Oh, what was this? Donovan was being invited to this woman's house? He would have been excited, but seeing as they both had kids in tow, it was obvious there wouldn't be any hanky panky involved. Somehow... this woman seemed a little bit off.
"That'd be nice." He agreed as he continued on his quest for more strange things. It was possible he was buying for multiple little projects, hence the strange assortment of things.

Vance's wimpering settled down, and though he was a bit surprised at the hug, it was well received. This girl was so soft and gentle. And she smelled nice too.
"O-okay." He sniffled a bit and rubbed at his eyes. So, he just had to hide while she was counting..? Then again... what WAS counting? That was numbers right? He was sure Donovan used numbers a lot...

"Hmm..." Xai tilted her head a little, looking thoughtfully at all the different things he was getting. A mechanic only worked with cars, did he not? Some of these things hardly suited a car! Perhaps he did something else on the side he neglected to mention? "I think you'll like my house." She mused, glancing back to make sure Tyyne and Vance were still okay. She didn't see them anymore but she could hear them! They sounded okay? Tyyne knew to call for her if anyone bothered her or tried to take her somewhere. So Vance was in good hands! She could trust Tyyne a little better with other people's kids.

"All better?" Tyyne asked with a tiny smile, only letting Vance go when he seemed to be alright again. She pat his head and stood up straight. "Alright. Now I'm going to turn around and start counting, and you hide somewhere and I'll come find you. Okay?" She turned around to face the shelves, closing her eyes and putting her hands over them so she wouldn't be tempted to peek. Though in all honesty she probably wouldn't peek anyway but some people liked the assurance.

"Oooone...twoooooo...threeeee..." What came after three again? Oh! "Fooooour..."

"Oh? Why's that, babe?" Donovan asked with a sly look toward Xai. It seemed odd for her to mention that, so was she implying something? It wasn't as though they knew each other very well. Maybe not all hope in getting a little action was lost yet. Maybe.

Vance nodded vigorously to show how much better he was, a wide smile quickly replacing the frown. It was as though he'd never been whimpering.
Vance agreed to the terms of the game. Seemed simple enough!

Vance watched Tynne in awe as she covered her eyes and counted. Was this counting...? He was certain these were numbers....
Oh, but it was rather fascinating to listen to her count. How long till he had to hide? Did he... have to go now? How high did the numbers go before he ran out of time?

Needless to say, the little frog boy became a little too distracted in his own awe of the counting-Tynne to do much hiding.

Xai merely closed her eyes and gave Donovan a smile as he asked her why he would like her house, cocking her head to the side. "You'll seeeeeee~." She giggled, saying nothing more. It was a surprise! She wanted to see the look on his face when she invited him inside; Xai had never had a guest before!

Tyyne was unaware of the fact that Vance had decided to stay and watch her count instead of hiding, continuing to count loud enough for him to hopefully hear her from wherever he was. "Seveeeen...eight...niiiiine...TEN!" Tyyne opened her eyes and turned around. "Ready or not here I--oh." He...was still here! Um, this was not hiding. Giggling, she bent her legs so she was sitting on the floor with the frog boy, folding her hands on her lap with a gentle smile.

"Found you~." She said with a giggle, not wanting to discourage the boy for not playing the game right. "Want to play again? With you hiding...again?" It was a subtle suggestion that this time he go hide. She didn't realize he'd stayed because he was more interested in her counting than going to hide somewhere.

Donovan's smirk grew a little more pleased at her teasing. He leaned to the side a bit and shuffled the things he was holding for a moment. "I can't wait." He said smoothly, then heading to the counter. He had what he needed for now, so it was time to ring up his items. "You ain't gettn' nuthin'?" He asked casually, turning to regard her as his items were rung through.
This night was looking quite promising. What wonderful things was inside this house of hers that he would apparently love? The way she spoke, it totally meant she was hitting on him. Totally.

Hey, it made sense in Donovan's mind.

Vance looked up at Tynne when she finished counting, still awestruck until she looked down at him. He stared back for a long while, watching her kneel down. When Tynne smiled and spoke, he giggled, smiling shyly and fidgeting with his hands. This was a fun game!
"Kay!" Hiding! Got it! Not even waiting for the girl to start counting, Vance shuffled off to find a place to hide...
PostPosted: Thu May 13, 2010 3:13 pm

"Well I did say I came here to satisfy curiosity..." Xai mused, looking away from Donovan to rub at her chin and look around at the things nearby. Hmm. Maybe she should buy something after all? "But...I'm not sure what I could do except improve upon what is already here. I can't use any of these things on any of mine." They just wouldn't be compatible! But whenever Donovan was ready to go they could find their children and she'd gladly bring him to her house! She kind of hoped Evari wouldn't be there considering the girl's track record with boys, and she really didn't want to scare off a new friend.

He was so adorable! Tyyne wanted to hug him again! But she refrained from hugging him to let him shuffle away. "Alright! I'm just going to count to ten again, then." She chirped as she turned around again and covered and closed her eyes. "One...two...three...four...fiiiiive..." She would just draw out the numbers a little now to give him some more time to figure out where he wanted to hide.

