Grape-O-Lantern I've heard the gum itself is addictive and nasty, and patches just sound like an awful idea. D: Looks like I'll be doing this cold turkey when I do. My brother would attest that the gum with the right mint flavor is satisfying enough to forgo a smoke break in the middle of class (we took some accounting classes together a while back). But then he's a multi-user, so he keeps falling off the wagon when he smokes something else and things go south. sweatdrop

The oral-fixation is what gets me. I like to do things with my mouth.
Chewing licorice root - and I mean the actual plant root, not candy- can help and it's vaguely cig shaped.

But If I ever quit smoking, it'd probably be cold turkey.
Patches and gum cost like 40 bucks for the week.
While cigarettes cost about 5 dollars a pack.

It kills you I don't smoke, I used to for a while, and honestly... if you can pull it off, smokers are DAMN sexy, a cig can be an accessory to your look as much as a a watch or a necklace. Yes smoking kills you, but honestly it is pretty damn sexy xd

It's not like you drop dead the moment you inhale nicotine. I smoke. I'm not dead. And if i die, at least I'll die relaxed as hell. And smoking does make you sexy. I don't care what you say. Maybe not EVERYONE looks sexy doing it, but a large number usually do.

My dad took a pill called Chantix(sp?). You can smoke while you take it, but eventually his cravings decreased and stopped all together. He hasn't had a cigarette in 7 years.
I know there are some risks with the pill, but unless you've drunken your liver into oblivion or have severe heart problems, I think you should be fine. stare

I really don't care about smokers it''s their choice if they want to blacken the insides of their bodies.
I just say, don't smoke around me... I hate the smell and it gives me a damn a** headache

I dunn get addiction. Nothing feels SO good that someone shouldn't be able to say, "No, I won't do that today."
I suppose it has something to do with not using drugs to medicate yourself...? Or am I just wayyy off mark with this?
