uryu ishida The piston tube being attached to the barrel prevents mechanical accuracy. It flexes and shakes the barrel. That, though, you really can't change without seriously altering the design of the AK-47. (To my knowledge.) So, the next best thing to improve accuracy is to get a good pair of sights.

Sorry for the long wait guys. Apparently, someone forgot to fax something very important and it is impossible to reach anyone to speed things up. Although I can legally take posession of it since it's been more than 7 days, if the state ******** things up (which they always do) I get it confiscated with no refund. Best not to take the chance IMHO. I promise to take pics as soon as I can. Whenever the hell that may be...
scream scream scream scream scream
EDIT: All it took was for me to b***h about it. Just got the call today that everything came through. Now all I have to do is find time to make the drive there.

I took her to the range last weekend and everything worked perfectly. 160 rds and only 1 stovepipe from a rough looking rim. I have a pic of the target if you guys promise not to laugh.

Yeah, kind of all over the place, and it seemed to kick to the left as well. It's also my first time with a rifle, so I know I have room to improve. The more concentrated clusters are from when I was shooting normal and the wild ones were with the stock folded. Actually not too hard to handle like that, just got heavy kind of quick.

At what range were you shooting? about 50 yds, but I had a ton of fun and got better as the day went on so I'd call it a success.

They buy 'em 'cause they're fun, cheap, powerful, and reliable. Speaking of which, would you know of an AK that's better than a WASR-10 yet not too much more expensive? My friend's getting one, and if I'ma mooch off him, I don't want no WASR. xp