This girl sure had high taste in electronics. He even noticed how she seemed to quirk a brow at a normal laptop battery. Just what kind of stuff did this girl usually use? "What? You from the future or something?" He asked jokingly, smirking a bit. He made his purchase and picked up the bag with all his things in it.

Vance, not being very good at the idea of sneaking about, was giggling as he made his way around the store looking for a hiding place. He occasionally would find a spot, peek at Tynne, than scuttle to find another spot. He eventually settled behind a corner of a display, so he could peek around the corner to watch Tynne as she finished counting.

The future? Haha! Xai chuckled and shook her head, waving a hand at Donovan and smiling. "The future? Ha, no. Just not...here~." She chirped, following Donovan around still. That was funny. Though perhaps no one would believe her? What people considered to be the 'future' looked very much like her home planet sometimes! She found it interesting, for certain. Oh, but since he was making his purchases they'd have to go find the children soon! Couldn't leave them behind. "Hmmm...where are Tyyne and Vance?" They were...somewhere! Xai had lost sight of them.

"Niiiiiiine...ten! Ready or not, here I come!" Tyyne chirped, turning around. Oh! Vance really did hide this time! Good boy, he was learning. She kept quiet as she walked around, peeking around things in search of her little friend. She eventually spotted him peeking at her and merely giggled, not looking in that direction for now and instead checking out something else. She didn't see Vance~. Nope. Not at all! "Now where could he be..." Tyyne hummed, wandering past Vance and looking in the opposite direction of him. Vance~? Any Vance here? Noooope! Tyyne turned around with a curious 'huh!' as if she was at a loss as to where to find her little buddy, gasping softly when she spotted him and feigning surprise. "I found you~!"

Donovan smirked. This Xai chic was certainly interesting. One thing was for certain in the young man's mind: This girl was totally into him. As far as he could tell, that's what he had gathered from their interaction. How could he be misunderstanding anything? It was so obvious!
"Hmm. No idea. Guess we'd better find them." He said casually, walking along with Xai in search of the kids. He was in no hurry. More alone time with the hot chick was fine with him.

Vance's heart beat quickened with excitement when Tynne finished counting. The game was over? Did he win? She seemed to be looking for him....
Oh! So this was part of the game? So he had to stay put and let her find him? What a strange game.

Vance continued peeking at the girl as Tynne searched, but gasping and hiding back again when she was nearby. He saw her walk past, and tried not to giggle. He had fooled her good! His hiding was the best!
Vance squeaked and giggled when Tynne finally found him. He wasn't really sure what to do now that he'd been found, but that was an exciting game. He liked being looked for and found!

Vance stared at the girl with a glint in his eye, wiggling a bit with a playful smile before scurrying off into the store a bit further. Counting? There was supposed to be counting? He wanted to hide again!

Xai had already lost Evari once at a store, though that had been entirely her fault because she had thought the girl left the store when really she hadn't...gone anywhere. But! Because of that! She wasn't going to lose Tyyne and make the same stupid mistake. Learn from your past, right? She nodded at Donovan and started walking, looking around things and even under displays for the children. "They shouldn't be hard to find. Tyyne is a good girl, she won't drag him places he does not want to be...unlike my other daughter." She sighed a little, very grateful that Evari hadn't wanted to come and had instead gone out on her own.

"Do you want to hide again or do you want to count this ti--a-ah, wait up..." Tyyne quickly followed Vance as he fled further into the store, not wanting to lose him. Someone could take him! He was so little! Tyyne reached down to scoop him up as best as she could, turning her body to put Vance on her back. It was a little uncomfortable having someone sit on her back but...he was light. Lighter than someone else who liked to jump on her back. She smiled back at the boy and made sure he was steady and holding onto her shoulders before she let him go. "Don't wander off, you could get lost."

Xai spotted them then, clapping her hands together and grinning ear to ear. Awww! They were getting along! Good, good. She had never had any doubt in little Tyyne. "Tyyne, dear. It's time to get going! But Mister Donovan and Vance are going to be coming with us." Tyyne's ears perked and she gasped, turning her head back to Vance. They could play more games at home!

"Do you want to come to our house, Vance?" Not that he really had any choice if Donovan had already agreed to go.

Donovan quirked a brow. "Oh? You have two girls then? This other one a bit of a trouble maker?" The way Xai had spoken of this mystery daughter, he assumed maybe she might be a bit rambunctious. There was always one in the family, right? Or so he heard. He was an only child, so what did he know?

Vance could hear Tynne's hooves running to catch up with him, which made the boy run faster. Not out of fear, but out of excitement, like a game.
Eventually he was caught, and the little frog boy giggled, wiggling in her grasp until he was placed on her back. Woooah! He held onto her shoulders, grinning from ear to ear. He more or less ignored her warning in favor of exclaiming, "Whee! This is cool!"

Vance looked up as Xai and Donovan found them, giggling and wiggling his legs as his dad approached. "Daddy! Iss lika pony! Am I a cowboy?" Donovan wasn't sure if he should correct the boy's manners, or simply laugh at his simple mind. Donovan tried not to laugh and just smirked a bit while scratching his temple. "Don't think so buddy. Pretty sure she's more person, and not at all a pony." As far as he could tell, she seemed to be part deer.

