a second him.

Once more, he felt his breathing relax (further helping his cause, in a way - if he remain relaxed, he was using far less energy than she was), his body going into that strange sort of sluggish sort-of-but-not-quite sleep. He'd kept his chain in his left hand, leaving his right one free as he began moving his fingers in order to judge when the effect would wear off.

Rather than fight it, Rhodizite kept his hooded gaze on her, his eyes fixed on hers, waiting to see what her next move would be. He'd be waiting, the fact he was barely moving, his right hand half hidden behind his back and out of her sight... making it rather hard to judge just when the spell would wear out (after all, time moved strangely when one was fighting).

Deep down, in his mind, he smirked, and even if it didn't outwardly register on his lips, his eyes told another, different story.

She watched and as soon as he body began to relax she ran around the back of him. She swung her leg around to before she even stopped in an attempt to kick him square in the back and she nearly toppled over. Suddenly she felt very dizzy and that was not a good thing.

She stumbled for a moment to regain her balance and barely noticed the slow flexing of the boys fingers. Her eyes went wide, and her heart began to race. 'What happened?'

She turned quickly and ran her heels clicking against the pavement as she went. Her movement was quick, but clumsy, she wobbled to and fro, walls threatening to collide with her. Around one corner, then the next, she did not even know where she was going, but she had to get away.

She did not have a lot of time.

The fact the girl had chosen to go around him (and thus lose precious time that she could be using to hurt him) confused the Lieutenant slightly. However, seeing as how he could barely move and that he wanted to remain calm while he waited for the effects to dissipate, he made no motion to turn. Rhodizite expect a kick, or some sort of hit any moment now; he simply ground his teeth and waited for the impact.

Except... it never came.

Instead, the clicking of heels against the pavement caught his ears. He hissed under his breath, cursing the fact he could not even turn around to check out what was going on. By the time the flexing of his fingers indicated that the effects had nearly dissipated, it was too late. The Lieutenant turned around and found am empty alley looking back at him; the senshi was nowhere in sight.

He let out a sigh as he pulled the chain up entirely from the ground, looking mildly displeased with the situation. Apparently, the girl had gotten smarter in the last couple of minutes and had decided to leave. Good on her, he figured. Shame though. Frowning to himself, the Lieutenant began to walk away, trying to figure out if he should just go back home, or if he should, maybe, go visit Khalla, even if it was rather late.

Bright light. She saw light, whizzing by, one at a time. She was so tired but there were light. Maia powered down and ran right to the light and out onto the sidewalk before collasping.

Light, she thought, as she succumb to the darkness of exhaustion as screams erupted around her.

She did not hear or see the people who came to help her, or the ambulance that pulled up to cart her off to the hospital, no, she remained in the darkness, her body forcing rest upon her. Peaceful, dreamless sleep.
