Patton nodded a bit at that, "I am lucky to have such a huge family, it keeps my mind off of my blocks on inspiration." the girl explained, "Though I have been considering looking into some extracurricular activities of sorts."

Pilot sent her a curious look after her statement, “Oh really? Like what?” he’d never thought of doing anything but inventing or on occasion reading. Maybe he should get some more hobbies…

Patton made a vague gesture, slumping against the bench a bit. It was one of the few lapses in her posture, a rare moment where she looked openly frustrated. "That's the thing - I haven't the foggiest idea. I need to do SOMETHING though or I'll go out of my mind. Things just feel too cramped at home, like I don't belong there or something."
It was weird to explain this antsy feeling she had. Patton wanted to be out and doing SOMETHING, anything other than just her same old projects! But what? Was there really anything TO do? Anything that would interest her?

Pilot pulled his legs up unto the bench so he could face her properly before sending her a concerned look. He nibbled on his lip, face set in a slight frown, as he thought about what he was going to say - he didn't like seeing his friend upset.
"When my Mom starts feeling smothered by city and family life she heads out with her camera and back into the wilds or goes on one of her digs. So maybe you could just go explore?" Pilot said hesitantly, staring at his lap. Talking about this sort of thing wasn't his forte.

Patton considered the option for a time, "I could. But that also sounds dangerous and like something only an older child would be allowed to do, but I shall make a note and consider it."
"Do you ever get like that?"
