"Hrn..." He seemed to ponder the elder male's words once more. He lived here inside the caves. The caves were his home. They were nice and dark and yet he'd managed to grow big, it seemed, even without light.
Wait, though. The big male had mentioned something strange. It wasn't just him who lived here... But others? "... They won't eat me, will they?"

"No. No one's going to eat you." Though some of the other members might scare the cub by telling him they would eat them as soon as they realized he was afraid of that. "We're all nice. We just like the dark."
Mostly because a lot of them were extremely light sensitive. He knew his own father almost never went out until at least dusk and he preferred late afternoon himself.

"It's nice." He nodded slowly, finally settling in enough that he felt comfortable rocking back into a sitting position, wings folding at his sides as he peered up at the elder male. "Didn't look for anyone else. Didn't think..." He frowned slightly at that. "Got real bright outside. No fun."

"It is." He nodded. "Plus it stays cool in the caverns even in summer so we don't have to worry about the heat." Which was a plus too when you were as fluffy as he was. His father had said he got the extra fluff from his mother who he'd still not really bothered to meet now that he'd remember her.
"You should be careful out there if you don't like the sun"

"Should..." He sighed dramatically in a way that only cubs (or over-exaggerating leopards) did, the weight of the world and everything clearly resting on his small shoulders. "But... Leli flew. All by himself!" His wings twittered for emphasis. "And he made it here safe, right?"

"You did." He nodded and smiled at the cub. "Though you must be tired from all that flying." At least he thought he'd be tired if he was that small and flew somewhere. It couldnt' be that easy.

"... Yeah." He sighed, still teetering on the verge of dramatic. "Too tired to fly home. Not good at poofing either." He had proven that rather clearly with his failed attempt to port. Both things left him with fewer options than he would have liked to have, sadly.
"Nice here, though. Safe to sleep?" He was hopeful. Maybe if he was safe from being eaten he would also be safe long enough to catch a little catnap.

"Well ... i was going to take a nap myself so you could nap with me?" He grinned. "And then i could make sure no one else eats you"

The cub watched the elder male for a moment as though weighing the pros and cons of the offer before nodding a small acceptance. Having a guardian of the nap couldn't be all that bad... Not as long as he proved to be a reliable one, at least. "Ok... No light, though?"

"Just those." He looked up at the crystals before shifting so he could stretch back out on the cool floor again. "But no real light and those aren't bright enough to make a difference." They were barely enough light to see by

"Not too bad..." He glanced up at the glittering crystals for a moment before padding over to where the other male had stretched out. He paused for a moment before flopping down beside him, slowly scootching closer until he was nestled comfortably against the older male's side. Nap time sounded wonderful.

The little godlings wings felt odd against him but other than that it was a lot like curling up with his younger half-siblings. So long as a wing didn't hit him in the face it should be alright to nap with the cub. He closed his eyes but wasn't quite ready to drift off yet. He figured he coudl let the little one go first.

Although the youngster may have seemed frightened and hesitant at first it certainly didn't take him long at all to fall asleep. Soon enough he was making adorable little sounds, one paw twitching on occasion before he fell completely still into the arms of slumber. It was so nice and dark and warm... He couldn't ask for a better sleeping spot.
He had heard it by way of the grape vine that his brother had wandered this way not long ago. The other male had seemed like he needed a bit of space so he'd given it to him... For a while, at least. Eventually he gave up on all sense of hesitation, following the familiar path down to the cave that they both seemed to spend thoughtful time in.
He paused at the opening of the cavern, brow furrowed slightly at the odd scent and the even odder sight. "... Mtambo? Is that...?"

He'd been about to doze off himself when he heard someone coming down the tunnel. He knew it had to be his brother. No one else would come looking for him here.
Opening one eye he saw his sibling before hearing him. "Shuush ... i just got him to go to sleep" He spoke quietly not wanting to wake the little godling up.

His brow furrowed just a bit further as he approached his sibling, head tilting as he paused to glance down at the unlikely duo. "... Looks like you've got a new story to tell." He murmured softly as he leaned down, butting his head lightly against his brother's before shifting to stretch out alongside him. "... I'm jealous. Almost." The distinct teasing in his voice was proof that he really wasn't.
