When Azzo saw the girl his eyes widened, s**t... s**t s**t s**t.... it was the only thing he could think of. Two of them, no way he'd get out of this.

However the boy, shorter than himself wasn't about to let Azzo get away. That much was obvious. It wasn't until the hand plunged into his chest that he actually made any reaction. He screamed he wanted to claw the boy out of his chest. It was worse than his broken ribs.

Within seconds it was over. Eyes hollow staring into space, he was limp as he was sat back by Wolfy, slumping slightly when he was released.... who'd take care of his grandmother? Could she live without him? This would've been thoughts if he could've thought.

Now what was going to happen to him....

They'd run into sailor soldiers before. Typically they showed up with a pun and a 'hold it right there, negasleaze!' This wasn't totally different. She was dressed in a black-and-color uniform, holding one of those absurdly fierce sailor soldier poses. What she said wasn't very punny; it looked more like she was a steam locomotive about to chug off from the station, a teakettle ready to boil over. She looked deeply, personally affronted.

What the sailor soldier said, which got their attention, was: "How dare you?!" Had she never met a Negaverser before? This was sort of what they did -- they dared this stuff every day.

There was something in her hand, a glossy black crescent moon at the end of a deep golden handle. This was currently being pointed straight at the starseed in Wolframite's hand. She didn't attack. She said, in a hard voice like a rock dragged across cement, "By order of Sailor Selene -- by order of the queen of the moon -- I command you to return that starseed." In case that wasn't enough emphasis, she tacked on, "Right now."

Who was she kidding? Was she a first-timer?

This seemed to be the kind of night where you just bumped into all those people you didn’t want to see, and tacking on a sailor senshi just made him roll his eyes up to the sky as if to say Really, now? You couldn’t have just let me be happy with this? First he had a bossy Negaverser and now a rookie senshi who just happened to appear out of nowhere. Didn’t she know that, even though Sassolite didn’t look like she would save him if he was in trouble, that it was still two to one? Apparently she couldn’t do math, and she didn’t seem to put the obvious 2 and 2 together about Negaversers taking starseeds. It was their most basic assignment, and if he wasn’t going to give it to a member of his own team, like hell he was going to hand it over to some senshi was a …a…whatever that was she was holding!

What little happiness he got from taking Azzo’s starseed was ruined by the both of them. He gave a quick look to the scout, showed he was bored, and then said, flat out. “Ah..no.” Hey, maybe he could take her starseed, too. If she had no idea what she was doing, she might only put up a small fight. “You can order me all you want by whatever queen you go by, but I take orders from a queen that is higher up than yours. So wave your little toy some more. See how quickly you get your starseed stolen.” To prove his point, he put the starseed in his coat pocket and then looked at the both of them. If they wanted it, they were going to have to fight him for it.

Sassolite would have happily argued all day over the stupid star seed but the senshi's appearance put pay to that and then she was happy that she wasn't on her own. The senshi, really... their outfits! Sass shook her head and then laughed.

"Really? Can you be any more pathetic?" Sass looked over at Wolframite and then at the body which she was at least pleased to see dead. That stupid boy. Either way a fight against a senshi and this time they weren't going to loose. Two on one meant they were clearly going to win and she could live with sharing the victory of getting a senshi's star seed better to share the victory then not be part of it at all.

Sassolite moved so that she could attack the senshi better and summoned her weapon again. She cringed slightly when it arrived, oh she wished for something better. She was ready though, she wanted this senshi and for once the odds were in her favour.

Sailor Selene pivoted slightly on her feet and stepped back, causing the long ribbons trailing from her waist to hiss along the asphalt. She was tense, but she looked angrier than anything, terribly incensed about the whole situation. Well, they'd dealt with angry before, too -- and an opponent with a temper they couldn't control was an opponent whose weakness was all to easy to exploit. Everything about this sailor senshi was broadcasting 'EASY PICKINGS' in neon block letters. Everything -- except for that look in her eyes, glowing from the center like she'd lit them some kind of bonfire.

"I don't have a queen, you fool, I am a queen. No one outranks me." She eyed Sassolite warily, casting eyes that were clearly baffled at her toy bow and suction cup arrows. Definitely a first-timer, then. "And one way or another, you will obey my order."

She was already running straight at Wolframite as she reached up to lift the large gem off the center of her forehead.

