At his title, he turned his eyes back to her face, that strange but beautiful face. She was a beautiful wild dog, even if she was looking sickly right now. Appearance wasn't what drew him in, anyway. It was her enigmatic aura, the sense of mystery about her. Her gentle spirit.
He smiled in response to her question and gave a little shrug in the best way he could manage. "Perhaps not as warm as I feel right now with you, Subira." And that was truthful. He did feel exceptionally warm today. "But I rarely feel cold."
He whined a little as she was pained by her wounds and reached out to nuzzle her, licking her across the side of her maw. "If you wish to finish what I brought, you can. My stomach can happily wait until tomorrow." He smiled. "You need your strength, Subira, and what sort of knight would I be if I put myself before you?" He shook his head. "My very purpose is to protect you and I almost failed in that task. I will not let you down again."

She looked in his eyes.. those deep red. He reminded her of her sister.. How she was when they were little. She was.. the quiet one while Imamu was the one out there looking for food and bringing it back. Her paw softly pushed the carcass.. Looking at it for a minute then going back to him. She now ailed to eat but seemed more satisfied being with him for the moment.
She looked away.. she didn't know how to take such a compliment. Was it romantic? Was it the way that Imamu had shown her. 'Affection'.. and 'I'll never leave you'. 'Never let you down.' Thoughs were all very flowery words but it was hard to believe when you, yourself let yourself down.
"What is that suppose to mean.. Knight." Looking at him as she slowly flowed her arms out and brought the carcass in. "You know.. eating alone.. seems lonely. I guess..we can share it..?" One ear went up as the other was down and planned. "Your priorities strike me as in[/human] < not wilddog. For I would not be a good medicine wolf if I didn't also share. Rarely I find ever sharing a meal... and it has become rather lonely."

He smiled warmly at her. "Then we will share it." He replied, keeping close as he lowered his snout to push it against the carcass she had drawn closer to herself. Elrohir, too, was unaware of his feelings towards her. All he knew was that life without her would be unbearable.
He cared so deeply for her.
"Come tomorrow I will hunt again. I will catch something bigger and you can eat as much as you wish. That I promise you, Subira."
