"Sounds lovely to me," Bovi responded, patting her hand gently and smiling.
Stacie had been watching the entire time, quietly of course, crying a little bit on the inside. These lab kids grew so much quicker then normal children. It was literally just a year and a half ago that Bovidae was a toddler that was just placed on her doorstep for her to take care of, and now he was going out on a date. It was like motherhood while pressing down on the fast forward button.
"You two have fun, and don't get into any trouble," she said with a wave.

"Don't worry, we'll behave." Ebony assured her with a bright smile, "I'll have him in by a decent hour."
She led Bovi outside and grinned lightly in the air. "Let me call us a taxi, hm?" she told him. "Unless you've got a car."

Bovi laughed embarrassingly. "I haven't been able to really learn to drive well yet. It's harder to push the pedals properly with feet like mine..." he said, motioning over to the garage, more to the garage door with a large dent in it.
"So a taxi might be a better choice..."

"Don't worry, they won't even let me take the exam. Apparently the people there think I'm blind." the purple female commented with a shrug before dialing up the taxi company.
The number was in her phone's memory and it wasn't too long at all before the cab had sped them to Chateau D'Amore...which was right next to the restaurant they were going to: -insert fancy name here- (which is a very hard thing to write on a sign, particularly with the -s). -ifnh- or infinity as some people called it (I guess ifnh is hard to say and sounds like infin) was a rather nice restaurant for hip young people who wanted to take someone on a snazzy date, particularly after things like prom.
The lighting was dark because neon blue decorations were around to light up the walls. The booths were black leather and the tables a shiny black that seemed lacquered with all sorts of colored sparkles and markings like a night sky. Really, it was a kind of cool place to be at and the food was amazing.

Bovi looked around at the new settings with an approving glance. He had been here before, or well, around here before. He honestly thought it would feel odd coming to this place without a date, so he never actually entered, but all he heard were good things.
"I love the choice," he said with a smile before offering her his arm.
"Shall we?"

"Sure." Ebony laughed lightly, taking his arm and heading into the building.
They were taken to a rather comfy table - Ebony liked the booths since they were soft and nice to sit on, so there they were, seated at a shiny black table on a black leather couchy thing. "So what have you been up to lately, hm?"

Bovi laughed lightly. "Nothing interesting. Helping out around the house mostly. We're planting a garden in the back yard again this year. I was weeding a bit when you arrived. Luckily for me keeping my hair braided keeps it from becoming a total mess."
He took a moment to peer at the menu. though only for a second.
"And what about yourself? Anything interesting happening at the Cirque?" he asked, his attention back on Ebony, as it should be.

"Oh? Any idea what you guys will be planting? Fruits, vegetables, just flowers?" the older spawn seemed quite fascinated by this.
"Just training for the summer show and a few holiday events." she told him with a wave of her hand, glancing over the menu before closing it back up.

"Vegetables mostly. Tomatoes, yellow squash, different varieties of peppers, cucumbers. We do have a separate area in the garden for strawberries and rhubarb though. The rhubarb is just about ready to be harvested," he prattled on. It was the pride side of him, he couldn't really help it, and Ebony didn't seem to really mind.
"Same old then?" he queered with a tilt of his head as the waiter came up to the table.
"Can I start you two off with something to drink?" he asked the two of them.
"Iced tea please," Bovi responded, and the man wrote it down.

"Just a water." she told the server politely and with a small smile before returning her attention to Bovi. "Yes, same old same old." she agreed, "I've been taking the extra time off from activities to visit friends and whatnot."
"Is your brother going to be helping you plant things? Or is he still too awkward about the whole bending over thing?"

"Yes, bending over is still an issue for him right now, but he's becoming less awkward in his body, which is good," he said with a smile and a nod.
"Do you think that performing is what you want to do with your life in the long run, occupation wise I mean..." Bovi inquired, slightly curious as she seemed, to him, to be trailing away from the cirque. Perhaps it was just something to do while she decided what she really wanted out of life. Who knew, thus his question.

She laughed a little, picturing the poor deer boy trying to bend over. "poor baby, he's probably having a lot of trouble."
"Well, I intend to have a family at some point, and maybe work in helping with kids, but I like performing for the most part. Being a star just isn't my thing."

"Perhaps you could be a dance or acting teacher once you feel ready to move on to a new profession? Take your love of performing and share it with children who wish to learn it as well," Bovi said as the waiter returned with their drinks.
"Have you all decided on what you would like to eat for this evening?" he queried in typical waiter like fashion.
"I think so, what about you Ebony?"

Ebony thought for a moment before nodding, "That does sound like a good idea. I know several people who've been wanting to learn, and lots of the little kids ask me to help them."
The purple female smiled up at him in her usual bright manner and recited her order - a small steak and some fries. The steak was because she was eating out somewhere nice, the fries just a little treat she was fond of.
"You can order whatever, Bovi." she assured him with a light pat on the hand.

Bovi laughed and patted Ebony's hand back.
"Do not worry my dear, I was planning on it," he said with a smile and a quick wink before ordering. It was a Chicken Kiev dinner that came with a side salad, which he got with poppyseed dressing, and onion potatoes.
"I do hope I don't embarrass myself, I haven't gone dancing in ages," he commented, brushing the hair out of his eyes.
