Maelios watched her with a sort of dumbfounded expression, "I... uhh... Yeah, sure." He wasn't sure what to think, he had never met anyone who wasn't quite as sheltered as he was. He had to admit that he kind of liked the change. Nodding, he stepped after her, allowing her to lead the way since she obviously knew more about this area than he had. "Where to first?"

Kitsune kept her pace an even steadied one for Maelios to follow. " Cawwots!" She said with the sack in her mouth. She looked around for the bushes that had the wild carrots in them. A little grey squirrel had ran out from under a dark green bush with a carrot in between it's teeth. She smiled as she trotted over to the bush. She set the bag down to see how many carrots were hiding in the bush. "There's about five or six carrots here. How many do you think you'd eat, Mael?" She asked the blue and orange fox as she looked back a him. He uprooted about three for herself since at least one or two would go great with their dinner for the night.

Taking a moment to think, he slowly answered, "I think two would be good." Glancing off into the distance, "Is there any apple trees around here? Or maybe cherries." He felt his stomach rumbling just thinking about it. The food would be good, and maybe for once he'd have a chance to have some fun and relax. He smirked as he watched the squirrel scurry up a tree, chattering angrily at the two of them. Chuckling, "Maybe we should leave a couple for the squirrel?"

Kitsune looks up to see the angry squirrel. " I'm sorry Mr.Squirrl!" She apologized to the animal as she put back a carrot to leave two behind for it. She looked at Maelios as he asked about apples and cherries. She took a whiff in the air for the strong cherry aroma. " Hm... I think there's a cherry tree a bit that way, Mael." She told him as she made sure the four carrots were in the bag. She picked up the sack and headed off towards the faint cherry scent she had picked up.
After a bit of walking she smiled to find some cherry, apple, and orange trees in front of them. She set the sack down next to a cherry tree." Pick what you'd like, Maelios. Nature gives as long as you give back with the seeds that are leftover." She told him as she started to pick some oranges from the ground, making sure bugs have not gotten to them.

Giving a quick nod, Maelios jumped up one of the trees (not as gracefully as he would have liked), and began examining the apples on the branches. "Hmmm... carefully, he snatched a small branch in his mouth, carrying it back down. The branch had two large ripe apples hanging off of it. "You think this might work?" He was oddly proud of himself for being able to grab it and not fall. "They look juicy."

Kitsune nods as she looked at the apples. "They're perfect, Mael! How about some cherries now? I've gotten a few ranges to go with our food." She asked him then took hold of the branch to get the apples off to put into the sack. She checked them over to makes sure they were good. She nods in approval as she puts them away.

Maelios gave a long nod as his eyes shifted about the valley in search of a cherry tree. After a moment he saw one nestled with fresh fruit just beyond the apple trees. "That way." He motioned and began a brisk walk in the direction that he saw the tree.

Kitsune giggled as she took hold of the bag as they headed off towards the Cherry tree. Do joo fink der be lots?" She asked as she kept close to Maelios. She didn't want their time to end.
