Dez'i smiled and purred as he leaned into ehr a little more, a purr loudly escaping his throat he was so happy. He nuzzled into her a little more laughing as he did, he couldn't believe how it felt like to be held and felt cared about. He smield at the idea before looking up with her with a big grin on his face. "I'll keep you company and I'll make sure to protect you and keep you safe." He nodded boldly at the idea.
All of this just kept sounding more and more amazing to him. "I'd really like to call you mom." He nodded at the idea again before letting out a yawn. "I'm tired." He said simply mostly to himself as if it was a reminder.

She smiled softly, touched by how trusting he was of her. No one had trusted her like that...not even Ahnik. It overwhelmed her and she was filled with a desire to protect him with all that she had.
Was that how a proper mother felt? If so, she was going to try to be as close as a proper mother as possible!
"Well then, kiddo, how 'bout we rest up 'ere fer a bit, an' when yer more awake, we'll see what food we can find, eh?" She flopped on her side next to him and nudged at his side gently.

Dez'i bit his tongue for a moment before letting out another yawn, yeah he was tired, he could feel his eyes setart to close a little more he really needed his sleep. He looked up at the lioness before smiling and curling up next to her resting his head on one of her paws. "That sounds good." He said quietly purring a little more as he did, he was happy to have some good sleep and the idea of a meal sounded just as good. "Thank you mama." He said as he closed his eyes and started to drift off.

And as he drifted off, she curled herself around him. If anyone dared to hurt him they'd have to get through her first, and they'd be damned if they woke her. She was a sweetheart, truly, but a firecracker if made angry.
"Goodnight, little one."
She let her head come down to rest on her paws and she felt comforted, too, knowing that she was not alone.
She had a cub...
A cub...
And one day she'd call him son.
