"I was awoken by Astrea." And ever since then Bell had been fighting youma. If anything, they were her 'specialty'. More so than fighting the Negaverse. Let's face it - Her youma to Negaverse encounters were three to one. Her first run in was with Lt.Obsidian. She had somehow gotten away from that one in one piece,... Ah yeah, running like a little girl.
Ran, Bell. You ran like the scared little school girl you are... Bell shook her pessimistic thoughts from her head.
Still, sometimes it was better to run than to stay and die. Death...was not something Bell wanted to encounter any time soon. She'd do what she had to in order to get over this and get back out - maybe during her hiatus as a senshi she's throw herself headlong into self defense classes, take up a weapon...something because her power,...was useless with her in this state. It was useless unless she knew how to attack physically.

"That's exactly right," Tallulah beamed at Aurora. This was going swimmingly - not to say she had expected it to ever go any way but, but she'd had a few moments of panic last night. She bent over and scribbled on the notepad. Astraea/Luna, and of course Abel (grouchy as he might be), and then there was...
"I was awakened by Chloe," she said absentmindedly as she wrote. "Do you think you could spell that, the cat with the D name? D-e-r-p-what?"
Polaris'd been... powered up by Der-whatsit? Right, better ask about the rank differences. It wasn't like she hadn't meant to, anyway.
"Aurora," she said, and then looked dead-set at Elzo where he sat abusing one of her pillows. "Elzo. Care to tell the rest of us about the difference between ordinary and Super Sailor?"

Lily sat listening carefully and practically memorizing the chart, when Rose spoke up and she turned to look at the girl. Lily smiled when the girl asked the questions that had been trapped at the back of her throat. She did not understand why they were speaking of the names or who Luna was, but hopefully now she was going to find out.
Her eyebrows rose when she heard Astraea and Luna were one and the same. Her question about the cat essentially fell to the wayside. Astraea had been been explained to her by Argo Navis, so she now felt less like a ignoramus.
However, her stomach rolled at hearing the names were those that had died at the hands of the negaverse. Her thought immediately flew to that night and she mentally added a plus 5 to the list. Her head was bowed and she took a few deep breaths trying to will the memory away.
When Tallulah asked who had awakened those in the room she listened as names of other talking cats fell from the lips of others.
"I was awaken by *********, a little a tail-less cat that eats sweets," her voice was shaky when she began but thinking of the adorable cat put a smile on her face.
She looked to Tallulah as the girl questioned Aurora and the Elzo. The question really peaked her interest and she sat up straight ready to give her complete attention to whomever spoke first.

"*********," Selena instantly responded, curious is anyone else knew of the cat. She'd been rather indulgent, to say the least, very much enjoying the milk Selena had rewarded her with. SHe glanced to the girl the other side of her, Lily was it? She'd been awakened by her too? Woa, these cats kept themselves busy, clearly. "How many are there?" she asked off-handedly, more out of curiosity than anything.
Powering up? This sounded like it would be good to listen to. God knew, she certainly needed more power.

Jaimie, who'd decided to sit on the pillow instead of throw it back at Elzo. ((too many innocent bystanders to put his shoe in it and swing in defense of his girlfriends sensible undershorts.)) leaned against the dresser with his arms folded defensively.
"Yeah what's up with that? I mean do they just walk by and go "BING" Magically you're now stronger? Or did she hint that there was something you had to do?"
If not getting your head pounded into the roof of a building was one of them... he was definitely not going to get powered up for a while Not when could still sort of feel the pounding from Moonstone.
"I mean I dunno about you guys but there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of instruction involved with much of this, which is at minimum annoying. At worst it's dangerous."
He figured he had a good argument for this. If Pegasus had been too close to Linarite the first night, she'd have also been peppered with flaming blades, since Astrea had apparently considered her schedule too tight to mention exactly what 'claws of the lion' did. Much like Elzo had destroyed the boiler room when he was first awakened.

