Riku Elmwick cupcakemichi I am proud to say that next year I will be one of the members in my school's VERY FIRST PIT. XD So far, we're at two confirmed members- to be getting more from our MASSIVE flute section. Congrates! You'll enjoy it I can almost garenty. Oh yes. I certainly will. XD

i was in the pit for 3 outa 4 yrs of high school. i played everything. it was a blast. i lead the pit for most of those yrs.as for 4 mallet parts, they can be tricky, for first timers keepin control of them can be eh. but it was fun. did anyone's band director have pit members on battery instruments? like mine said for pre-game parades and while in the stands (oh yeah, and drum battles) everyone plays something while at half-time we will have a pit ensemble. and btw, has anyone ever seen a pit used a dump?

Riku Elmwick Awsome! Yay it's killing me not knowing what instument I'm on this year. Oh what is your guys opinoun on the FOUR MALLETS!? Oh and if you want to see an awsome video of rythem x go to my profile. I had to play four mallets last season. I also had to use gloves because the wood on the sticks gave me horrible blisters and band-aids wouldn't stay on. I played vibes on that particular song so I had to concentrate on pressing the pedal and using the mallets at the right time. It wasn't that hard and it didn't take long to get used to either.

I found out yesterday how many kids are supposed to be in my pit this year.
If all goes according to plan, we're going to have ten.
Ten.
Holy moly...
Three of them aren't that good at mallets yet, three have played piano for years, two play flute normally, one is a bassoon, and his sister is a tuba. And one of them still can barely read music.
...those categories above overlap a little, but still.
This is gonna be epic. 8D
