(( XD Well, although Nina was trying to be tricky, it doesn't mean that her plan would actually work! ))

Well, it was a little disappointing that Ebony was able to guess the answer correctly on the first try, but it didn't make the game any less fun -- she was just going to have to try harder next time! Well... if there was a next time; Nina wasn't too sure how much longer she was going to be able to wander around without Ephron noticing that she was missing. As a matter of fact, she started to wonder if he had already noticed that she was gone at all, seeing as she was still visible out the shop's main window. She turned her head slightly to get another glance through the invisible wall of glass. Hmm... still talking. He probably knows I'm out here, but still... she mused.

Before any more time had passed, Nina couldn't help herself but to snicker at Ebony's reply. It was still a confusing color for Nina to have chosen, but maybe she shouldn't make it an object so obvious next time? "That's right! It was the grass! You got it!" she laughed. "Now it's your turn!" Nina was pretty sure they had more time to play at least one more round. After all, she sure didn't want to have to head back in early and catch more of the same old drivel from before.

Nina giggled along with Ebony, feeling kind of glad that she wasn't actually expecting the answer to have been grass. "Then I guess we're both weird!" Nina chirped once she caught hold of her voice once more. It wasn't meant to be a put-down; quite the opposite, in fact -- strangeness wasn't usually a bad thing to her. One of the first things she had ever said in reference to her guardian was 'You're weird,' after all. The gigantic grin on her face visibly displayed these feelings well enough.

"Mint?" she pondered aloud as she began to look around the place. Mint... there were very few times she had heard this word to refer to something. Mainly, it was to describe a flavor of ice cream that Ephron really liked. At least, with this in mind, she was able to get the color in her head, but there was so little in the area that could be called "mint." After a moment of silent confusion, she motioned toward the leaves of a weed growing in the grass a few paces away, "That flower? Or... or that trailer?" She pointed to a minivan parked outside a shop a block away. All of these were more of a pale or washed-out green, though.

Her eyes grew wide when she realized the other instance that she had heard of "mint" being used as a color. Reaching up, she tugged at a lock of her hair to indicate it, preferring not to say it out loud. Nina was almost as far as one could be from being prideful, but "modest" wasn't really the right way to put it, either.

Nina's face displayed her surprise quite clearly once she was able to spot the correct answer. "R-Really?" she asked with a weak, sheepish smile; a mild blush crept onto her cheeks as well.

She took a quick look back through the shop's window, to find that Ephron and the man behind the counter were shaking hands. Hmm, that must mean that they were at the end of their conversation. But Nina didn't want to leave yet! How often was it that she could play a game with someone else? Such was the annoyance of being an only child.

Stretching the limits, she held up an index finger. "One more round, okay?" she grinned. Maybe if they made it quick, she wouldn't get into trouble. However, this hinged solely on the chance that Ephron hadn't even noticed she was gone yet -- if that were the case, then taking longer wouldn't really matter.

She looked around, trying to pick something small this time, something that wasn't immediately visible and wasn't a color that had already been chosen. She found a tiny wildflower growing in a bed of large yellow and orange flowers, of a color that wasn't often found in much else. She kept her eyes moving, but stopped them when she looked down the street in an effort to throw off the direction. "I spy something blue! Or... or purp--" she pondered a moment. The color of the flower looked blue and purple at the same time! "Umm, something bluish-purple!" she giggled as she turned back to Ebony.

"Mmm," Nina smiled, nodding. "You were the only one that was really purple out here -- I couldn't pick that color!" she laughed, though had to admit that she had been tempted to pick the color anyway. Purple was such a pretty color!

Rocking back and forth on her feet, her hands latched onto each other behind her back, Nina wondered if she should say anything about the color Ebony had spotted among the bed of flowers. She didn't actually ask if the flower was the correct answer, but it was close enough. Hmm... maybe if she just gave the woman a push? "Why don't you go over and check?" she sang, despite knowing full well that it was the correct answer.

Nina continued to rock back and forth a little on her stocky feet, leaning to the side a little as if she was trying to glance over Ebony's shoulder despite being a couple of yards away. She bit at her bottom lip slightly as the older spawn took a closer look, hopping in place once the woman wandered back over. Nina's hands were now at her sides rather than behind her to keep her balance. "I think so, too!" she chirped, "So I guess you got that round right!"

She was silent for a few seconds, grabbing at her skirt with her untaloned hand as she rolled a thought over in her mind. "I think I'm gonna hafta go, before Ephy gets mad at me for coming out here by myself," she huffed slightly, but still happy with how well the game went. "You think I'll be able to see you again?" Nina was hopeful, and she really liked Ebony; she was so nice!