Vance brightened up and nodded his head when it was made apparent he was going to visit Tynne's house. "Yay! Tynne is fun!" He was so excited to play more with his new friend.
Donovan smirked again and looked to Xai. "Well, let's be off. Did you walk, or did you wanna lift in my truck?"
PostPosted: Sat May 22, 2010 6:21 pm

"She makes little boys cry." Xai sighed, actually hoping she wouldn't be home. It wasn't that she didn't love Evari but she didn't want to chase off this nice man she was making friends with and his son who Tyyne was making friends with! So it would be nice if wherever she was..she was going to stay at least until Donovan and Vance were comfortable. But at least this time if she was home they had a warning what she was like! Heh...bah. She really didn't want to scare these two away.

Tyyne waved to the parents as she slowly walked over with Vance sitting on her back, stopping when they were all together again. She did her best to keep him and herself balanced when he started to wiggle, blinking when she was called a pony. Ah, silly Vance. His daddy was right! She wasn't a pony at all! But she didn't have the heart to correct him, patting his hand with a giggle and a smile. Xai was very happy to see Tyyne smiling and enjoying herself with another child, watching beside Donovan. It seemed his son liked Tyyne too! Perfect! That meant she could see Donovan more often if their children liked to play together, right? Just like with Luis and with Switch! Evari actually liked their children and they themselves were very good friends as well! This was working out perfectly!

"Um, well we did walk...a ride would be nice though!" Xai chirped, smiling brightly. Tyyne blinked and looked from one parent to the other, then down at herself. A truck? Like...a car? But those were strangely shaped, and they were filled with seats. Tyyne couldn't sit in a chair! She could barely get on the couch!

"Ah...but Mommy..." Xai gasped at the reminder of who she was here with. That was right! She had trouble sitting on things!

"Oh! Er, is there any way to fit Tyyne?" Because otherwise they would have to walk...and...Donovan would have to figure out how to get to her house on her own? That would be strange.

Makes little boys cry? Part of him really wanted to laugh. Instead he simply chuckled a bit, stifling his full laughter. "A heartbreaker, huh?" He joked lightly.

Donovan rubbed his chin and thought a bit. "She could sit across the back seat the way she sits on the ground. If you'd like to sit with her back there and make sure she doesn't fall?" He suggested after planning out the possibilities. Vance could sit up front with him like always.
"If that works for you?" He asked Tynne with a soft smile. Regardless, he made his way out of the store with the group in tow.

Er...no. Xai chuckled and rubbed at the back of her neck, smiling sheepishly and shaking her head. "Ah...not exactly. She just doesn't play..very nice, sometimes." Everything had to be about Evari, and so help you if you tried to take the attention off her. She felt sorry for the other kids that had suffered through Evari's personality. Some of them got along with her. Thank god for that! Faris was a saint! And Victoria seemed to like her as well, and Kay. Kay liked her too.

At Donovan's suggested Xai's face lit up again with renewed hope. That could work! She'd need a little help getting up into the truck but they could make it work! She looked down at Tyyne as well who was staring meekly up at the two parents, squeaking softly when one of them actually asked her opinion. She could do that, yes. It was how she sat on her temporary bed and the couch, but she'd never been in a vehicle before so she didn't know what one was like. Xai and Tyyne, with Vance on her back, followed alongside Donovan out the store and through the parking lot. Xai was keeping a very eager lookout for this truck of Donovan's, Tyyne just wanted to make sure Vance was safely on her back and not at risk to fall. "Um...it's okay. I think I can do it." She told him softly, blushing a little and playing with a lock of her hair. This was embarrassing. They needed to make special accommodations and it was all because she had a weirdly shaped body! Why couldn't she have a body like everyone else? "Does Vance get to sit with me?" She could hold onto him if she had to! But it would be lonely if she had to sit in the back all by herself. Besides, Mr. Donovan needed Xai beside him so she could tell him where to go, right?

"Sounds like a wild kid." Donovan stated with slight amusement. Xai seemed less proud of the girl and more like she was scared of her own kid. What a fragile woman, he thought. How scary could a little girl be, anyway?

Donovan chuckled and nodded. "If you want him to, I could put the booster seat back there." Vance was still quite a little guy, and a normal seat and seatbelt just wouldn't protect him from much.
Vance hugged Tynne from his perch on her back. "Tyyyyyne~" He crooned happily, wiggling his feet. He liked Tynne. Tynne played with him, and she was pretty and gentle.

They arrived at the large six seater truck. Donovan opened up the passenger side doors wide enough for Tynne to get in, with him and Xai's help, if needed. "C'mere Vance." Donovan scooped the toddler off of Tynne's back and set him down. He then took Vance's booster seat from the front of the truck and installed it in the back. It was supposed to be back there anyway, but Vance complained when he wasn't up front with his dad.

"First things first. M'lady?" He said kindly to Tynne, standing aside so she could get in, perhaps with his or Xai's help.
