"I think I have your number from Alex."
"Oh good! And I'll have yours from the list of those in Lab, so that's all taken care of!" Zeke beamed at the Kitten as that was tidied up nice. He should have known Alex likely would have supplied it - how else would Lucia have called him otherwise to meet up now after all? - but that was hindsight. She had his number, he had hers, and all was well - or so it seemed.
Tending to Anastacia and answering her in the face of her confused yet matter of fact reply, Zeke was at first unaware of the Kitten's sudden shift in demeanor. His eyes were on his ward, assuring her that what he said was true, but he immediately put them on the Kitten Frei when the tinkling sound of glass and ice hitting the floor was heard. The vet looked alarmed but mildly so at first, however when he caught sight of Lucia and the look on her face, that first look mingled with that of confusion and concern.
"Luci--?"
He was cut off by the Kitten's clipped and whispered words, left to ogle her as she suddenly rose in the air, threw some money down, and took off like a shot. The vet gaped at the door as it started to close behind her, but was on his feet in a flash as the door hit the jam and the bells that hung above it.
"C'mon Anya!"
Zeke didn't wait for the Frei to rise before he too was moving through the diner. Patrons and staff gawked at him as he passed - and Anastacia as well as she took off behind her Guardian - but Zeke paid them no mind. He was confused and worried for the Kitten and knew he had to find her. He reached the street in record time, looking down both sides of the sidewalk he stood on before seeing her a short ways away. Given what had transpired, he ran to her, calling her name and reaching out to take her hand once he was near enough to.
"Lucia, what the..." The vet trailed off as he caught sight of the Kitten's face as well as the tears streaming down her cheeks. His brows raised and concern mounted, jaw hanging wordlessly. He paused a moment like he had in the diner - unable to begin to think what had caused this and uncaring of the reason right now - but suddenly swung around to stand in front of the Frei before promptly pulling her into a hug. "Hey...It's okay! Don't cry..."
Anastacia brought up the rear in this little parade out of the diner. Like Zeke, she had been taken right aback by the sudden crash of glass, ice, and water and had ogled the Kitten as much as her man had when the older Frei put on the display. Unlike her man, however, she was not spurned to come out of concern for the Kitten. Curiosity, certainly, but not concern. She didn't know this Frei after all and in the future would learn her following the pair was done out of the notion that one could not easily look away from something that caused a blatant and/or large disruption. That was the reason as well as the fact she was a newborn and following Zeke in places that weren't their home was second nature for now. So thanks to those things, she was there when the vet confronted the other Raevan and pulled her into an embrace.
The spider queen was lacking opinion of this and the vet's actions for the moment, but even floating just a little ways away as she was, she could see the show was not yet over. She watched in silence, lavender eyes flicking between both people with apathy for the situation but intrigue towards what was to happen now that Lucia had been so quickly found.

The frei was drawing in large gasps of air, her eyes tightly closed. She pushed her body away from Zeke, needing space, and slid her back down the light post, her ribbon curling under her where her legs would have collapsed had she had them. Her hands came up to cup her face, covering her eyes and hiding herself from the vet and young raevan. She was gasping for air, hardly taking in any oxygen as sobs escaped her throat and chest.
She had wanted to get away. That was why she ran. So why did he follow her? Lucia was starting to feel light headed with her gasps. It was like she had propelled her body too high in the air. But her gasps wouldn't slow. She couldn't steady her body. The frei zoned everything out and concentrated on herself. She was in control of her body. She needed to regain that control Her body should not control itself or be controlled by anyone else. Squeezing her eyes shut, the kitten drew in a deep breath and held it. Her heart pounded against her chest and it felt like her head was pounding in time with it.
Slowly releasing her breath, she gasped once more, but continued to empty her lungs. Drawing in another breath and holding it, Lucia felt her body calming and her head clearing. When she opened her eyes, the world was no longer streaming towards her.
"Sorry for making you leave. Sorry, Anya." She looked between the two, her cheeks now flushed from the scene she made.
"S-sometime it just kinda hits me. It can sneak up on me and hit hard all of a sudden," the frei murmured gingerly tucking her hair behind her ears before pushing it with her fingers all back into a sloppy bun.