Oh this was just sad. He had fought some rather green senshi before, but this one was topping the cake. Did they just let her loose on the streets, unsupervised? Someone should have kept her at home, but that was the senshis’ mistake, not his. What would be a mistake was to let someone so easy to pick off go when a senshi starseed was on the top of the list of Impressive Things for a Lieutenant to Accomplish. Even sharing didn’t take away from the glory, and he’d gladly toss a civilian starseed in order to half-credit on a senshi one.

At the mention of being a Queen, he was even more surprised. He had heard they were looking around for a princess, but not a queen. As far as he had heard, and he could be wrong, Beryl was the only Queen around. THIS was surprising, and he exchanged a glance with his fellow Lieutenant that said that this could even top a normal senshi starseed, if that was even possible!

Following her lead, he also summoned his weapon, a just-as-pathetic jump rope that he was otherwise getting a pretty firm handle on how to use. He should have. After getting his a** handed to him enough times, he decided to actually practice and it was showing itself to be at least a tad better in hitting and smacking things around than he first thought. It was a good thing too, since the girl was heading straight for him, which startled him at first before he decided just to go for the shot.

He threw the end of one of the jump rope handle’s straight for her. If it landed, as his aim was more luck than skill at this point, then she would get a good knock to the head that he hoped would just drop her where she stood.

She wasn't completely blind to what was going on, however fresh out of the box this senshi was -- but then, she was running right at him: any move he made would've been pretty impossible for her to miss. Rather than dodging, which she couldn't seem to think of in time, her reflex was to raise her left hand to try and catch the jump-rope midair. That was harder to do than it looked; the rope snapped against her wrist, and the centripetal force behind it brought it looping taut around her arm. Once, twice, and then a single tug, happily, dropped her.

She hit the ground clumsily, with a hard thump, kicking and scrambling to try and find her footing again. It was the kind of desperate flailing you usually saw in movies, where the victim was being strangled or smothered with a pillow or drowned -- here it was just her wrist, but she was put totally out of joint even so.

"Selene Tiara Action!" she finally called out, letting fly with a buzzing disc that her little black gemstone had turned into. She didn't seem to be aiming for Wolframite -- or if she had been, she'd missed by about a mile -- but for Sassolite instead, which would've been tactically confounding except that she clearly wasn't operating on tactics.

As the senshi ran towards Wolframite Sassolite moved to shoot with her bow, not that it would do anything but it would have at least caught her off guard but instead she got hit and fell. Was she really that stupid? It was then that Sass moved and was ready to shoot when something seemed to hit her.

What the hell was that? The words that came out of Sass's mouth wasn't anything that you would have normally heard from her but she had been hit and it seemed to come out of no where. She hadn't actually attacked yet either! What was going on??

His aim was great, and he watched as the heavy weight of the handle spun around the girl’s tender wrist and locked in place. With the satisfaction of a fisherman landing a swordfish, he pulled on the rope to tighten it and was near laughing when the girl tripped over herself and fell down, flapping on the ground like a fish out of water. She scrambled as best she could, and he kept his grip firm on his end, turning to give her a little bit of space just to watch her get up. He knew that once you were down, you were at risk of staying there permanently, and he was tempted to give her a hard kick to her side. Instead, he jerked back when she threw something up and then watched it hit Sassolite. He clamped a hand to his mouth to keep himself from laughing, but found it funny that the girl threw her tiara at her and it actually hit. Nice aim, but she was on his team and that wasn’t something that they would let go.

“That wasn't very smart, Queenie." He said, dropping his other hand back down to hold onto the rope. There was no way he was letting this catch off the line. "Here, you can kick her for that.” He yanked on the rope to try and tip the girl over, waiting for the other Lieutenant to get in a good hit before they actually went to the business of stealing her starseed. “Make it count.” He wondered who would reach in for the starseed first, but as long as they went 50-50 with the reward, he was fine with it.

It had only been a glancing blow from a small object, but the little disc cut through the side of Sassolite's skirt and her fishnet stockings and into her flesh, then whizzed back out to settle itself back on Sailor Selene's forehead. It was perfectly clean and centered, and it neatly covered what one or both of them might have noticed the moment before -- the pale violet crescent moon that marked her skin.

Wolframite was tugging the jump-rope every so often to help keep Selene from getting back to her feet; even so, she'd nearly managed to do just that, until Sassolite's boot in her stomach sent her sprawling again, doubled over. She wheezed a breath, giving the two lieutenants cause to enjoy the possibility that she'd cracked a rib or two, but she didn't try to find her feet or press another attack. Selene stayed curled over on herself, nursing her injury. Maybe they were even luckier and she'd collapsed a lung or something severe. Wouldn't that be something to describe to Beryl when they turned over her starseed? Kicking her more improved the odds, which they did when she tried to get away.

