Adding to Suika.

Spell Card: Lesser Purple Power.
Use: Increases the user's size by double. (10 minute Cooldown)
two minute buff
It's cosmetic, something for the Oni players.

Nice.

Needs more "K.O. In Three Steps" though.

Nah.

Oh yeah towns...
Besides the Human Village, Ancient City in Hell, and possibly Moon capital...There could be one near the Barrier opening.

I figure that "K.O. In Three Steps" could be an AoE tech, all MMO have at least 5.
And we know that those who roll Oni won't be too happy about the lack of the classic Oni Spellcard.

As for towns, maybe the Shrine could be a Hub Zone?

I remember in Wow there were class restricted items. There were going to be race restricted ones but i never saw a live item.

So yeah, some cards can be race specific.

See my point?

Also, Auctioneer Kourin? Naturally.
I'd be more than happy to provide the English Voice for him, naturally.
Seeing as how he's a lot like me, collects odd stuff he wants to sell but decides against that to figure out what exactly "it" does, and how to use it.

thought on the spot.
Lines if he had a in game voice. or in text.
Greetings.
"Mind if i take a look in your bags?"
"Welcome, Please take a look around."
"Now Let's see what items you have today?"
Good-byes.
"Come back with more interesting items."
"Thanks for business."
"Watch out for Marisa."
Funny line (mostly Text)
"If you catch Marisa, tell her she owes me 100,000 (game currency) for the items she took last week."

last thing before i play Wow.
if i was the lead developer with ZUN i would try to make Marisa only appear after a certain Patch or even.
Like she would of gone out to the other side of the barrier and maybe three major patches later, she returns as a vendor of sorts in the Forest. Her items would be like beginning max level gear (Blues) in exchange, you give her some money and the required item. (For one of the orb she sells, like five of a certain metal bar, thee of one herb and about 1000 of the currency for the game.)

Moon Rabbit Reisen
What would be so bad about Gensokyo being reintegrated with the rest of the Earth? It would benefit from all the wonders of the modern world.

Gensokyo only exists because it's protected from the modern world. With the advent of science, mankind has stopped believing in magic and monsters, and so their presences in the outside world has faded. In Gensokyo, however, all the things people no longer believe in flourish. If the barrier is lost, the only thing protecting all the youkai, fairies, gods, magicians, etc will be lost, and they will vanish. All that would be left are humans to who have never even seen the world outside their own for over two hundred years.

There should be a Touhou MMORPG that plays like Valkyrie Sky.

Complete with the epic dbu music.

Oh dear. Something like this went on for two pages without my input?

-Ahem-

You're both using things related to existing characters too much. Being an MMO, we would have our own characters. Thus, we would have our own danmaku, spellcards and all.

Basically, we should be able to choose the appearance, size, quantity, power, speed, trajectories, charge time, and duration of our bullets. Leveling up would increase the cap for just how far we can raise those stats, as well as our health, flight speed, and possibly ground speed and various melee parameters.

Balancing these out would be a point system. Each player would have a certain amount of points to allocate to their character's stats. If one were to say, Utsuho it out and fire a giant, overpowered bullet, that person wouldn't be able to rapid fire a whole bunch of those.

Classes should be optional, there for those who don't want to get into slightly complicated customization options, but not required. Mandatory, preset classes are one of the major problems of MMOs. That, and lock-on targeting systems. Dodging isn't a semi-random, calculated hit or miss. We play Touhou; we should know that much already.

Next up: PvP. Again, this is Touhou. Danmaku battles are as common as conversations. Isolating them to specific areas would make them rarely happen, and obviously would mean a lack of amazing environments. Players should be encouraged to settle things by force. There's nothing like wandering far deeper into the Forest of Magic than you know you should've gone, to stumble across an Extra ranked character with a stroke of boredom.

Additional idea: Fairies. They group around powerful youkai, as sort of a warning system. It would be interesting if after a certain level, each player is able to design their own fairies and determine their behavior. The closer other players get to you, the more of your fairies they will encounter. The more powerful you are, the more powerful and numerous your fairies will be. They can be killed off for experience, and be used to determine where you might not want to go. But you'll likely never encounter your own fairies, as they'll make sure not to get to close.

Well Meiling, the list of different spell cards...
Green: Easiest to find. No connection to exiting cards.
Blue: Lesser versions of famous spell cards or new ones.
Red: New cards and the most powerful you can get.
It shows that Blue would have a few cards that are used by some characters, half are new. (the Lesser Purple power is a Blue cosmetic card. If anything, the ratio of existing cards would be 25% Exist 75% New.)
Green and Red are completely new...

And thank you for bringing up the Lock-on Target system. Well since this idea will never exists, i would make it more like a 3rd person type of fighting. I played S4 league for a good year. The combat is all mouse clicks and three weapons. I would do somewhat the same, incorporate numbers and mouse clicks for spells. Holding shift and hitting 1-4 number keys will activate the registered bomb.

Also, who said pvp has to be BG only? World of Warcraft has PVP servers where if you step into a lv 11-20 zone and up, you are flagged and ready to die. If you don't like that, they have PVE and RP.

The rest would be more technical but the point system and stat leveling cap are cool. Remember we are giving raw ideas and more ideas always help.
