How amusing to watch her interact with her guardian. Those keen lavender eyes had the look of study in them as they glanced at Zeke, but Rivener knew Anya wasn't asking permission. He doubted the Spider would EVER feel the need to ask permission. Yet when Zeke gave that permission, the female just smiled as though pleased with her human's behavior. Most might have gotten their feathers ruffled and said something like "I don't need you to agree", but like a true Queen the Frei was above that. Rivener shook his head lightly to himself, intrigued all that much more.

She accompanied him to the door like a perfect host, though the Scorpion noticed the jewels on her head squinting in the light- they were eyes! She truly seemed to dislike daylight... When she paused near the door, the Sigel couldn't fault her for not bridging the rest of the way. She'd already done plenty, and proved that things weren't always one-sided with her. She might be sparse with her praise and warmth, but she would put up with personal discomfort for a while if it meant doing something nice for a new friend. At least Rivener HOPED he was a new friend.

Her aloof farewell was met with a mellow, sultry grin and a long look through lowered lashes, Rivener's best bedroom gaze. It was uncertain if he even knew he was doing it. He bowed his head at the Frei and then nodded his thanks to Zeke. "Goodbye," he returned, smiling as he left.
