He found her lack of reaction to his other pokemon interesting, but chose not to address it. "Umbreons are interesting pokemon, you can use so many interesting strategies with them since they have enormous defensive capabilities and a variety of technical moves. Ghost types tend to have some interesting moves as well, the move Curse is a good example of this I think. Those seem like some interesting pokemon you have there."

Her lips spread softly in a content smile at his words. "They’ve done well for what I've needed" she said "I'm still learning myself" Still distracted with the direction they were driving she paused for a moment. "Well, I guess before we get there I should probably fill you in on a few things?" she started "Now that we know what our resources are with Pokémon. I got some information from..." there was a moments hesitance, as if she was trying to find the right word "a friend" she finished, with another pause, sounding uncertain if that description was correct. It seemed to do for now as she moved on, trailing a hand down to her bag, using it to blindly unzip the front and pull a folded piece of paper out, handing it to Zach.
"This is a map I’ve printed out, and upon suggestion, the aria in red is the best place to look for the backpack, and down at the green "X" I marked there is where we’re going to set up camp first night. We can work out a grid system.” Hazel eyes moved away from the stretch of sand, gazing over at him, as if waiting for him to say anything.

Zach looked over the map thoughtfully. "I see. This should be very helpful, I was afraid we may have ended up having to search the entire mountain for this backpack. I certainly wasn't looking forward to it. How did this person happen to know this information?" After he finished reading the map he folded it back up and slipped it into the pocket it was in before.

“The bag we’re going to be looking for belongs to Agent Nikki, apparently Agent Hayes is her partner and he was on the mission when it was lost in an avalanche. Lucky for us, he kept records of where the avalanche was and where Agent Nikki ended up when he found her.” Letting him look over the map all he needed, she settled back into her seat, leaning her head back against the head rest with a slight sigh, draping one of her hands over her side, the drive was not all that smooth, and it was starting to cause more soreness then she would have liked. Licking her lips slightly in discomfort, she continued “I do think we got off pretty lucky with that, but I’m sure we’re going to have other problems to deal with.”

"Hayes? I think I've met him actually." He grinned and said, "He's good at playing Super Crash Bros. Annihilation." He then said, "But you are most likely correct about the mountain, that's why I packed so much stuff in the first place. 'Hope for the best, and expect the worst' and all that. But the less time we have to spend combing these mountains, the fewer problems we run into." Zach started to notice Faleen's discomfort and looked at her a little closer. He noticed that she seemed really pale and she appeared to be moving awkwardly. "Are you alright? You don't look well." He said, sounding somewhat concerned.

“So you know who I’m talking about” She wasn’t too surprised, Hayes was a nice guy, and he did seem pretty popular, especially with the pokemon. She smiled a little at the comment about Super Crash brothers “that’s a video game right?” she had heard of it before, but never played it.
Nodding softly while Zach spoke, agreeing they had a lot of work cut out for them, the fact that Seth had only assigned them certain supplies they were allowed to bring made things a little more difficult, “I don’t think we should expect any less than a hard time, at least I can’t” she peered around, looking to the GPS on her bash before adjusting her direction, they hit more solid road, but not less bumpy. Nodding again when he asked her if she was alright, though it was a stiff nod, this was one of those things that was going to make this mission that much harder. “I got shot on the last raid mission. I’m still healing from it” she told him, unable to look away from the windshield since they were getting into windier road, with trees around.

"Yeah, it's a pretty popular game." At the mention of her wound, Zach grinned as he said, "Well, don't push yourself. I would rather take extra breaks rather than have to drag your unconscious self back to the vehicle or camp. Besides, it's not like we're on a strict timetable out here." Suddenly, an unpleasant thought struck Zach, "Um, by the way... how much experience do you have in wilderness survival?"

"Don't worry, I understand my limits. I'm not going to use it as an excuse to not be my fare share, but I'm not going to overdo it either." she'll just have to find a balance, thats all. it was going to be such a pain... A corner of her lips twitched up slightly at his last question. "experience? barely any, knowledge, not much"

Zach cringed a little at this. "Hoo boy... this might be tough then. Mountains like these can be very unforgiving, especially if you don't have experience in this sort of thing. If you would let me, I can help with that however... I have experience in this sort of thing. We'll probably be out here for awhile after all." As he said this, he grabbed the map again and took a closer look at it.

"I'll be glad to learn anything you can teach me" She told him, her eyebrows arched. oh that was good luck to, she knew it was going to be a problem since she hasn't ever been much of an outdoor person, she's tried to learn but was adapted for technology, not nature. "I'm a fast learner"

Zach nodded, relieved that she was willing to learn from someone else her rank. "That's good, being a fast learner always helps. I'm going to wait until we get to the mountain to start explaining things, since I find it easier to show how things work rather than simply explain them. But if there is something in particular you want to know, then ask away." As he was talking, he studied the map a little closer, first looking over the marked camp site and then other areas nearby it and around where they were coming in from.

"I will be sure to do that" she said, with a small smile, partly distracted since she had to pay attention to where they were going. "I don't have any questions yet." closing her mouth she signed a little, licking her lips again. "so is there a reason your being sent on this mission?" she asked after a moment of silence.

Zach's eye twitched. "Yeah, I'm here because of that incident with Team Galactic... I'm sure you know what I'm talking about, you were there after all." Zach looked away, his embarrassment plainly evident on his face. "I... don't normally act like that."

"ah, yes... I though you looked familiar" she chanced a glance over at him, seeing the look on his face, its one she understood well. "one of those cases where emotions got the better of you I take it? I'm in the same boat as you." she told him

"Yes, in that case I didn't stand a fighting chance against it. I won't do it again though, that's for sure." Zach had an annoyed look on his face as he said this. "But now you have me curious, what did you do to wind up here?"
