It's a shame that the Gym Leader team, by its nature, will not be as hard to beat. Hopefully it'll be just as challenging though.

You need to use the VS Recorder item, which is available in Platinum, HeartGold, or SoulSilver to watch.

Go to the Global Terminal in Jubilife or Goldenrod and go to the Red teleporter. Use the machine there to enable VS Recorder - Battle Video Mode. From there, you can watch battle videos.
To specifically watch some of the videos posted here, just search by number and type the number down.

Also I'd like to point out something that Arc and I found out about the VS Recorder.
I was battling someone who I questioned had hacked pokemon, when the battle ended I saved the video.
This is the interesting part, when I went to upload it I got an error message stating "There appears to be a problem with one of the recipient's Pokemon. Data was not sent."
This means one of the pokemon that was being used in the battle has been hacked. Since I've been using the same team in all my other battles that I've uploaded we knew it wasn't mine, thus confirming what I thought about the opponent's.

Would this detect shiny? or only stat hacks?

Well there weren't any shiny pokemon on his team however I have my shiny Wailord that's legit though so that didn't effect it. I think it checks for stats,location,and stuff like that and a few hex values as well.
And nope wasn't able to beat me, my only loss is to Linny still
