Wow. Either that's a super old dress, or you had way awful luck; my guess is a combination of the two, with a measure of "weird colored fabric" adding into the mess. Lavender is a hard color to find in decent fabrics, I've noticed. Out of everything I've seen on that dress, I can say that Fanplusfriend does still have issues with their bows if they're larger than about three inches across, but the rest of the problems with it ...
I haven't seen anything that awful from anyone but Momo's. The fitting issues especially. They've drastically improved since you bought that, I can promise.
Their materials are way improved now for most of their pieces. They use cotton twill or suiting material for almost everything, and wool for most of the rest.
For example:
That jacket is a poly-cotton blend. My roommate bought it last year for Christmas for herself. Fits her perfectly, and has no flaws.
The JSK I have from them [of which I have no clear photos to show] has some issues with the straps and the appliques aren't embroidered down, but the main points of tailoring aren't nearly as disastrous as that thing they sent you. D:

I heard a while back they weren't so much "hit or miss". Just "miss". Like Spuntino said, their materials and general skill have improved. They're much more of a "hit" now. xD
On the plus side, though, Alpha Drug, I love the colour of that dress. Maybe because if I see something in a cool colour I want to have it, but who knows. xD

T^T wtf is with different shades of white and black? I've seen different shades of lace with Bodyline and had to seam rip them out too, (good job at that btw, i can't tell where the lace used to be) and heard about companies dying lace black, so that it fades in the washer. Completely debunks my "When in doubt, order it in black" theory.
I'm sorry that happened, esp. since it was supposed to be a dream dress. :/

Their shipping can take forever and a day sometimes. I have a friend who bought from them three times and plans to never buy from them again, due to her bad experiences.

Alright, I've made up my mind not to order from F+F. I've heard much more negative things about them than positive. Also, I will only order online if I trust whomever I am buying from, and... I don't completely trust them. I think I'll stick to Anna House, because their prices are a bit cheaper than others, they use only good quality materials and I have never heard anything bad about them (besides shipping being so damn expensive). I don't work yet, but when I get a job I'll save up for some brand-name stuff! I'm trying...

I have never been disappointed with items made by them. Good luck getting a job and saving up monies!
