this has turned out to be quite a deep thread. so i give koodos to you topaz! uh..ill do a list thingy like other people...not in any real order

1. A person has the freedom of choice to do/be/believe/act the way he/she wants as long as it doesn't conflict with the personal freedoms of another individual and doesn't cause harm to other people or their things. (basically, i have no problems with races, sexuality, profession, religion, etc...)
2. Lying, cheating stealing (in any form)=bad
3. murder isn't right no matter what context you put it in. (im against death penalty, and war and im a pacifist- there is always anotehr way)
4. these are basic rules..which are VERY GRAY and FLEXIBLE, there are many exceptions and judgemnt calls.
for example- i belive in pro-choice, and i don't liek the death penalty casue i think its the easy way out, nto becasue its inhumane.

um thats all i got for now.

Tankies! Hey I have to make people use their brains every once and awhile. :: giggle :: Come to think of it, what you said for #1. Isn't their actually a problem with everything? I mean someone somewhere has a problem with something in that list.
3) I don't like the death penalty either, but I do see how a life for a life could be fair. ( In the instance that someone killed someone else on purpose.) I think wars should be fought in words. Words don't physically kill people. Also it would keep stupid people out of them. xd
4) What would you like to see done besides the death penalty? I mean in terms of being worse?

As for me, I think my believes are totally different from the polish society
a -most of the poles are conservative, I am the opposite
b- I am an atheist, and so I am called Satan by some people in poland.
c- I do not thing that being poor is something "cool"
d- I have morals( in that sense that i for example do not steal , which is almost accepted in the society)( cheating is 100% accepted)

conservative huh? Would that be far left conservative or not so conservative? Wow wha, cheating is acceptable?

hehe a funny story here , one of the so called teachers was eating lunch during one of the lessons .So the students were all rewriting down and nagging at me
" heheh you do not cheat, I do not need to learn to get good notes"
Then i told the director, and as the director can't say that cheating is good.
The teacher's not letting them rewrite their homework during class anymore, but she say things like" that psycho is not letting you rewriting" or " You can't rewrite down, because that idiot does not like it"

Now i started a war against cheating and rewriting,Of course I am bullied because of that, but well. I was bullied before to, so there is no difference.

( ohh and the polish kids constantly brag about, how good the
y are at cheating... no response from the teachers.)

Wow, I'm sorry. But ya know, I think rewriting in class is illy anyway. If you honestly did your homework beforehand why not take the time to do it neatly, or rewrite it at home? I'm sorry that you get bullied, but I suppose we all have had to get bullied about something at some point and time. At least for you it's for standing up for a cause and not for something as minute as an odd or different appearance.

topaz- i think that being jailed for life with the knowledge of the crimes u have comitted....is punishmetn enough. the only PROBLEM with this (all of my statments have problems, because i haven't really figured jack out. and i know this) is that some people think that wht they did is right..so they life in a glorified state instead of teh horrible self-loathing and torment i imagine.
i like ur take on war tho topaz- keep the stupid people OUT!

tenshi-political standing- i agree.. almost completly!

I wish that was punishment enough for most people. Than again that'd be quite tough on the system because they'd have to create more jails, and also that would create a hazard for the general public because we would have the risk that these serial killers and rapist may get out and commit more crimes. That frightens me.

I do see what you mean though. Right now there is a friend of mine from middle school that is all over the news. He and this other guy from our middle school ( who happens to be a son of one of my church memeber friends) decided to go out and kill someone for fun! They just went out joy riding and shot and killed this old man. The scariest part was that it happened close to my neighborhood. They don't know my car, it could have been me, or my father or something. I don't want them to face the death penalty, but don't you see how they are deserving of it? It's a catch 22. sad I'm upset, but at the same time I pray for God to have mercy on them.

i just have to state thta it is 1. CHEAPER to keep someone in jail than to execute them. 2. more jails wouldn't relaly need to be created, because not THAT many are actually sent to death anyways. 3. if they do, then its good for the economy- creates more jobs for construction workers, police men, lawyers, etc. 4. it would be for LIFE, no parol..so they would NOT get out. not if they set it up right. i mean how many times have u actually heard of people breaking out of a real jail? like not in the movies.

for those kids....i think they need therapy first.

my motto is "an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind" that basicly means everyone has done something bad to somebody and I say that everytime I wrong somebody to remind me that person has done something wrong to somebody else. oh and my other motto is "stealing aint killing" wink