Did he want to share the fact he got a boost when half dead and facing off against Nealite, now queen of the negaverse? Wait. Looking at the board of ********, he noticed a few things missing. He also noticed a picture. Said picture made him uneasy. He chose to ignore it for now. "Well, super basically means you get a boost." He picked up a pencil and waved it around like a school teacher. "You start out with your basic attack that can do s**t all. Mine used to go all over the place and would even hit me if I pulled a retard move. After power up, we get more control, along with more power. Not so much physically, but magically I guess." The pencil was now balanced on his nose.
"By the way, you're missing a crap ton of information. Like Beryl." He visable shudder ran down his spine. "Queen of the negaverse, her human side, Nealite, is racked up with the general king, Charonite. Also Chaos." A shrug. "Kunzite's pretty cool once you get her talking."

All this earned Elzo was a notepad and a sharpie, tossed at him in sloppy underhand. There was no disguising that Tallulah threw like a girl. "Write that down," she said. "Everything you know on the topic."
She added ********* to the growing list of guardian cats, then tapped the pen to her lips, thinking. She now knew that the Negaverse had a queen, but recently they'd encountered something dark and disturbing that wasn't quite royal...
Tallulah fixed her eyes on Belle. She'd been reluctant to bring up their encounter with Tisiphone, because the other girl was still so visibly shaken, but it was important that everyone else know about it so they wouldn't fall into the same trap.
"Belle," she said quietly, "I'm sorry to have to ask you this, but what can you tell us about that night, with Tisiphone and Serandite?"

"She's shacked up with Charonite? Does anyone else hear "Bad Romance" playing to that ******** up cuddlefest?" Jaimie asked, grimacing as though he'd just taken a drink of something and found out it was curdled. "Oh darling, I just love the way you rip out starseeds." He mocked, with an flutter of his hand.
He followed this by dropping both hands into his lap and clearing his throat, apparently having figured out that he was being irreverent when irreverent probably wasn't called for. Especially when one of the others there looked shaken. He could sympathize with Shaken, which probably meant he should warn them about Moonstone.
"I haven't run into either of those two..." Tisiphone didn't sound like a Nega-name... not immediately. He was used to the 'ite' on the end, but maybe it was just ignorance on his part. Or was she on their side? He'd find out in a minute. He understood why they didn't exactly get handed a yearbook of fellow Senshi, but it was still sometimes frustrating not to know.

“ I was awakened by ********* too.”
Rose found it faintly amusing that ********* had awakened her and the other newbies. As small an insignificant as that probably was, it was something they had in common, and something that made her feel a little less disconnected from the situation, so it was welcome.
By now Rose had figured out that this magic stuff was pretty strange. It gave her an alter ego, complete with skimpy female superhero outfit and a magical (but pathetic) attack. What she didn’t understand was how the magic’s power seemed to vary so greatly. How could the power that gave everyone such lame attacks be the same power that enabled people to be reborn? Or was it two different types of magic?
Forehead wrinkled slightly in thought, she was prepared to ask her question when one of the guys, Elzo, discussed power boosts. Much to her dismay, he was rather vague on the subject. Rose wanted to know how one got a power boost; was it like a video game and you had to level up, or was it just a matter of luck?
She was prepared to ask more questions when yet another question was raised, discussing more people with whom she was unfamiliar. Starting to yet again feel lost – oh, she loathed how familiar she was becoming with this feeling – she resigned herself to waiting for at least a brief period before trying to get more answers.

Having a hard time concentrating with all of the names and events and mentions of things he didn't know about being thrown around, Pasha tried his hardest to at least focus on the main points. He'd almost resolved to daydreaming when he heard a familiar name - Serandite. His stomach knotted and he felt sick.
"Um, um, Tallulah," he called to her, reaching to tug on her wrist. "I met Serandite. Twice, actually." The usual pep and excitement was drained from his tone, and he couldn't quite look directly at her or any of the rest of the Basterds. It was so shameful. "The first time I didn't know what was going on 'cause I was really new, and she didn't wanna fight me or anything, but she was hurt...so I gave her some of my band-aids. But the second time she tried to beat me up, and I tried, but-"
He couldn't tell this new team that he hadn't been able to fight her. "But things didn't really work. Here!"
As hastily as he could, he scribbled out a picture of her, hoping it would be helpful. It was the least he could do, considering. Maybe if he'd been able to fight her, his teammate wouldn't have had such a bad night.