A downward shove sent her face-first into the asphalt with a very satisfying grunt, scraping her nose and the side of her face. She was at ground level now, and just a few feet away from where Azzo lay slumped and insensate. Could she see herself in those glassy eyes yet? Had she realized she'd be joining him shortly, a second lifeless shell to pile next to the first? She'd die here, at their hands -- and all that would have become of some supposed big-shot moon queen was a dead girl down some nowhere alley, and a place where she'd spat blood into the oil and dirt and old piss puddle next to a dumpster. Killed by two lieutenants. Beryl would promote them in under an hour.

One hand stayed curled across her midsection; with the other, Wolframite's rope still tangled loosely around it, Selene pushed herself up from the ground. She was still trying to get up. Wolframite shoved her, and she fell tiredly to her side, then rolled till she was on her back, coughing up at the sky.

The smaller lieutenant leaned in to pin her down, to grab out her starseed. There was a look in her eyes, but not the look of someone who saw death standing over her. It was that same look -- a fire you didn't want to get too close to. Undimmed. From the look in her eyes, she'd fight them till they wrenched all the fight right out of her chest.

And fight she did -- she struggled furiously now that he was close to ending her life. Sassolite bent down to try and help her fellow lieutenant restrain the dark-haired sailor soldier, but for once, Selene was faster.

The moon queen produced that black-and-gold wand from thin air again, clutched in her free hand. She jammed it up under Wolframite's chin, till he could feel the rounded rim of the crescent moon pressed against his neck -- and before he could try to flinch away, she shouted, "Blue Moon Reflection!," and the attack caught him full in the face.

"Give me the starseed and then kill your comrade," Selene said, utterly serious.

Things were going well, and they both were enjoying the time by weakening the senshi, this “Queen”, as much as they could and as much at their legs decided they could last before they started to feel a cramp. Like playing hackey sack, they bounced the girl from side to side and at each moment, they paused to catch their breath or to see if she was too tired to get up. Watching, they were surprised to see the senshi turn about and start her slow, unsteady accent back to her legs. Before her knees could even bend up, a yank of the rope to imbalance her and another set of kicks to her side were issued. Since the girl was going to die, or at least become a vegetable, they both knew they could get away with getting a few well-deserves hit in before they tried for the starseed. It was also insurance, since both were sure to know the power of a senshi and didn’t want her to have much of a chance to do much other than cough and roll around on the ground. It was better to hit her too much than too little, but they were mindful not to kill her. He didn’t now what happened to a starseed if you killed the victim beforehand.

Just when they were winded and felt that they had done their job, he rolled her over and went down to take what would soon be theirs. Two people kicking a third would not be ignored if a cop went patrolling down this way, especially with a slumped Azzo right behind them. As the girl gasped and laid on her back, he set his knee down on her stomach to keep her in place and held the rope in the other. With the only other free hand, he went for her chest. That was when the struggling happened. Despite it all, the girl still had some fight, and he held his weapon as the other went to grab one of her wrists and try and get her under control. It always upset him more if they fought. When you could just knock someone out and took their starseed, it was only a brief moment of pain before they were out. All this fighting just grated his nerves, made him tense, and made the fact he was going to end someone’s life more real. Why couldn’t victims behave themselves?

The girl’s free hand broke from their hold, shot out and produced the same toy as before. This close, he could see it was a coal-black, crescent moon, fastened to a gold handle. He would have admired it, maybe seen if he could have it as a trophy, before it was rammed right up against his throat.

His eyes went wide in a expression that said, very clearly, This is not good.. It went quiet enough that he could hear his Adam’s apple bob once against the hard metal of her wand as he swallowed, then she shouted her command.

Nothing immediately happened. Wolframite still looked the same, was in the same position, as he was before. He neither glowed with a bright light nor did his eyes glass over. Instead, he blinked, and then looked over to Sassolite before smiling. “Yes, My Queen.” His tone suggested a deep respect and love of the woman he just spoke to, and he released his weapon before reaching into his pocket. Taking the hand he once had wrapped, now with a nice rope burn about her wrist, he held it lightly, and pressed the crystal in her hand. All of this he did gently, looking at her with a dreamy expression before helping to pull her up till she was at least sitting. Then, without further ado, he looked up and threw a punch at Sassolite’s direction. If she wasn’t quick, her face was going to get a lot sorer.

