"Yes Ma'am" Brecken answered for the both of them - Lichen didn't speak to adults much and who could blame him really given the treatment they had received from their mother. Penthesilea said this was a good place and the stranger - Chivosi seemed to have a kind way about her but Brecken would wait on his judgement. Wait and see what she was like once the Queen had left, he had learned early on that how wolves behaved around Penthesilea could be vastly different from the way they behaved when her back was turned. Or at least that was how it worked with his mother.
Chivosi sighed and watched the green female leave before turning back to Penthesilea "All pups deserve the chance for a good life...and YMCA has let it been known we are willing to take on pups that cannot be cared for elsewhere. It is what we do and who we are" She said with a slight shrug "But these pups are shared blood between our packs. They are family. However we are not a pack of warriors...and so perhaps in accordance with this shared blood between us we could call upon you and your sister should we ever require the assistance of strong warriors?" It was an idea that had just struck Chivosi, at least in this conversation but it made sense and she had long thought to find them some stronger allies among the neighboring packs. Derecho had expressed an interest in seeing to this but of course he still had some growing to do.

Penthesilea smiled at Bracken, having him around would hopefully ease the transition for Lichen into this new life. "I agree that they all deserve a chance, which is why I forced Thealia into this." Had Penthesilea not intervened after the pups were born they would all likely be dead now - well not Azalea but she was female. She considered Chivosi's words carefully. Indeed the packs did have a blood bond now because of these pups and it was only right that Antianeira provide protection for YMCA as long as they continued to be a safe haven for those wishing to leave the sisterhood. "Blood bound we are. You have my word that as long as both our packs stand that you will have the protection of my sisters. It is the least we can do for you for taking on our less fortunate members."
After thinking on another offer for a few moments Penthsilea spoke again. "And should you ever have any females who wish to know the ways of the warrior they will be more than welcome to come and train with my sisters. However I am afraid I cannot extend this offer to your males at this time." Surely after explaining the packs status Chivosi would understand why they could only offer to train females.

Chivosi listened to the others words and nodded after a few moments of thought - it was as good of a deal that she could ask for and the added offer - though only extended to the females - was a kind one, perhaps Aleu would like to visit some day, if only to gather fodder for more songs."So agreed" Chivosi sealed the deal between them.
"I know one or two who might be interested in that offer, I shall pass it along" She told Penthesilea before glancing down at the pups, they looked even more tired then a few minutes ago - tired and worried and she frowned slightly - what they needed was a good meal and a good rest. She would have to take it easy on the way back to the dens.

Penthesilea dipped her head. "Agreed." What had started out as a trip to find the pups a new home had now blossomed into a pact between the two packs. This was a high note to end things on, standing once more she stretched out her muscles. "I look forward to meeting those females one day." Glancing down at the poor tired pups she let out a sigh. Lowering head head once more to address them one last time. "Bracken look after your brother, he needs you. Both of you listen to what Chivosi tells you, she is your new pack leader and must be respected. I shall visit you soon." She took the time to give them each a loving nuzzle and then a small, gentle nudge towards cchivosi.
Raising herself back up she gave Chivosi one last tip of her head. "I will visit them as often as I can. Thank you once more. Until next time." Slowly she turned and padded off. There was still much work to be done today so she couldn't dawdle too much.
Lichen reveled in those few seconds of affection from Penthsilea. She may be a bit intimidating to look at but at least she treated him nicely. As she turned and left he let out a single sad whine, there went the first individual who had ever cared for him. Letting out a yawn he looked at his brother and then Chivosi. He really wanted to sleep now but was afraid to say so.

"until next time" Chivosi bid good-bye to th other alpha before turning her attention to the small pups - they were far to young for the journey they had been forced to make and she could tell they were tired. "It is not far to the dens" She promised them "Once there you can sleep soundly and safely for as long as you like" She wished there was someplace closer she could take them but there wasn't. Not someplace safe anyways.
nosing them each in turn she motioned with her muzzle "Follow me then and we'll get you a good meal as well" Turning about she padded slowly towards the den's. Generally with puppies the promise of food would gt them motivated.
Bracked looked unsure as Pen left but he didn't whine as his brother had, merely looked at Chivosi as though expecting her to turn into a ravening monster. Instead she offered food an a nap - both things he desired and so wit a glance and a shrug at his brother he followed along behind their new alpha.

The mention of food and a nap certainly snapped Lichen out of his sadness. He could go for a nice long nap and a snack might be nice as well. Hunger was one of those things that had often angered his mother if he mentioned it so it was nice to have Chivosi offer it so easily. Tired legs carried him slowly after his new Alpha and towards the promise of sleep.