When addressed, Bell looked to Tallulah. She rubbed her arms not out of coldness, but security as she worked up an answer. It was Jamie's mocking of this Beryl/Nealite whoever that made the girl hold her breath and visibly retract.
"I was patrolling. Usually I only focus on Youma control, and I saw Tisiphone and Serandite and thought they were senshi too. There was this weird feeling in my stomach that tried telling me that they weren't...s-some wierd...nagging at the back of my mind. But I, I kept trying to push it away. I believed my eyes rather than my gut. They played it off like they were senshi too, so I figured my subconscious was just being paranoid. And then..."
Bell paused, biting her lower lip, and looking down at the floor. When she looked back up she looked at every one of them, "They had my starseed...if only for a moment. It was...the most excruciating pain. There is nothing comparable. It is unfathomable. Even now, after having gone through it my mind can not replicate those feelings again."
It was certainly a wake up call.

So powering up made you more powerful. That made sense. Selena glanced off into the distance, out of the window, pondering what her attack would do if powered up. Would she actually be able to, like...hit a youma? Rather than just stealing a sense? Or maybe she'd be able to choose the sense - that'd be far more helpful that the random muddle her attack was at the moment.
Beryl, Queen, Charonite. ********* had mentioned a few of these things, so they weren't entirely new to Selena, but Kunzite was a new name. Tisiphone, Serandite. Starseeds - ripping them out. Had that been what Valleriite had tried to do to her? ...Perhaps this was serious. More serious than she'd originally thought. Selena looked to Pasha as he spoke, leaning over to have a glance at the drawing. She noticeably frowned as she leaned in further, as if to confirm what she was seeing. "A giant...bunny?"
Was she just being stupid and missing something, here? "I met...Valleriite, I think her name was. She said stuff, about stealing my starseed, and like made as if to do...something. But I ran."
They had her starseed? Selena's eyes widened as she watched Bell, concern practically glowing off of her. Pain...the teen shuddered at the thought.

"It's a plush rabbit," clarified Tallulah as she took the drawing from Pasha. She pinned it to the bulletin board, like a mother proud of her kindergartner's finger-painting, only... different. "But that doesn't mean it doesn't pack a punch." After all, she'd fought the thing. She knew.
She looked sympathetically at Bell. "Thank you," she said quietly. The other girl wasn't recovered yet from that night, but she hoped being on a team would help her over it faster.
Tallulah looked over the rest of her assembled team. "Let that be a warning," she said. "Always trust your gut. If it feels dark, it probably is."
She looked at Selena. "Valleriite?" she asked. "Any more information you can give us about her would be a huge help."
The list on the board was getting longer.

Plush rabbit. Right. And that was her weapon? That didn't really...make any sense, but Selena just nodded and accepted it. She'd learnt by now not to try to understand or explain things, just accept them as being so. And trust her gut - okay. ...Easier said than done.
Information on Valleriite? "Uhh..." Selena pondered, finger on her chin as she tried to remember back a couple of weeks ago, "Not a lot, really. She was dirty blonde, long hair. Dressed...like she was going to a fancy dress party, top hat and a weird belt with the four card suits. And she had this...pole, thing. Like a cross, only bigger and thinner."
She frowned, "She was...strong. Sneaky. I...I didn't realize she was a lieutenant, at first."

Lily listen carefully to all the information, though most of it washed over her. It wasn't until she heard the name Charonite for the third time, that she remembered him. Oh how could she have forgotten. No, it wasn't that she had forgotten, it was that she tried not to think about it.
Her eyes went wide at the picture drawn by Pasha. She had met that girl as well, and a few other's. They had all been there that night. He frown deepened and she shook a bit hearing Belle's words. If it hadn't been for that globe of energy she could have shared the same fate.
Lily took calming breaths listening to Selena speak of a lieutenant name Valleriite. She was glad for the sudden change and subject because her thought were racing and she needed a moment.
Lily looked to the board, seeing Aliens stuck up on the board. "Tallulah," she said pointing, "I'm sorry to interupt, but you can cross the aliens off the board. They, um they're...Charonite .... he uh...", she stumbled unable to get the words out. She was just happy, she wasn't started to cry again, no she'd done enough of that. But how did you announce they all been killed by ... well Lily wasn't really sure, though she did remember what they looked like and what they did.