Sassolite was enjoying herself, who wouldn't when they were beating a queen to death and would have her starseed and be well famous. They would be popular beyond belief for killing a moon queen. Sassolite was imagining it and so the smile was stuck to her face as she kicked this so called queen and helped Wolframite by holding her down. It was too much fun, she was enjoying it stupid amounts.

Sassolite was using all strength to hold her down, she was strong, a lot stronger then Sass was expecting and when her hand shot out and then threw something at Wolframite, well she wasn't sure what was going on.

"He won't do..." Her response came quickly after the queen had spoken but was more then surprised when Wolframite did exactly what she said and called her his queen. Something was wrong really wrong and Sassolite looked more then confused especially as he turned and went to punch her. Luckily she had kind of woken up by then and moved back but she really didn't know what to do.

"What the ******** are you doing? Kill the b***h you idiot. Beryl will want her dead not me! She will kill you for letting the ******** queen go!" She didn't normally swear that much but this wasn't exactly normal circumstances and she hoped however the feeble the hope that actually he might listen. She got the feeling that might not happen though. Beryl was going to be hearing about this though even if it meant talking to Nealite, which Sass would never do unless she had to.

Sailor Selene didn't make it all the way to her feet, not right away. She lunged forward, catching herself on her hands. Her left hand was fisted shut around a starseed, and her right still gripped the handle of the Crescent Wand, so her knuckles scraped against the little rocks that had been embedded in the alley for traction. The erstwhile moon queen sank down next to Azzo with a sigh of relief as though she'd crossed the desert to find a watering trough -- sparing a single glance back to make sure things were still going as she expected.

"Wake up," she said flatly, around a slightly swollen lip. Selene opened her palm over the chest of the prone high schooler and held it there, seemingly a little protectively, while she waited. Sure enough, after a moment, the starseed soaked through his clothes and integrated into his skin again. She took a second look back, already picking up her wand. "Quickly," she hissed, as though in doing so she could affect Azzo's return to his senses. She gave him a brief shake on one shoulder. "Wake up, damn you."

Azzo's eyes shot open when she shook him. He took a breath rather shakily hand going up to his chest, accidentally brushing hers... He pulled away quickly thinking she was one of the negaverse minnions.

Azzo tried to scramble back away from her, only to find his chest felt like he'd re-broken his ribs, what in the hell happened? He stared in her eyes, they had this weird... spark to them.

He suddenly noticed the negaversers fighting. "Oh s**t..." He muttered, wincing at memory of the pain, looking at her trying to scoot back forgetting he had been against the wall, it took a second to realize she was senshi, a black clad one...

His eyes looked form her to them, then back to her, suddenly he was trying to get up, or trying to help her up, he wasn't sure what he was doing. However, he knew they needed to be up, and that he wasn't about to stick around. Azzo also wasn't about to leave her alone to fight two against one.

He was trying to quickly get his barrings as well. When he got his head back together and they were 'safe' he'd probably think to ask what the hell happened. One thing seemed to be able to knock him off his guard and quick daring plans to try to save people, it seemed knocking him out cold or almost killing him worked really well.

If someone had said that he would be siding with another Queen, Wolfram would say they were dreaming. For him to go against the Negaverse would probably make him laugh. To say he could willingly give a starseed to the enemy, well, he would have just stopped you right there and told you to go get yourself checked out. His respect for the king and queen were high, as was for the group who’s flag he served under.

This was a nonexistent thought when he looked at Sassolite, gritting his teeth to see her dodge his blow. He was on a mission, and his eyes said, very clearly, with the most conviction he had ever held for killing someone, that he was going to do everything in his power to follow the simple instructions he as given. “…Not if I kill you first.” He didn’t bother summon his weapon, having left it on the ground as he started to now move towards the other Lieutenant, going for a rising punch to her stomach. The only idea that floated in the haze of his mind, the crystal purpose that broke through it all, was that his Queen, the sole commander, had a wish, and that was to have this girl dead. To him, this was the only thing worth doing, and he pulled everything in his power to execute this.

However, the fog was lifting, and the shimmering glow of that command was slowly fading. Already, his conviction to go through with what he was doing was leaving him, and a slow sense of what he was doing, who he was, and who he worked for was returning.
