Grey eyes caught Devi's smile and Damian couldn't stop his own smile from widening. This one didn't look nearly as forced as the first one did by the stairs. She was actually quite pretty when she was smiling normally. He didn't mention it though, having a feeling if he drew attention to it she'd get embarrassed and then wouldn't smile again. She seemed like a shy girl, which he didn't mind. He just handled them a little differently than the confident ones.
The red head was too concentrated on cleaning her chin to notice her flinching. When she said she didn't sing he was a bit disappointed but it didn't take him long to come up with an alternative. "Well I could always use a tambourine player." He glanced up at her with a wink, then went back to work. He nearly had her chin clean which was good, he didn't like putting girls in pain.
When she mentioned wanting to hear him play he grinned. "Awesome, you'll have to tell me your favourite song so I can play it for you. Maybe I'll even sing, if you don't mind listening to mediocre singing." He laughed, he could get by with his singing at karaoke or in private, but it'd never cut it in the music industry. Finishing up with her chin he crumpled the swab dropping it next to the disinfecting swab. "Almost done." He smiled and grabbed the Neosporin and then paused a moment. How was he going to apply it? He could put it on a piece of gauze, but that might be rough on her scrape. On the other hand he could use his fingers, which were clean after all. It took him all of a second to decide to just use his finger, it would hurt less. He squirted a bit of the ointment onto his index finger and began to dab it on her scrape lightly.

Devi hadn't listened to much music since her boy craze days, so most of the only songs she really knew were Jonas Brothers. But that wasn't something a sixteen year old Devi was going to say. However, she was also a big fan of John Mayer back in her music-listening days. "Do you know, um," she started, trying to think of the name. "Your Body is a Wonderland?" If only Devi could remember the lyrics, she'd now realize how sexual that song is and would have been much more embarrassed asking Damian to play and sing it for her.

Damian was concentrating on tending to her scrape so he was a bit off guard when she request Your Body is a Wonderland. His eyebrows shot up, but then he smiled and nodded. "Yeah, I know that song." He had played it to an ex, he couldn't remember which one off the top of his head. "I could bring my guitar over to your house sometime and play for you?" He pulled back having finished putting the ointment on. Using the hand free of Neosporin he picked up a band-aid and after a moment's difficulty managed to open it up without getting too much left over Neosporin on it. He leaned forwards again, carefully lining the band-aid up and then pressing it against her skin, smoothing the edges out. He hovered for a moment as if thinking about something. In a second he made his decision and he leaned in even closer kissing her chin softly. "There, a kiss to make sure it gets better." He pulled back and smiled down at her.

If Devi's face wasn't red before, it was red as a ******** cherry now. Devi had never really been kissed by a boy before - or at least, not in recent years. She believed the first and last time was when Joshua Glassman kissed her on the cheek during her Bat Mitzvah. She wasn't sure how to react, she was paralyzed by her shock at this moment. Granted, it was only a kiss on the chin after fixing a band-aid, like a mother does to a baby for a booboo, but it still meant something to Devi.
She did her best to maintain herself, looking down at her feet, but couldn't resist smiling. After a few seconds, she got a grip and looked back up at him. "Its all better, no more blood," she said. Blood talk was probably not too flirty, but Devi didn't know better.

Damian had to bite his lip when he saw how red she was getting. He wasn't used to having quite this strong of an effect on girls. Not that he was complaining, he felt flattered really. When he was in control of himself he just smiled at her.
Her words made his smile turn into a grin. "Yes, no more blood is a good thing." He was tempted to kiss her, a real kiss this time just to see how she would react, and his eye flicked down to her lips for a moment considering it. He could, but then he had a feeling that might be too much all in one day, the poor thing's head might explode. Instead he looked to the first aid kit and started cleaning up the wipes he used shoving them into his pocket to dispose of later. The first aid kit itself got closed and stored back in the back seat. He closed the rear door and moved to stand in front of Devi again. "So, do you need a ride home, Devi?" He smiled, leaning against the edge of the door's frame, his arm bracing itself on the arch of the door.

She wasn't sure what her parents would say about her taking a ride home from a boy from school. But, she supposed she'd fine out soon enough! "Yes, please, if I walk home, I might trip again and have my brains spill onto the sidewalk." Oh, hey, more gruesome blood talk. Way to go, Devi. It is such a turn on when girls talk about their skulls cracking open. Mmm, yeah.
She put both legs in the front seat and strapped herself in with the seat belt as she told Damian her address. It wasn't too far from school, so she hoped it wouldn't be much of an inconvenience. Even if it was, she was already buckled in anyways.

His eyebrows shot up again as he talked about her brains spilling on the sidewalk. This girl was....morbid to put it nicely. He supposed he could get used to it though, as long as her version of dirty talk didn't involve dead bodies bumping and grinding. That would be a little much. "We wouldn't want that to happen, brains tend to do better in your head." He tapped the side of her head lightly and then backed up shutting the door once she was all buckled in.
Walking around the car he opened the driver's side door and took off his backpack slinging it into the backseat. Pulling himself into the car he shut the door and buckled up. Starting the car he backed it up and drove out of the parking lot. As he drove he talked, his eyes occasionally flicking back to her. "So, when did you want me to serenade you?" He smiled, joking around with her, though he was serious about playing for her. "Maybe we could see a movie or get coffee afterward?"

