Nova sighed as Arcane followed, he didnt like being around too much company, especially company he didnt really know well, but he walked, his nose working to scent a trace of Deer "talk like w...w....wh...what?" he asked Arcane, getting a tiny bit defensive, he knew full well what Arcane had meant but he wanted the bigger male to explain himself.

"its j..j..just the way i t...t....talk when i'm n..n....n...near others" he said shortly, annoyed at Arcane'ss stomach, "if you d...d....dont keep it quiet w...w....w...we'll n..n..n....never get l..l.l...lunch for our m...m...m..mates" he whispered, right in Arcane's ear, so that he didnt spook the deer. Creeping around until he was behind them, he leapt forwards, trying to sound like a vicious creature.

Nova had succeeded in spoking a couple of young fawns, wich had in turn spooked their mothers and so they had taken of running, however, the Lead Stag was having none of it, and he'd turned on Nova, its eyes gleaming hatred of all predators, one antler already half broken off, leaving a sharp broken point.

Nova froze in his tracks, the Stag was charging him, it made a couple of flase charges, but had decided to try and stab poor little Nova with his antlers instead. All nove could think of was how small the horned Shakaiyos horns were campared to this big creature.

The stag, snorting in fury ran at Nova, its head tilted down and to the sode so that it could peirce Nova's body with its shaprt points.

Nova yelped as the stag hit, and he heard something snap, he lay where the deer has tossed him, the shoulder he lay on hurt like crazy and it took all his strength just to keep breathing properly. He was sure he'd got bruised ribs, but for some reason the ground around his hurt shoulder felt wet.

He yelped again as Arcane turned him "th...th..the deer?!" he whispered, as his wound was exposed, some of the antler had snapped off, and he had a deep wound, down to the bone, a bit of deer horn stuck into his shoulderbone, cracking it severely, he'd be able to walk a little if he didnt' try and move that shoulder at all.

Nova shivered "c..c...c...cold" he said, wincing as Arcane looked him over, he gritted his teeth and yelped again as Arcane shoved him on his back, feeling sick as well as cold.

Nova shivered more, the further Arcane took him *s...s....s...so c..c...c...cold" he mumbled he didnt have the strenght to yepl when Arcane layed him down, though his shivering got less when he was covered with some sort of fur. "Kyr ....i'm s..s....sorry" he mumbled, his breathing slow and shallow, his red fur getting redder and sticky around the wound, staining the ground beneath him.

Nova cringed from the acrid scent of the fur, he almost spat it out of his mouth, but then Arcane yanked the bit of antler out, his jaw automatically clamped down on it, his yells muffled by it.

He's almost passed out, but managed to keep hold of himself. He swallowed the bile that rose into his throat from the pain, he was very surprised that after Arcane had bandaged him up, he sat on his shoulder, he only half understood that it was for.

After a while Arcane got off, and Nova was shaking in relief as well as pain, "th...th...th...thank you" he said, barely a whisper, he closed his eyes into a light sleep, exhasuted by bloodloss.

Nova woke a day or so later, he felt very weak, and hungry ... but he didnt feel as bad as before, he nosed the furr away and dragged himself out by his good leg, standing just inside the cave entrance on three legs, a little shaky but not too bad ... or so he thought .. he moved to put his other leg down and immediatly felt sick from pain, his shoulder like fire burning when he moved it.