"Like a date?" she asked. She always thought it was stupid in movies when characters asked that question when it seemed pretty obvious that it was a date. Now Devi understood. She had only just met him, but she had watched enough romantic comedy and high school movies to know that a first date could happen quickly, and movies were the closet thing that Devi had to an experience on this subject matter. A lot of subject matters, really. "I think I'd like that."
She looked down at her hands, they were trembling. The nerves were getting to her, but she did her best not to show it. She sat on her hands, though that only made her right foot tap nervously. "I'd have to ask my parents," she started, not sure what she was saying. "But maybe Friday night? My parents don't like me going out much on school nights."

He smiled, she was cute. "Yeah, like a date." He wondered if this would be her first date. It seemed likely if only because of her nervousness and the way she blushed when he complimented her. His mind of course started to go down the path of if this was her first date then she still hasn't cashed in her V card, but he tried to pull his mind out of the gutter. He had a feeling that she wouldn't be the type of girl to put out one a first date, and he wasn't the type of guy who would force her. When she agreed to the date he grinned. "Awesome, it'll be fun. I promise."
He didn't notice her shaking hands, too busy keeping his eyes on the road, but he'd look over at her when they came up to red lights and stop signs. When she mentioned parents he really hoped she wasn't going to ask him to meet them, he didn't do well with that kind of thing. "Friday's fine. What kind of movie do you want to see? I think there's a rom-com coming out?" Most girls he took to the movies wanted to see rom-coms or chick flicks which weren't exactly his kind of movie, but there's not much he wouldn't do for a girl.

"I haven't the Nightmare on Elm Street remake or Kick-a** yet," she said plainly. She shot him a strange look for suggesting rom-coms, but then realized he was probably suggesting that for her tastes. She liked all sorts of movies, not only interested in action or horror, but she'd much rather see those genres than a romantic comedy. She felt rom-coms were all the same. They always start with the characters hating each other, then they love each other, then they lose contact, and they reconnect and everything is happily ever after. Lame.
"But if you want to see a romantic comedy, that's your choice," she teased.

Damn, this girl was just full of surprises. Her movie suggestions were actually movies he wanted to see. It was a very rare thing that he got to watch movies he liked with a girl. When she teased him he laughed and coming up to a stop sign he turned and grinned at her. "Are you kidding? I've seen enough romantic comedies to last a life time." He laughed and began to drive again. He was nearly to her house.
"Let's see Kick-a**, and then maybe we can see the Nightmare on Elm Street remake next week?" A week in advance planning was about all the commitment she was going to get from the red head, but she didn't need to know that.

A second date planning was far more commitment than the first-time-dating girl was ready for, but Damian didn't need to know that.
"Okay," she said softly. "Okay. That sounds fun." She was excited and nervous for her first date, and her mind was already racing with all the things she would have to write in her diary about this day. It would be a lot.
"Um," she started. She looked at the pile of books and papers that Damian had earlier helped her collect and had placed by her feet. She took a notebook, gently tore out a corner of the piece of paper, making sure the tear was a nice and straight rip. On the scrapped piece of paper she quickly jotted down her name in big letters: DEVORAH GELLNER, followed by her phone number, and put it by the dashboard. "My number."

He smiled at her, "Great," He was finally out of his slump, he had not only one but two dates lined up and he had a feeling he could at least get to first base, if he went about it the right way. Though any further would take some wooing on his part.
As she was scribbling down her number he pulled up to her house, shifting the Jeep into park. Taking the scrap with her number on it he slipped it into his empty pocket. "Can I borrow that?" He pointed to the notebook and pen. He smiled as she nodded and handed it over. "Thanks," On the page she had ripped the corner off of he wrote his name across the top 'Damian Cole' and then his number underneath. "There you go, I'll call you." He handed the notebook and pen back to her, his gray eyes looking into her maroon ones.

"Okay," she said. She needed to stop saying the word, it was getting repetitive. But she felt like she was witnessing these events play out, her body was in autopilot, she just laid back and watched what happened next. She sat still in silence for about ten seconds longer than she needed to before grabbing her stuff and getting out of the car. "Thanks for the ride! See you this weekend! Bye!"
Her farewell was said in hyper-speed, a flurry of nervous utterances as she started feeling in control again, self-aware and nervous as hell. She held onto her books tightly as she hurried to her front door, looking back every few steps, and she even skipped for a step or two. She waved good bye as she got to her front door, and then scampered inside, shutting the door behind her, peeking out the window to see if he was still there.
So much had happened that she had never experienced before, and if there was one thing she knew for certain, it was that she was going to need a new diary.

Damian smiled. "Anytime! See you later." He watched as she whipped out of the car like a tornado, then went up to her house. He stayed there, watching to make sure she got in the house safely, grinning as he watched her skip, she was definitely cute. He waved back to her, and sat for a few seconds before shifting into drive and pulling away from the curb. He was looking forwards to Friday, and he wondered if tomorrow would be too soon to call.
